Stop The ACLU: Join Debbie Schlussel

It is that day again, Stop The ACLU Blogburst Thursday. But, you have to dig pretty deep into the news or the ACLU’s website to find anything other then their "stop protecting the United States, dammit!" lawsuit. Fine.

What I need you folks to do is to go to Debbie Schlussel’s site, and let her know you are interested in opposing the lawsuit:

Since the lawsuit was filed in U.S. Federal Court in the Eastern District of Michigan, where I practice, I’ve already been contacted by concerned U.S. citizens who wish to intervene in the case as interested parties (whose interests and welfare are affected by this case) in support of the government’s activities. And we may do so. You may feel free to contact me regarding this if you are interested in adding your name.

Do it. Now. I’m watching my internal metrics to see how long you were here.

It all comes down to what you believe. I believe that sure, we need to be careful over the powers of the federal gov’t. But, perhaps we should have a little trust in that they will not be monitoring our phone conversations if we are not talking with terrorists overseas. Somehow, I just do not think the NSA has the time or inclination to listen to me yapping lovey dovey with a girlfriend. All the groups that the NSA has supposedly been spied on by the NSA without a warrant are missing something: proof. Just typical hysterical conspiracy theories. And, if the NSA did spy on groups such as PETA, CAIR, and Greenpeace, I could care less. Maybe they should stop their illegal, violent, activities.
