TTLF: Global Warming About Making Money?

Uh oh

(BBC) The public believes the effects of global warming on the climate are not as bad as politicians and scientists claim, a poll has suggested.

The Ipsos Mori poll of 2,032 adults – interviewed between 14 and 20 June – found 56% believed scientists were still questioning climate change.

There was a feeling the problem was exaggerated to make money, it found.

It is rather hard to believe that global warming as caused by Man is anything other then mule fritters, when the people who are pushing it are selling books, flying around the world, taking limo rides, holding huge concerts which use lots of power, having a stake in carbon trading comanies, and refusing to live the life they say will save the planet.

The survey suggested that terrorism, graffiti, crime and dog mess were all of more concern than climate change.

You make up your own minds on that sentence.

People had been influenced by counter-arguments, he said.

Royal Society vice-president Sir David Read said: "People should not be misled by those that exploit the complexity of the issue, seeking to distort the science and deny the seriousness of the potential consequences of climate change

Nor should they be misled by hysterics who distort Man’s influence while completely ignoring natural processes, as well as seeking to benefit from "climate change."

If climate change (meaning caused by Man) is so bad, is so dangerous, is so easily recognizable scientifically, then why is that science not put forth in a scientific manner? Why is the majority of what is being said simply hyperbole and outrage? Why do so many disagree on the possible effects? The UN IPCC uses those incredibly scientific words "Likely" and "Very Likely" quite a bit. The Theory of Gravity does not state that it is "likely" or "very likely" that an apple will fall to the ground; it says it will fall to the ground at an exact rate. Gravity is real.

Meanwhile in the Southern Continent, heartache for the Goracle: a judge in Rio cancels the Live Earth concert. Gotta love how one of the remaining concerts is in one of the worst "global warming" offenders, China, which refused to sign the Kyoto Protocol, the same as Bush Clinton.

The Arctic Monkeys are questioning the need for said concert, like many other music stars have. I wonder which concert the Goracle is going to jet off to? Maybe several? Lots of CO2.
