Israeli Strikes Kill Civilians Across Iran

An 8-year-old girl who loved dancing in a red dress at her dentist’s office. A 28-year-old national equestrian champion. A young poet one week away from her 24th birthday. A graphic designer who worked at National Geographic. Grandparents in their 80s.

All are among the civilians killed during Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

Israel has said it does not target Iranian civilians, but hundreds have died in the violence. Every day since the war began, a new face, a new name, a new story of a life that ended violently and abruptly has emerged. The Ministry of Health has not updated casualty numbers since Sunday, when it said at least 224 people had been killed and nearly 2,000 injured, including women and children. Those figures are expected to grow in the coming days.

In interviews with more than 50 residents of Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Mashhad, Sanandaj, Amol, Ghazvin, Semnan, Karaj, Neishabour, and Tabriz, doctors, families and friends described the toll of the strikes. The New York Times also reviewed scores of videos, photos and testimonies documenting civilian casualties, injuries and the destruction of residential buildings.

The Israel Defense Forces have said the attacks on Iran are targeted assassinations of military commanders, government officials and nuclear scientists. But missiles and drones have also hit high-rise buildings and multistory apartment complexes where civilians also reside. Dr. Hossein Kermanpour, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said 90 percent of casualties were civilians, not military.

So, where is the NY Times in showing that Iran intentionally targets Israeli civilians via their missiles, drones, and their pet terrorist organizations

In Tehran, the frequency of the Israeli strikes has completely upended daily life. The constant thud of air defense systems, the loud boom of explosions and the wailing sirens of ambulances and fire trucks have replaced the sounds of a metropolis typically buzzing with traffic, street music and the Muslim call to prayer.

Does the Times understand that Iran is the world’s number one sponsor of terrorism? That they are trying to get nuclear weapons to use against Israel, and the Western world, including the US? Do they know a primary target would be NYC? I’ll just never understand what drives Democrat to take the side of Iran? Is their hatred of Jews that strong?

Crazy North Carolina Democrat Offers “Apology” Or Something

I’m seeing a lot of this from the leftist media in NC

“Apology!” From the article

Rep. Julie von Haefen (D-Wake) drew criticism for a post she made to social media that included a photo showing a depiction of a beheaded President Donald Trump with imagery of a guillotine.

The Wake County Democrat had posted the image in a video on her Instagram account, taken from the “No Kings” protest in Raleigh on June 14.

The image gained attention, and she later admitted to editing it out of the video. She has since made her official Instagram account “private.”

Additionally, von Haefen also deleted her X account, which may be a violation of state records and social media retention laws for elected officials.

I’ve been in many Twitter debates, regarding the slow posting of what she did, in comparison to if a Republican did it, and how the media would demand the Republican resign. Anyhow

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, von Haefen issued a statement on her official Facebook page, which did not include an apology but instead addressed the deletion of the “inappropriate” image.

“Yesterday, I posted a video on social media containing crowd photos from the No Kings protest in Raleigh. One of the images of a protestor holding a sign was inappropriate, and I later edited the video to remove the photo,” von Haefen wrote.

“Let me be clear: I condemn political violence in all forms,” wrote von Haefen. “My focus remains on bringing people together and fighting for the values that matter to North Carolinians. Like so many, I was horrified by the violence in Minnesota. There is no place for that kind of extremism in our democracy, no matter the target, no matter the party.”

So, not an apology. Not even a non-apology apology

Near the end of conclusion of business on the House floor on Tuesday, von Hafen was recognized to offer a short apology.

“This weekend, I shared a video montage on Facebook that included an image that was inappropriate. I realized that quickly and took the post down,” said von Haefen. “And I want to apologize today.

“I apologize to members of the House, to my constituents, and to any North Carolinian who is offended by what I posted. I’m sorry. Every one of us needs to take accountability for when we make mistakes. I am taking that accountability today, and I appreciate the opportunity to do so.”

So, you get the apology if you are offended. In other words, she is trying to save her position.

Border Sees 93% Decrease From May 2024 To May 2025

Border Patrol agents didn’t release a single migrant into the US last month — a staggering drop after the Biden administration allowed 62,000 illegal crossers in the country in May 2024, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Agents caught 8,725 migrants crossing illegally at the southern border last month.

That’s a 93% decrease from May 2024, when 117,905 were nabbed, according to internal data obtained by The Post.

And acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Pete Flores said it’s a result of the Trump administration’s tough border policies.

