Muslim Extremists Respecting Their Religion

Oh, no, wait, they aren’t

The terrorists who claimed responsibility for the deadliest attack in Algeria in almost a decade tied Tuesday’s twin bombings to the recent death of a leading al-Qaeda radical and to the forthcoming Islamic holiday, Eid al-Adha.

“On the eve of Eid we are heralding to the Muslim nation the good news of two operations carried out by two martyrs,” the group calling itself al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb said in an online posting.

Hmm. What is Eid al-Adha?

Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is the most important feast of the Muslim calendar. It concludes the Pilgrimmage to Mecca. Eid al-Adha lasts for three days and commemorates Ibraham’s (Abraham) willingness to obey God by sacrificing his son. Muslims believe the son to be Ishmael rather than Isaac as told in the Old Testament. Ishmael is considered the forefather of the Arabs. According to the Koran, Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son when a voice from heaven stopped him and allowed him to sacrifice a ram instead.

The feast re-enacts Ibrahim’s obedience by sacrificing a cow or ram. The family eats about a third of the meal and donates the rest to the poor.

So, an extremely important religious holiday to Muslims – then again, what religious holiday is not really important? – and Muslim extremists celebrate by detonating bombs and killing people.

Considering that the United Nations was one of the targets, on purpose, mind you, and that the UN building in Algeria was called “the headquarters of the international infidels’ den,” I wonder if the UN will get what the intentions of Muslim extremists actually is? Of course, the UN does have such bastions of human rights as Cuba, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Angola sitting on the Human Rights Council.

I wonder if they had flushed a Koran?

But, it also begs the question: if Muslim extremists are linking murderous bombings with their religious holidays, is this what they really think their religion is about?

I understood Islam when I read The Fourty Days of Musa Dagh, by Franz Werfel. An amazing novel.

Actually, you should read Gregory Davis’ book, which I delved into this past summer, Religion of Peace? Islam’s War Against the World. Pretty enlightening stuff. According to Islamic scholarship, the world is divided into two houses, the Dar al Islam (House of Islam) and the House of War. Any individual or group that does not practice Islam is included in the house of War. That means the West, all of us. And either you are Muslim or you are eligible to either submit or die. And according to the Koran, all the earliest passages in Mohammed’s surahs that spoke of the people of the book and Christians, was due to political expediency. He and his followers were small in number and did not represent a political or military force. Once however, Mohammed acquired considerable numbers of converts, he and they either converted infidels or killed anyone who wasn’t them.
In the almost 14 centuries since the founding of Islam, Muslims have killed over 100 million human beings all in the name of Mohammed and Allah. Not a pretty picture and certainly not a religion of peace.
In later surahs, Mohammed demonstrates his rather psychopathic character and announces to one all that lying, dissembling, murder, suicide, and terrorism are all acceptable in the name of Allah. So, one must conclude that terrorists are not extreme according to the Koran, they are the norm. This is why I believe Islam is antithethical to everything America stands for. When you look at what the Taliban did to Afghanistan and its people in the name of Islam, you would have to conclude that Islam far from being a religion of peace, barely qualifies as a religion. It is more a political-military entity, culturally fascistic with elements of religion thrown in to justify mass murder and other equally heinous human behavior.
This is more than likely the reason there is no outcry from so-called moderate Muslims; moderation just doesn’t exist within the framework of Islam. And we will be looking forever in that case to liberalism’s fantasy-ridden detriment.
