HuffPost: Pete Clothier On Guns

Oh, goody, yet another Liberal 2nd Amendment hater and hypocrite

I don’t. I hope never to find myself in a situation where I would have needed one to protect my life–though I concede that this is a dire possibility in a country where guns seem so prevalent. They are designed for only one purpose: to kill. And I myself am enough in tune with Buddhist teachings to believe that the taking of life is wrong in any circumstance–and, yes, that includes the saving of my own. I’m not naïve enough to believe that I wouldn’t resort to violence in order to preserve my life, but I would not prepare for that contingency with the purchase of a gun.

So, Pete, as a good liberal, what are your opinions on abortion on demand, and your Parties complete and total support of it as its #1 required position? Do you agree with abortion? Are you for it? Against it? Do you find it acceptable that supporting “choice” is so important to the Democrat party? Because, you know, abortion is killing. A fetus is not just a piece of tissue. It is a human life.

If someone wanted to kill one of your family members, would you

  • a. step aside and allow it?
  • b. blow the SOB’s head off if handed a gun?

Liberals do love their Dukakis moments, though (debate 2).

So where is sanity? When do we begin to recognize that not every American citizen needs, or has a right to an assault weapon to protect his home, his family, his person. As for those who choose to hunt deer, or bears, or rabbits, or squirrels, or whatever other of God’s creatures they like to assassinate, are shotguns and rifles not weaponry enough for their valiant efforts?

No, not every citizen needs one, but, every citizen has a Constitution Right to one. Yet another liberal who selectively picks and chooses which parts of the Constitution they like. We can “recognize” when you liberals actually change the 2nd Amendment.

Personally, I do not see the need to own an assault rifle, but, hey, if you want to own one, that is your Right. Me, I do not own a gun. While I enjoy shooting them, if have never needed one. I have thought about getting one, many friends of mine do. I actually have a fake Walther P99 (which is rather coincidental, cause Stacy just bought one a few weeks ago), and you will not be able to tell that it is not real, unless I need to actually shoot. It even sounds correct when acting like you are chambering a round.

But, if I want to get one, say, a Baretta 84 Cheetah, which is good for my hand size, and a comfortable gun for me, I can. I not pissant liberal can stop me, cause that pesky Constitution thing says I can.

CounteSS Vampira Arianna couldn’t keep her ex-husband…satisfied… so he went gay like NJ Gov. McGreevy? “I’m going to HUFF and puff and not blow your…down darliiiing!”

  2. Stacy says:

It’s really funny you posted this, I just got back from the shooting range again.

I’d leave a comment at HuffPo, but I know they wouldn’t allow it to post. So I’ll leave it here.

In our nation roughly 50 individuals are killed each and every day by a drunk driver. Additionally, there are 500,000, yes, HALF A MILLION, injured each and every year by a drunk driver; some permanently. When someone wants to make the argument regarding the danger of firearms, why don’t they make an argument for something that causes far more damage than a random shooting? Why is there no legislation to remove alcohol from store shelves and restaurant menus?

It takes three things to make a gun fire. You need a gun, ammo and a person. If any of those three things are missing from the equation; nothing happens.

It takes three things for a drunk person to kill; alcohol, a car and a person.

Alcohol and firearms in the wrong hands, causes great destruction.

Next time someone wants to introduce more gun laws, ask them why they do nothing about the countless families whose lives have been ruined by drunks. Alcoholism does not only to damage behind the wheel; but it is responsible for much of the domestic violence and disfunctional family environments.

BTW, this is what I hope Santa brings me.

The ones who stand against weapons say they are made to kill, so it would be their “natural” function, while cars are made to transport people. But the fact is that guns are made to defend oneself. That’s the aim. Killing or injuring are just the means.
In Spain we cannot have guns. I’d love to be in USA…

  5. George Felendorf says:

Geez, where to begin? You actually do not have a “Constitution Right” — as you wrote — perhaps a “Constitutional Right”. It is not a BARRETTA but it is instead a Beretta… And you want such folks to be further armed? You guys can read or spell!

It is a sad fact that today the Bushie fascist President can (and has) ordered innocent persons arrested, kidnapped, tortured, kept in secret prisons for more than five years, AND that has happened even to citizens. They released a few ’cause they really were innocent. Other they simply murdered (tastefully, overseas) as it was too embarassing.

So much for Constitution rights (sic) which none of our BARRATTTA-carrying CONSERVATIVES have so much as burped or worried about.

Then there are the fears you CONSERVATIVES swallowed hook line and propaganda becasue you cannot think for yourselves. How many like the bully brave (stupid ignorant) war in Irak now? Duh! That the problem with folks who cannot read, spell or think for themselves. You think your Barat (Beretta) will save you from the Patriot Act? When they come for you, your burpa gunna will notta save you, but by then it will have been a long while that you voted the U.S. Constitution down the drain with a jingo-ingorant fear of Channey’s invented phobias.

Shame on you. The last refuge of a scroundrel is patriotism. You traitorous CONSERVATIVES have hidden behind the flag, fearful from your lack of knowledge, armed with you childish BArattatatas, while your CONSERVATIVE bosses move your jobs overseas, pay themselves very well and almost all have substantial wealth outside the US. Phoey!

    Christ wept, you guys!

  6. You’re exactly right, Stacy, but, libs would not answer, because then they would not have their gas guzzling SUVs to drive to their hate Bush drink fests.

    Pink glock 🙂

Seleucus, you are right, too. If I went insane, I could easily wack more people with my CRV then with a gun in less time.

Georgie, Baretta was spelled correctly. And, no, I did not edit the post. Plus, can you show your Bush derangement just a little more?

  7. Stacy says:

George honey, your stupidity is showing. You might want to do some Google searches and check some facts. In communities that promote responsible gun ownership, crime rates are far lower than in “gun-free zones”.

I’m quite good at thinking for myself sweetheart. I do not march to the beat of the GOP. I’m a pro-abortion, pro-civil unions, considering the idea of legalizing drugs, right of center individual. So, yea, bite me. Do you realize that the comment you left makes you look like you’re in need of medication? Geezuz, act like an adult.

  8. Stacy says:

Just a bit more; when I leave a comment on a blog where I disagree with the ideology of the author and his/her regulars; I am always respectful. It’s not my territory, it’s theirs. It their outlet and I respect the space. I have had some wonderful, engaging conversations with people I normally would not communicate with. In fact, I’ve made several friends that way.

  9. seleucus says:

George, I understand you call Bush a fascist, since you’re a well-raised ignorant American who has been living in a democracy from birth. I was born in a dictatorship, under Franco in Spain, and my parents lived under his tyranny for half a life. My poor mum lived under Mussolini in Italy also. So don’t give me lessons about fascism, you don’t know what this word really means. And take a tour through North Korea. I am sure you’d like it. Don’t need to come back. Stay there.

  10. darthcrUSAderworldtour2007 says:

Ironic how secular liberals use ‘Christ’ to cherry pick and choose, eh? The Son of God is more CONSERVATIVE than you think. Conservatives do not remove the CHRIST from CHRISTMAS, nor his birthday Nativity Scenes from our memories! Kiss off !!
