TB Friday Featuring The Surrender Monkey: Warner Goes SM

Happy Friday to all! It’s that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it!

John Warner Gibbon

It’s always pleasant to place a Republican in the Surrender Monkey camp. Give a big hand to John "Surrender Gibbon" Warner!

Sen. John W. Warner, one of the most influential Republican voices in Congress on national security, called on President Bush yesterday to begin withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq in time for Christmas as a new intelligence report concluded that political leaders in Baghdad are "unable to govern effectively."

Warner’s declaration — after the Virginia senator’s recent four-day trip to the Middle East — roiled the political environment ahead of a much-anticipated progress report to be delivered Sept. 11 by Army Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq. Although Warner had already broken with Bush’s strategy, this was the first time he endorsed pulling troops out by a specific date.

OK, so the NIE on Iraq politically was not that great. So, let’s give up. Pull the plug. If memory history serves, it took some time for our government to get it together. Hell, it is really working no better then Iraq’s, minus the violence. Doing this to put pressure on the Iraq government negatively is the wrong move. Like with the Democrats, where has Warner been in offering constructive ideas and help to the Iraqi government? Bueller? Bueller?

The problem is too many naysayers, usually for political purposes, and not enough helpers. Not enough people giving positive, concrete, formative, ideas and actions. Yes, we want our troops out, leaving some to be able to fight mid-East terrorism. We do not want them dying or getting wounded. And Warner is not helping. Not at all. As the saying goes, pitch in or get out the way. Warner should get the hell out of the way.
