Oh, goody, yet another Liberal 2nd Amendment hater and hypocrite
I don’t. I hope never to find myself in a situation where I would have needed one to protect my life–though I concede that this is a dire possibility in a country where guns seem so prevalent. They are designed for only one purpose: to kill. And I myself am enough in tune with Buddhist teachings to believe that the taking of life is wrong in any circumstance–and, yes, that includes the saving of my own. I’m not naïve enough to believe that I wouldn’t resort to violence in order to preserve my life, but I would not prepare for that contingency with the purchase of a gun.
So, Pete, as a good liberal, what are your opinions on abortion on demand, and your Parties complete and total support of it as its #1 required position? Do you agree with abortion? Are you for it? Against it? Do you find it acceptable that supporting “choice” is so important to the Democrat party? Because, you know, abortion is killing. A fetus is not just a piece of tissue. It is a human life.
If someone wanted to kill one of your family members, would you
- a. step aside and allow it?
- b. blow the SOB’s head off if handed a gun?
Liberals do love their Dukakis moments, though (debate 2).
So where is sanity? When do we begin to recognize that not every American citizen needs, or has a right to an assault weapon to protect his home, his family, his person. As for those who choose to hunt deer, or bears, or rabbits, or squirrels, or whatever other of God’s creatures they like to assassinate, are shotguns and rifles not weaponry enough for their valiant efforts?
No, not every citizen needs one, but, every citizen has a Constitution Right to one. Yet another liberal who selectively picks and chooses which parts of the Constitution they like. We can “recognize” when you liberals actually change the 2nd Amendment.
Personally, I do not see the need to own an assault rifle, but, hey, if you want to own one, that is your Right. Me, I do not own a gun. While I enjoy shooting them, if have never needed one. I have thought about getting one, many friends of mine do. I actually have a fake Walther P99 (which is rather coincidental, cause Stacy just bought one a few weeks ago), and you will not be able to tell that it is not real, unless I need to actually shoot. It even sounds correct when acting like you are chambering a round.
But, if I want to get one, say, a Baretta 84 Cheetah, which is good for my hand size, and a comfortable gun for me, I can. I not pissant liberal can stop me, cause that pesky Constitution thing says I can.