One of the most monumental policy changes made by Trump was the reversal of President Joe Biden’s catch-and-release scheme, which resulted in millions of illegal border jumpers being allowed into the US.

“Under the leadership of this administration, CBP has received historic support resulting in another 93% decrease in illegal crossings along the southwest border this month when compared with last year,” Flores said in a statement shared with The Post.

62K-62K=0. Good numbers. Which is what the number should be. Want to apply for (fake) asylum? Great, but, we’re going to hold you until your hearing. You won’t be released on your own for years. We’ll hold you for those years. So, do you still want to come? And this deters people from making the long trek from Central America, South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East. It deters them from sending their children on a dangerous trek, knowing that the Biden admin would then let the parent(s) would be let in, along with all the relatives.

Border Patrol agents are nearing their goal of gaining full “operational control” of the southern border with the massive drop in illegal crossings, National Border Patrol Council president Paul Perez told The Post last week.

“Under the Biden administration, our agents were pulled off the line. We were doing all the processing, detaining, transporting and essentially baby-sitting, the border was wide open,” Perez said.

“It was unsecured because we didn’t have enough agents on the line to actually protect and deter. So now we’ve got the complete opposite. All of our agents are actually patrolling the border for the first time in many, many years.“

A 93% drop in encounters is a massive number. The deterrent policies of the Trump admin have made this possible, and allows the Border Patrol to do their job, rather than being babysitters.

Surprise: Warmists Find New Way To Claim Hurricanes Will Get Bigger

You know this means that this season will probably be lighter than usual, right?

Scientists discover concerning new phenomenon that may impact the intensity of hurricanes: ‘Might get stronger’

Nature’s way of cooling off ocean waters in the wake of tropical cyclones is losing its effectiveness as the planet overheats. The shorter lifespans of these cold wakes mean future storms face less inhibition as water temperatures bounce back faster.

According to New Scientist, a team of researchers raised a serious concern tied to less effective “cold wakes.” The combination of cloud cover, evaporative cooling, and the stirring up of ocean waters in the wake of tropical cyclones can cool the ocean’s surface, inhibiting the growth of subsequent storms.

Research from the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory revealed in a recent study that these cold wakes aren’t lasting as long as they used to. The water temperature in these massive pools of relatively cool water is bouncing back more quickly.

It is just underway, and there is already a growing list of concerns about this year’s Atlantic hurricane season. A couple of weeks before the start of the season, the Federal Emergency Management Agency disclosed that it’s stepping away from its broader framework for disaster relief operations. Also, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued its forecast for an above-normal season for tropical activity in the Atlantic basin.

Combined with the news about cold wakes, the potential for serious issues seems high.

First off, if this is happening do know if this is different from previous Holocene warm periods? This could be the norm. Second, it is a period of high sunspots, which tends to reduce hurricane formation. Will the climahysterics change their tune if the season is light?

Curbing carbon pollution from dirty energy sources — the burning of which has a steroid-like effect that is fueling more frequent and severe extreme weather — can help cool our planet’s oceans. Engineers are finding ways to transform old dirty energy projects into clean energy production. Recently, engineers announced that they are on track to field-test new technology that could unlock a more affordable power source.

Becoming an advocate in the fight to protect the future of the planet requires exploring critical climate issues and sharing the information with family and friends. Supporting pro-climate action candidates and taking local action are other important ways you can help make a difference.

An evacuation has been issued to the people of Tehran by the IDF following multiple Iranian attacks on Tuesday night.

“Dear citizens, for your safety and health, we ask that you immediately leave the designated area in District 18 of Tehran,” the IDF Farsi spokesperson wrote on X/Twitter.

The military later announced it had begun conducting strikes in the area.

Well, people had already been fleeing

Iran is preparing to attack American bases in the Middle East if the United States joins Israel’s war, American officials who have reviewed intelligence reports told the New York Times on Tuesday.

In the days since Operation Rising Lion began, over 40,000 American troops have been put on high alert at bases throughout the region, including the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

Fears of a wider war are growing among American officials as Israel presses the White House to intervene in its conflict with Iran. “If the United States joins the Israeli campaign and strikes Fordo, a key Iranian nuclear facility, the Iranian-backed Houthi militia will almost certainly resume striking ships in the Red Sea,” officials told the Times.

Yeah, well, again, I think that if Trump is forced to attack Iran it will be with overwhelming force, not the piecemeal “future nation-building” type. He’ll want their military destroyed immediately, and their nuclear and other special weapons programs annihilated, and not get bogged down.

Climate “Scientists” Say Human Cause Doom-Warming Started Earlier Than Thought

The findings, detailed in a paper published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, raise the likelihood that humanity has been remaking the planet’s climate in a detectable way for longer than previously believed—and highlight the importance of tracking changes in the upper atmosphere.

Scientists had begun to record surface temperature observations by the mid-19th century. The start date for a detectable human signal in surface temperatures has generally been thought to be in the early-to-mid-20th century, though other parts of the climate system showed signs of change at different times.

Really? I’ve almost never seen the cult say it started in the early to mid 20th Century. Are they just attempting to re-write this for some nefarious purpose?

The signal of climate change was detectable in the 19th-century atmosphere after just a 10 parts per million increase in carbon dioxide concentrations in the 40 years between 1860 and 1899. For comparison, planet-warming carbon dioxide levels skyrocketed by about 50 parts per million between 2000 and 2025, Santer said.

Do they have actual measurements of this? The paper doesn’t make that clear. And, how do they know, how do they prove, that it was caused by Mankind, instead of just changes from a Holocene cool period to a warm period?

Andrea Steiner, a climate scientist at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change at the University of Graz in Austria, told CNN the study shows human-caused climate change can be detected earlier in the atmosphere than at the surface.

And they were able to gather the actual CO2 readings from the atmosphere from the earlier time frame how? Sounds like BS to me.

These factors are contributing to a dramatic increase in homelessness in Vermont, which has the second highest rate of homelessness in the country. The increase has forced some municipalities to confront homelessness, which is new for some towns.

Vermont passes law to boost housing access for migrants

On Friday, Migrant Justice hosted a celebration on the statehouse lawn in honor of Gov. Phil Scott signing off on S. 127. The bill requires landlords to accept one of the following:

  • An original or copy of an unexpired government-issued ID
  • An individual tax identification number
  • A Social Security number

Before this law passed, Olga Cruz, an immigrant from Mexico, said immigrants in her community often faced discrimination because they did not have a Social Security number.

How about all those citizens in Vermont? Any concern for them?

As immigrants face fear and turmoil nationwide, Cruz said this is a needed win for her community, but that the work is not done.

“This fear isn’t going to stop us, you know, we’re not going to let the fear and uncertainty keep us from fighting for what’s right and demanding our human rights,” she said.

The Trump admin should also prioritize all these community activists who are unlawfully present in the U.S. Let them take their little brand of activism back to their home country. But, there is one place they can be housed

The federal government has signed a deal with the private prison firm CoreCivic Corp. to reopen a 1,033-bed prison in Leavenworth as part of a surge of contracts U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has issued without seeking competitive bids.

Bank Has Plan To Unlock Trillions In Climate (scam) Funding

Bank unveils green loans plan to unlock trillions for climate finance

An innovative plan to use public money to back renewable energy loans in the developing world could liberate cash from the private sector for urgently needed climate finance.

Avinash Persaud, a special adviser on climate change to the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), who developed the proposals, believes the plan could drive tens of billions of new investment in the fledgling green economy in poorer countries within a few years, and could provide the bulk of the $1.3tn in annual climate finance promised to the developing world by 2035.

“This could be an engine for green growth, and produce the trillions needed for climate finance in the future,” he told the Guardian. “It could be a transformation.”

His ideas will be set out in detail at a UN meeting in Germany this week, kicking off negotiations for the Cop30 climate summit that will take place in Brazil this November against a worrying global background for the discussions.

Ah. So, they plan on using Other People’s money, ie, taxpayer money taken without consent by Warmist governments, to be spent elsewhere instead of for the people of those countries.

The proposals by Persaud and others to buy up loans to renewable energy projects in the developing world could allow billions of dollars of private sector cash to flood the sector, in a big boost to global climate finance.

The plan, which is being pioneered by the IADB, would involve getting taxpayer-funded development banks to buy existing loans to green projects in poor countries, which would free up investment from private sector lenders.

Such loans are relatively low risk because they are already performing – but because they are in developing countries, with credit ratings lower than those of rich states – mainstream private sector investors such as pension funds are often forbidden from touching them because of their strict rules on credit worthiness.

But if those loans are backed instead by development banks, which can provide guarantees against default, and which themselves have impeccable credit ratings, the “repackaged” loan finance can meet private sector criteria.

Hmms, sounds like a great way to spread money around as it is siphoned off, and the taxpayers will have no say in this.
