Speaking of Executions

I wonder why all those folks protesting for Tookie ignored this guy?

PARCHMAN, Miss. – A 77-year-old convicted hitman was executed Wednesday, becoming the oldest person in the nation put death since capital punishment was reinstated nearly three decades ago.

John B. Nixon Sr. still claimed innocence as he was strapped to the death chamber gurney, and blamed one of his sons for the 1985 murder of a Mississippi woman.

Nothing included in the story about any protests. Nothing in the Mississippi papers or TV sites about protests. Hmm, I wonder why? Where was the Reverand Jesse Jackson? Where were Mike Farrell, Sean Penn, and Joan Baez, and the rest of the Hollyweirdo’s? I guess they only protest for Black gang founders whose conviction has been upheld for 24 years. John Nixon has only been on death row since 1985. I guess it must be the time on death row that brings out such great anti-death penalty folks. (sic)

Speaking of Tookie:

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) – Executed gang founder Stanley "Tookie" Williams will be memorialized at a grand funeral in Los Angeles next week, then his ashes spread on the African soil of his ancestors, supporters said.

Gee, isn’t that nice? Celebrating the death of a convicted murderer and……well, y’all know the rest.
