Prince William Says We Have Till 2030 To Avoid Climate Doom

Funny how the doom dates keep moving

Prince William warns ‘inch-by-inch’ action is not enough to stop climate change

Prince William has issued a dramatic plea for action to tackle climate change to be sped up before it is too late.

Current measures are proceeding at a snail’s pace “inch by inch” and are nowhere near enough to address the problem, he said.

The future king argues that the “devastation” caused by summer wildfires in Britain and worldwide underlines the need for greater urgency in combatting global warming.

Writing exclusively for The Independent, the Prince of Wales said his Earthshot Prize competition to find new ways to repair the planet shows that technological solutions can be found.

He denies he is displaying “blind hope” that it is not too late to deal with environmental crises like climate change.

Answers have been found, he said, but they are either not being used, or not being used fast enough to meet the emergency.

He said action must be stepped up in what is left of this decade, effectively setting a deadline of 2030, less than four years from now.

Huh. Also Prince William

(UK Daily Mail) The Prince of Wales has given an impassioned speech talking of the ‘privilege’ he feels at representing his father on the global stage for the first time, but warning the world is ‘edging dangerously close’ to disaster.

William, 43, is representing King Charles at the COP30 United Nations Climate Summit in Belém, the gateway to Brazil’s Amazon rainforest.

Speaking at the World Leaders Summit in a landmark address, the heir to the throne – who flew to the event with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer following his Earthshot Prize awards in Rio de Janeiro last night – spoke from the heart about his determination to continue his father’s work on green issues and take them forwards.

Huh

That’s a nice government jet they took, eh?

What’s the carbon footprint, Will?

Surprise: Man Who Murdered Woman At Panera Bread Was Illegally In US

Guess who let him in?

Immigration officials say man who stalked, executed woman at Panera Bread was in the country illegally

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Friday the man who investigators say stalked a woman for months before executing her in a Panera Bread parking lot in Sacramento this week was in the country illegally.

The victim was 38-year-old Shalini Thakur and her mother has said authorities failed to protect her.

A spokesperson for DHS said Thakur’s killer, 22-year-old Rohit Rohit, was from India and entered the United States through Arizona in 2023. He was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol and released by the Biden administration, according to the spokesperson. The exact details around his immigration status were not immediately clear as of Friday.

Federal court records online showed his case was pending. The records showed no appeal had been received for his case and there were no hearings scheduled.

Another winner let in by the Biden regime

Rohit killed himself amid a standoff with police on Highway 50 after the shooting. The scene left traffic at a standstill for hours.

“This illegal alien from India harassed, stalked, and then killed a 38-year-old woman in California, and then took his own life when police caught up to him,” said a DHS spokesperson. “This tragedy would have been completely avoided if it weren’t for the Biden Administration RELEASING this killer into our country. Sanctuary politicians must put an end to reckless policies that play Russian roulette with American lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family.”

Obviously, Democrats are upset

“Trying to turn a horrific act of stalking and domestic violence into an indictment of California’s sanctuary policies is not supported by the evidence and distracts from the real issues this case raises — law enforcement preventing stalking and domestic violence, enforcing restraining orders, and keeping victims safe,” said Diana Crofts-Pelayo, a spokesperson for Gov. Newsom’s office.

Once you trot out “distraction from” you know that the person has lost. Also, California law enforcement failed to prevent the stalking, enforcing restraining orders, and keeping Thakur alive.

Weird: Kamala Harris Has Trespasser Removed From Gated, Fenced Malibu Home

Wait, I thought no one was illegal on stolen land? Because Malibu once belonged to The Chumash Tribe

Police rush to Kamala Harris’ $8M Malibu mansion over report of mystery woman on property

Police were called to Kamala Harris’ $8 million Malibu mansion after a mystery woman showed up at the property twice and “illegally entered,” according to authorities and the former vice president’s team.

Officers from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene after receiving a call about the unidentified woman outside home of Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff around 10:30 p.m. Friday, the sheriff’s department said.

The woman had gotten dropped off by an Uber and contacted security at the pricey pad, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department said.

After being told she couldn’t stay, the woman left but returned again, leading to a call to police about a possible trespasser.

Police took a report at the scene, but the woman was not arrested or cited. The incident was first reported by TMZ.

That’s weird: why was she removed? Are the Dem Elites saying that it’s OK for illegals from around the world to come willy nilly into the U.S., but, it’s not OK for people to randomly go onto the property of Elites? That it’s OK for La Policia to go run the person off Harris’ property but not come and detain illegals and deport them?

“Last night, security personnel stopped an individual who illegally entered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff’s property before the individual reached the home,” spokesperson Eduardo Negrón said, according to reports.

“Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly.”

The same police Kamala wanted to defund, and used her influence to raise money to spring people from jail who assaulted police?

Washington Post Notices Trump Is Having Trouble With The Houthis

Obviously, Trump shouldn’t have started none with Iran and their proxies, because the Houthis were totally peaceful beforehand

As Iran proxies activate in Yemen and Iraq, Trump’s Mideast morass deepens

As the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran opened with the killing of the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Donald Trump said the bombing would continue “throughout the week, or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”

More than six months later, turmoil in the Middle East is only growing, while Trump seems to have no path out of the quagmire.

As of Friday, two of the most important corridors for global energy shipments — the Strait of Hormuz, gateway to the Persian Gulf, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, at the mouth of the Red Sea — were largely closed, respectively under control of the Iranian regime and the Houthis, Iran’s proxy in Yemen.

Also on Friday, Iraqi militants allied with Iran struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline, through which the Saudis had been rerouting oil to bypass the blocked Strait of Hormuz.

Obviously, this is All Trump’s Fault

The conflict in Yemen is an example of how the situation in the region has deteriorated since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

In February, Yemen’s long civil war was on pause, thanks to a tenuous but still-intact U.N brokered ceasefire. Fighting has now roared back to life.

A Yemeni official who is part of the internationally recognized, Saudi-backed coalition government said there is desire for the Trump administration to intervene militarily against the Houthis, as it did in 2025.

There’s no mention of Iran fomenting strife in the Middle East for 40 years. No mention of the rise of the Houthis, and Iranian proxy, in 2016 when Obama was president (and Biden VP), and him bombing the shit out of them. Or Iran enabling proxies in Iraq even back during the late Bush 43 years? And this all happening while Biden was president? It’s like those years do not exist to the leftard media.

BTW, what kinds of groups are they? What are they fighting for? Who are they fighting for?

NY Times Seems Upset That Republicans Are Branding Democrats As Communists

I mean, the Fish Wrap has seen the huge number of Democrats running as “Democratic Socialists Of America”, right? That the mayor of the city the Times is in claims to be a DSA member? That AOC has long branded herself as a Socialist?

Republicans, Facing Midterm Peril, Try to Brand Democrats as Communists

One by one, Republican speakers at President Trump’s midterm convention in Dallas this week turned to a far-fetched argument with echoes of the Cold War.

Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana claimed, “Next year the communists will be in Congress — that’s what’s so frightening.” Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the No. 2 House Republican, said implausibly that there had been a “Bolshevik Revolution in the Democrat Party.”

And when Mr. Trump, the ringleader of this new Red Scare, took the stage, he returned — again and again and again — to baseless claims that Democrats were running as communists in the midterms.

“It’s going to be a communist country if they win,” he predicted, one of at least 60 times a speaker at the convention mentioned communism or communists.

It’s baseless, you guys! In practice, what’s the difference between Communism and Socialism? From what we’ve seen in history, the only difference is allowing voting. That’s about it. Granted, it would be better if Republicans called them Socialists, it would have the same impact. The communism tag might have some impact with Boomers and even older Gen X, but, not with the younger folks.

Although this year’s Democratic primary season brought a surge of left-wing momentum, and a handful of victories by democratic socialists running for Congress in ColoradoMichiganNew YorkPennsylvania and Florida, no credible midterm candidate identifies as a communist. And there is little momentum behind any communist movement in U.S. politics at the federal level.

LOL, this is where the Fish Wrap wants to go, semantics.

“Stalin. Mao. Castro. Democrats,” the Republican National Committee wrote on social media last month. “Different leaders, same goal.”

Whether the attacks make a difference in the midterms is still far from clear. Some Democrats have expressed worry that the rise of democratic socialism in their party could play into Republican efforts to cast them as extremists and that constant mentions of communism could blur the lines for some voters. At the same time, Mr. Trump’s overheated language could weaken the force of the argument.

Yeah, because discussing how they want to get rid of all cops and prisons and tax everyone into oblivion isn’t extremist or something.

In some ways, far-left leaders have fed the argument. In 2020, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a leader of the progressive movement and a self-described democratic socialist, praised elements of the Communist Cuban revolution. And Darializa Avila Chevalier, a democratic socialist who unseated a Democratic congressman in a New York primary in June, once maintained a social-media account that circulated a post suggesting that public libraries should carry more Marxist literature.

Huh. Anyhow, it is a long, long article trying to defend Democrats. Remember, the Credentialed Media is totally not biased.

Most Americans have unfavorable views of socialism, according to polls. Communism polls much worse. And even as Mr. Trump mislabels Democrats as communists, some Democrats have jokingly blurred the lines themselves, referring to the area of New York City where one democratic socialist House candidate won as the “Commie Corridor.”

