Dr. Shackelford has his interview with Roy Hallums daughter, Carrie Hallums Cooper, up at The Jawa Report.
American Roy Hallums was abducted from his temporary Baghdad home on November 1st, 2004. He was in Iraq as a civilian contractor working on rebuilding efforts. His mission had everything to do with helping the Iraqi people rebuild their country after decades of war, mismanagement, and terror under the Saddam Hussein regime.
Please go over and read, and, if possible, make a donation to the Free Roy Foundation.

Just want to remind everyone who pops in to my little corner of the blogtropolis that I have changed the domain name to www.thepiratescove.us. The old names will still work, though. However, all pirate thongs reside at the new address. And they are some wonder pirate thongs. A shiny piece of gold pirate thong for all those who change to the new address.
I would also like to thank N.Z. Bear for all the help and patience he has given me through the domain name change. Thanks, NZ! Everyone should do like I am going to do, and buy something from Bears shop, maybe through him some cash, considering all that he has done for the Isle of Blog.
Finally, to those asswipes who were sending me virus laden email today, which failed, thanks to MacAfee, go here. (probably not work safe)

Sure seems like it.
In a joint statement, President Jacques Chirac and Germany’s Gerhard Schroeder said the EU text, which faces growing opposition in France, marks a "major step" in Europe’s efforts to come together politically.
The two leaders, who have long worked closely together, "reaffirmed their conviction that implementation of the constitutional treaty will be an important step to confirm Europe’s weight on the international scene and to reinforce its capacity to act in the service of peace and security."
First, they wouldn’t know security unless it bit them in the ass. Which, based on the growing Islamic population, may very well do just that. 2nd:
France and Germany portray themselves as the motors of European integration. But both are also plagued with high unemployment and slow economic growth — factors that French opponents of the treaty have capitalized on to shout down the text.
Let’s not sugar coat this. From a post of mine on March 6th:
Germany has an unemployment rate of 12.6%, and France’s crept up to 10%. Compare that to the US rate of 5.4%. And with the economic growth rate at an estimated 1% and 1.8% for Germany and France, respectively, neither country is expecting their jobs situation to improve. Compare that to an estimated 3.9% growth rate for the United States. I know where I want to live. Add that the EU intentionally limits economic growth to level the European playing field, and the prospects look poor.
Gee, you would think CNN could have added how bad it is in Germany and France.

Rusty at the Jawa Report has an interesting article on Syria and the coming transition to democracy. Seems as if Bush’s "unlitateral" doctrines to instill democracy around the world are working, much to the seetherama of the Leftists. Check out the comments section. Loons gone wild.

It’s that time again. Day 86 since Kerry promised to sign his 180’s.
John Kerry has flip flopped multiple times on releasing his 180’s. See this previous post for the back and forth waffleing by the big weenie. He has stated unequivically that he will sign his Form 180 without conditions. Lets help him with this. It’s been 86 days since he said he would sign his 180’s. Time for him to keep his word for once.
The furor over military credentials hasn’t ended with the campaign. Kerry pledged to sign Form 180, releasing all of his military records, but challenged his critics, including Bush, to do the same.
”I want them to sign it, I want [swift boat veterans] John O’Neill, Roy Hoffmann, and what’s their names, the guys on the other boat," Kerry said. ”I want their records out there. They have made specific allegations about my record, I know things about their records, I want them out there. I’m willing to sign it, to put all my records out there. I’m willing to sign it, but I want them to sign it, too."
Kerry later confirmed that his decision to sign the form is not conditional on any others signing, but he expressed lingering bitterness over double standards on military service.
The folks at Conservative Friends have recommended a Tuesday blogburst. I have sent mine in. Send yours in by going here for the Form 180. Then, email the link to Kerry at this address. Cass at Villainous Company has an excellent insert for the email:
On the April 18th, 2004 taping of Meet the Press you promised to make all your records public but then reneged. In January of 2005, you again appeared on Meet the Press and promised to sign Form 180. We would like you to keep your word – please sign Form 180 immediately and release the missing thirty-one pages of medical records, your DD Form 256N, and any other military records still unreleased.
Some have asked why this matters. It is called accountability. The Left was all up in arms about President Bush signing his, yet Kerry was not held to the same standard. Time to hold him to his word.
Cao’s Blog is hosting the Blogburst. Here is the link to Cao’s 4/26 post. Head over, and let her know if you want to be included. Spread the word. Others blogging:
