Happy Sunday! Another gorgeous day in the neighborhood, a great day to be an American. The election is almost here. Finally. Thank God. Then we’re almost ready to get the campaign going for the 2014 midterms!

Just imagine yourself in a time when George Bush was president. After a heartfelt meeting with Cindy Sheehan, Cindy decided to become a liberal darling by accusing Bush of all sorts of things, including murdering her son. The majority of the Credentialed Media covered Sheehan on a daily basis, often with lead stories. Flash forward to late 2012, and the majority of the CM can barely be bothered to even mention what happened in Benghazi, much less investigate. And, when they do mention the scandal, it is typically acting as an arm of Obama’s Organizing for America. Few are bothering to wonder what the parents think
(The Blaze) The families of the four Americans killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi on Sept. 11 continue to grieve, however, they are also continuing to speak out.
A father and a mother used the word “murder†when discussing the Obama administration’s response to the attack while an older brother of one of the victims is not questioning the decisions made in the heat of battle, UT San Diego reports.
Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, a State Department computer wiz killed in the assault, told the paper that she blames President Barack Obama for the death of her son.
“I believe that Obama murdered my son,†she told UT San Diego from the living room of her Clairemont home. “I firmly believe this.â€
Back in the day, we were told that this was “absolute moral authority.” Of course, that’s when someone was speaking out against a Republican. Of course, when referring to Sheehan, that was before she started running to unseat Nancy Pelosi, and being arrested while protesting at the White House, saying “arrest the war criminal“, in which she was referring to Obama.
Did Obama “murder” those men? That’s the $25k question, which would be served if it were asked as “did he leave them there to die by failing to allow US forces to be sent to rescue them?” This whole Nixonian coverup is the making of Obama and the White House. Instead of coming clean and saying “yes, it was a terrorist attack” they decided to go with the notion that this was a spontaneous film review, which included RPGs and tons of professionally made al Qaeda flags and headbands. This continued through Obama’s speech to the United Nations. Then came the blamestorming of the intelligence community, the CIA, State. He didn’t bother convening the appropriate security groups, such as the National Security Council.
As they say in Washington, it’s not the action, it’s the coverup. And since Team Obama decided to go with stonewalling and misdirection, a few media outlets investigated, and we learned that the Americans in Benghazi were refused more security, were told to stop asking for more security, and were left to die. If Team Obama had taken decisive action to rescue them, they would be leaking this news left and right to cover Obama with glory. They aren’t.
And shame on most of the press for failing to investigate. The purpose of specifically mentioning them in the 1st Amendment was not so that they can go and harass some small business owner engaged in unsavory business practices, it was to make sure that the press could monitor, cover, investigate, and, if necessary, expose Government without fear of reprisal. The Framers never intended for the majority of the press to be the propaganda arm of Government and one political group.

After the historic beatdown the GOP laid on the Nancy Pelosi led House, she was predicting that the Democrats would retake the House. Not going to happen by a long shot
(Washington Post) The Fix now projects that the 2012 race for the House is likely to be close to a draw, and there is even a fair chance that Republicans will add to their biggest majority in six decades on Tuesday.
In fact, right now, The Fix projects that Republicans have 228 seats either solidly in their favor or leaning toward them, while Democrats have 184. Another 23 seats are tossups.
If Republicans can win 14 of those 23 tossup races, they would keep their majority exactly as it is. If they win more than that, they would actually gain seats.
Part of this is due to redistricting. Hey, elections have consequences. In my area, the 13th district had been in the hands of Dems and Brad Miller for a long time, but it is sure to go GOP, per the article.