Remember, the NY Times and all their left wing Comrades try and brand Republicans as White Supremacists. Even when they are black or Asian. Even squishy ones like George W Bush and Mitt Romney.

Oh Noes, Global Boiling Is Coming For Your Fish Fry

It’s always something with these people, always some sort of Doom

When Climate Change Comes for the Fish Fry

Each week across Wisconsin, diners crowd into supper clubs, VFW halls, and corner taverns for a ritual that has endured for generations: the Friday night fish fry. Almost half of Wisconsinites say they sit down to a fish fry at least once a month. But increasingly, what’s on the plate isn’t local. As warming lakes, invasive species, and disrupted spawning cycles threaten native fish populations, the tradition faces an uncertain future. What happens when a cherished custom must adapt to a changing ecosystem?

In this project, journalist Jeff Oloizia follows the journey from hook to fryer, shadowing conservation teams, consulting scientists, and sharing tables with chefs, anglers, and historians. Through data, storytelling, and on-the-ground reporting, he explores a quieter climate crisis: the erosion of cultural traditions through ecological loss, and what’s at stake when the natural world stops cooperating with the stories we tell about who we are.

Oh, good, storytelling! A slight increase in global temperatures is not big deal, but, the invasive species are. Which is nothing to do with ‘climate change’, natural, anthropogenic, or a combo. And, guess what? Those fish can be fried, too.

Anyhow, that blurb leads to the full story which was in Madison Magazine back in mid-August, starting with a story on going on a fishing trip

The reel screamed. I leaned back and cranked against it, slow and steady, for what felt like hours. When I finally hauled the fish over the rail?—?a gleaming king salmon, as long as a toddler?—?I felt a rush of triumph that quickly gave way to something else. Clinging to the fish’s belly was a slick, black parasite, writhing like something cursed.

“What the hell is that?” I asked our guide.

“Lamprey,” he said, peeling it off to reveal a funnel of razor-sharp teeth like you’d see in the sandworms of “Dune.”

Sea lampreys aren’t new to these waters; they arrived in the early 1900s, slipped in through human-made canals, and never left. They latch onto fish, boring into flesh to feed on tissue and blood. A single adult can kill up to 40 pounds of fish in its lifetime. For decades, scientists kept them largely in check with lampricide. But warming waters and shifting lake conditions have complicated those efforts, helping the parasites spread once again.

So, this has nothing to do with a warming world of your fault

The lamprey is only part of the story. Across the Great Lakes, climate change is reshaping the rhythms that native fish have followed for centuries. Warmer waters and early thaws are scrambling the spawning calendars of walleye, yellow perch and whitefish. Migrations are mistimed. Eggs hatch too early or fail to hatch altogether. The native fish species that fed generations of Wisconsinites?—?at church suppers, family cookouts and Friday night fish fries?—?are vanishing from local waters.

Bummer: Trump Plan To Not Count Aliens Could Strip House Seats From Certain States

It’s a plan, but, I’m not sure if it will survive judicial review all the way up to the Supreme Court

Trump Census Plan Could Strip House Seats From States With Large Immigrant Populations

The Trump administration is moving to change who counts in the 2030 census, proposing to exclude millions of noncitizens from the population totals used to divide House seats among the states. The shift could cost states with large immigrant populations representation in Congress and Electoral College votes.

Under a Census Bureau rule proposed Thursday, U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, commonly known as green card holders, would count toward congressional apportionment. Other foreign citizens would not, including undocumented immigrants and many people legally living in the United States under temporary or less permanent immigration status.

The plan goes further than excluding undocumented immigrants. Some people who have legally lived and worked in the United States for years could also be left out of the population used to determine how much representation their state receives in Congress. (snip)

States with large immigrant populations could see the biggest effects. A 2020 Pew Research Center analysis found that excluding undocumented immigrants alone could have left California, Florida and Texas with one fewer House seat each than they would have received if those residents were included. The new proposal would reach a broader group because some legally present immigrants could also be left out.

This plan is, obviously, driving the Libs nuts, and, really, should non-citizens be counted in the census? I guess we could allow permanent residents (should there be such a thing?), and, obviously, Native Americans who do not consider themselves Americans should still be counted. But, the Constitution kinda says everyone in the US needs to be counted, including legal and illegal aliens.

The 14th Amendment requires House seats to be apportioned among the states according to the “whole number of persons in each State.” Previous challenges to efforts to exclude noncitizens have focused on whether the government can remove residents from the apportionment population based on immigration status.

The administration is relying on a different reading of residency, pointing to the historical meaning of “usual residence” and arguing that the concept can include allegiance or a lasting connection to a state.

Interesting. Will it work? It would also require that a Republican win the White House in 2028, because a Democrat would kill this rule in a heartbeat.
