Well, not truly. I’m not going that far. But, after a conversation with JulieB, I thought it was about time to do some alteration, waiting for the movie to come out. Still cannot get that pesky header color to mix perfectly. Oh, well.
Anyone else out there as psyched for “The Revenge of the Sith” as me? As I discussed with JulieB, I refuse to look at any of the trailers, read anything about it, look at the promo material, read the book. etc. Nada. I wanted the full “WOW!” experience.

However, I’ll throw this one in.
Also, if any other Typepad users out there want to get their own unique domain name, I am offering my services to help you.

Vince Aut Morire turned the big One today. Everyone go there and give him your best wishes. No trolls!
I was going to give him the gift on the left, but, Merry might hurt me. So, I’ll give him the bunny on the right for target practice.

Now that the House Republican Critters have scrapped the new rules, you know, the ones that state that the accused is innocent until proven guilty, allowed council, allow the complaint to be dismissed if there is no verdict, and several other of those pesky Constitutional guaruntees, it seems that there is an ethics war brewing, with the GOP, hopefully, leading the way.
Republican lawmakers who met yesterday to discuss a proposal by Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) to reverse changes to House ethics rules said it is inevitable that their colleagues will file complaints against Democrats once the ethics panel is again operational.
Republicans said that not one of their colleagues has volunteered to file a complaint against a Democrat but that they have no doubt that will in fact happen.
All I have to say is that they better get off their azzes and serve the heads of many a Democrat on a platter to the Ethics Committee, particularly after the way the Dems have attacked Tom Delay and other Republicans. Fight fire with fire, for a change. Give the Dems a taste of thei own medicine.

I’ve discussed Larry Donell Green a bit. He is the man who was pronounced dead, and then someone realized at the morgue that he, well, wasn’t. A bit of an update. He is slowly making a recovery, however:
"He can’t talk. He can’t walk. He can only signify by blinking his eyes. Sometimes, he may move his hand," Alston (Green’s father) said.
Doctors tell the family they cannot be certain whether Green will ever speak or walk again. Family members said for now, they will continue spending every day with him in the rehab center.
It really is a crying shame. This is one of those instances where I hope the family sues some people in a big way. Sure isn’t frivilous.

Your Linguistic Profile:
|
55% General American English |
30% Yankee |
15% Dixie |
0% Midwestern |
0% Upper Midwestern |
Actually, that is pretty close. I know so many damnyankees down here, that it is hard to keep any sort of Southern in my English. Remember, English is always capitalized.
I do have to give a hat tip to
Baboon Pirates, who brought me to that website. The "how’s your taste in music" test wasn’t really that close, since I mostly listen to Classic Rock, Metal, and country, with a smattering of Beach Music, Buffet (he is in his own category), and some Classical.
BTW, I am thinking of doing a meme "name your top 5 favorite groups and your favorite album from that group." Nothing truly exciting, but it is a good way to see what folks in the Sea of Blog like. Anyone interested?
Woops, it is Baboon Pirates, not Baboon Monkeys. Told y’all I was really tired last night.

Must quote the Pirate’s Cove! Shocking stuff. A shiny pirate thong for all who do.
You may be aware of the letter that Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert released, supposedly as sent to Nancy Pelosi. However, I have gotten a hold of the individual copy that was hand delivered to her, which differs just a bit.