Well, yeah, it is kinda like racism. Liberals are constantly yammering on about it, ascribing it to everything, but are still rather unsure of the concept, and are often the worst offenders. Of course, that’s not what Ahmed Shihab-Eldin at the HuffPo means
Climate change is kind of like racism. Nobody really wants to talk about it, but it is as critical as it is constructive that we have that conversation now. Whether politicians, pundits or polls bring it up or not, like racism, we all know climate change is real. We all know it threatens our peace, security and the very unity of these United States of America.
Good grief. Warmists never stop talking about it, but they themselves refuse to actually make the changes in their own lives to Do Something about it. Right now, many, many Warmists in the Northeast are experiencing long days of Sandy enforced Earth Hours, and aren’t markedly enjoying it. In fact, many are pitching hissy fits as they are forced to live pre-electric lives.
Warmists should be reveling in the reduced CO2 output and doing their part to stop the planet from boiling as they sit in the dark (hey, Warmists, candles are bad for climate change!), can’t waste precious water while they are unable to flush the toilet and take showers, have little petrol to drive around, and aren’t seeing electricity disappear as “vampire electricity”. Where’s the love from Warmists for living the outcome of what their hotcoldwetdry legislation would bring about?
Still, perhaps because we need it, we are gifted sharp reminders.
“My party is full of racists,” Colin Powell’s former chief of staff, Retired Army Col. Lawrence Wilkerson reminded us just the other day, “the real reason a considerable portion of my party wants President Obama out of the White House has nothing to do with the content of his character… and everything to do with the color of his skin, and that’s despicable.”
What may be more despicable than racism in this context is denying its existence. Just like those who deny our climate is changing, and that we, with our drills and in our drivers seats, are directly contributing to the change.
First, Colin Powell has become a hysterical fool. Second, when did “drills” become bad for Hotcoldwetdy? Is this fool referring to the type that is a tool? That’s a new one to add to the list. Anyhow, if climate change is like racism, and the drivers seat is bad, can we get all you Warmists to pledge to never take fossil fueled travel from now on?
When it comes to climate change, like Romney, we could all use some humility and a willingness to learn more about the challenges we face. After all, we share this planet, and its natural resources with many species. Climate change does not just alter the patterns of diseases in humans, it has the power to disrupt the delicate balance of our ecosystem, which we are all mutually dependent on for survival.
No, what Warmists need to do is to move away from their 20 year notion of spreading awareness, and show us the way by changing their own lives. Because the rest of us who live in Reality Land refuse to do so, nor let you wackjobs pass legislation, because the climate is always changing. Right now the Earth is in a long term warm period, which followed a cool period, with a period that was warmer than today before that, then a cool period, then a much warmer period, and so forth. During this warm period we’ve seen short term climates occur: hotter than today in the 30’s, cool from the 40’s-70’s, a warm period from 1980-1997, then a stagnant period since. Anecdotal evidence from a storm like Sandy is not scientific proof that Mankind is changing the climate.
This sounds more like something you’d hear from a candidate running against a long term third world dictator. Or from the guy (Henrique Capriles) who ran against Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, not from a sitting US president who acts more like Hugo Chavez (though I’m not sure Chavez spends as much time playing golf and partying with celebrities)
(Breitbart) As is often the case when he goes off-teleprompter, at a campaign stop in Ohio today, Obama revealed a side of himself we haven’t seen since Hurricane Sandy gave him the opportunity to play The American President for a few days. The old Divider-In-Chief returned with a vengeance when in the middle of an attack on Mitt Romney he told a crowd at a campaign rally to stop booing and, ” Vote! Voting’s the best revenge!”
Lest one (and I’m talking about Liberals) thinks that John Nolte at Breitbart is making it, there is video available at The Washington Post.
That’s the best he can do? “Voting is the best revenge� And against whom should voters seek “revenge†— other Americans? A candidate who has the support of about half the electorate? It is mind-boggling, really, that this sort of snide, negative motivation is what President Obama has saved up for his final appeal.
Actually, it’s not particularly mind-boggling, it is almost what one would expect from a sitting POTUS who has spent the majority of the time launching small ball attacks (Romnesia, Big Bird, binders, lies about Bain Capital) while refusing to lay out an agenda till after the final debate, an agenda that is much the same as his agenda for his first 4 years, which have brought on malaise and stagnation. And a president who is schooled in the devise teachings of Saul Alinsky who spent decades listening to “pastors” who preach grievance and divisiveness.
(The Jawa Report) It’s pretty sad when a Presidential candidate, rather than earn votes based on accomplishments and issues, has to appeal for vengeance against a political opponent. Or maybe in Obama’s narcissistic mind, he is in an unjust war fighting for his very existence.
Hey, remember when Obama was calling for a “new era of civility”? And “promise” with an expiration date. Well, Romney had offer some comments in return

Obama asks people to vote to turn the country into Greece. Or Venezuela.

(Energy Live News) Could you name a renewable energy source? It sounds like the easiest pub quiz question – but according to new research, more than half of Americans can’t even manage to name one.
On top of that, a third of Americans couldn’t say what a fossil fuel is, according to the new infographic from Washington DC-based advisors Cassidy & Associates.
