Rand Paul Looks To Hold Vote Finding Fauci In Contempt

Whelp, good luck with this. There’s a reason I put it that way

Sen. Rand Paul: Congress Will Vote on Holding Fauci in Contempt After He Invoked Fifth Amendment Over 100 Times

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said there will be a panel vote to hold Anthony Fauci in contempt after the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) refused to answer any question during his testimony on Wednesday, instead repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment.

“That’s a vote that will happen in committee next week. It will be in contempt of Congress,” Paul told reporters after the hearing, which featured Fauci refusing to answer one question from lawmakers.

“We believe that with his… immunity from criminal liability, that he didn’t need to hide behind the Fifth Amendment and that maybe the Fifth Amendment doesn’t attach when you have a pardon in place,” Paul explained, noting it will be a legal question.

“That’ll be a legal question, but the question on contempt will be voted on, and then there’s a question of whether or not the Department of Justice will take that up,” he added.

There are 8 Republicans on the committee, 7 Democrats. None of the Republicans are the Squishes, so, Paul can probably get the panel vote to hold Fauci in contempt, possibly with John Fetterman voting in favor. The full Senate, though? Too many Squishes. Thom Tillis, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski will surely vote against it, just because they are Squishes. Again, Fetterman will possibly join Republicans.

Other lawmakers on the committee also pointed out that Fauci, whom former President Joe Biden pardoned, had nothing to hide.

“Let’s just get one thing straight: You don’t have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you’ve been pardoned, as you very well know, as the Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said. “Brown vs. Walker, 1896. When he has been pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege. You know that, your lawyers sitting behind you now shifting nervously in their chairs, they know it.”

Let’s be honest: even if he is found in contempt by the Senate, nothing will happen. Nothing. We’re over six years beyond the visible start of COVID, and, who has been held liable? Who has been fired? Lost their pension?

(AP) A former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci was indicted on federal charges alleging he conspired to hide his communications related to COVID-19 research as the pandemic raged across the country, the Justice Department said Tuesday.

Dr. David Morens, 78, is accused of using his private email account to intentionally circumvent public records laws while employed at the National Institutes of Health. The Justice Department alleges that he concealed or destroyed records of discussions related to COVID-19 research grants, including an effort to revive a controversial coronavirus grant.

Just indicted. Most of the Science!!!! folks, Credentialed Media, and politicians suffered no repercussions for their COVID insanity. Did the people of Michigan boot Gretchen Whitmer for things like extreme lockdowns, even telling stores they can’t sell seeds for the garden, all while her husband tried to get their boat of of drydock? No. She won re-election. Same with most of the others with strict lockdowns, who also seemed to be marching in the streets in large groups during the George Floyd madness. Around the world few politicians paid the price. Mostly just Trump in 2020 and Jacinda Arden, PM of New Zealand, who was forced out in 2023.

(Fox News) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is calling for Anthony Fauci to be held in contempt, prosecuted for perjury and sent to jail after the former White House COVID-19 advisor pleaded his Fifth Amendment right more than 100 times during a Senate hearing Wednesday.

“Years from now, they’ll look back and say, ‘What collective madness overtook this country?’” Cruz told Fox News Digital.

“I think Anthony Fauci has had contempt for Congress and contempt for the American people for decades,” he said. “His diary shows that he deliberately lied to the American people over and over and over again.”

It’s 2026. Nothing will happen. The time to do something was years ago when the lies and BS and crackdowns and stuff was fresh. And I have zero trust that the GOP will do anything, because they really never do. If the situations were reversed the Democrats would have already prosecuted Fauci and tons of other people. If the Dems win the House this Fall they will be holding TDS impeachment hearings by no later than day 3 of the new term, even if they don’t hold the Senate. Going after all sorts of Trump admin members immediately. They do not play. Republicans haven’t figured out this game this century.

Cruz and Fauci have had a longstanding feud, similar to his relationships with other GOP senators like Paul, over Fauci’s handling of the outbreak and claims he was dishonest about the origins of COVID-19 to both Congress and the American people.

“In his diary, he wrote early on that it was clear that the COVID virus did not come from the wet market in Wuhan, and then he turned around and said exactly the opposite thing on national television,” Cruz said.

Everyone who perpetuated the COVID fraud and lockdowns and everything that went along with it will get away with it, both in the US and internationally, just like they have from the get go. It’s sad.

PRNY Mandates Climate (scam) Eduction From K-12

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted”

From Kindergarten to College, New York Is Rethinking Climate Education

Five years ago, a UNESCO study of educational policies in 100 countries revealed that nearly half neglected to mention climate change. Even worse, only 23% of teachers felt able to properly address climate action in their classrooms. Yet, in a 2022 study published by the international organization the following year, students overwhelmingly expressed concerns about the way climate change was being—or not being—taught, especially since 70% of those surveyed said they didn’t feel they could explain what it is. Among their demands: to understand the human role in nature and how to take concrete actions to protect it; to learn through experiential and reflective ways of learning about sustainability and climate; for diverse aspects of climate change to be taught across subjects; and understand how climate change affects their particular geographic area as well as the world at large. (snip)

This past March, the New York State Board of Regents approved a statewide climate education mandate, placing climate education as an instructional requirement across all content areas, from kindergarten to grade 12. After a phasing-in period, all schools will have to submit verification to the state that as students move through grades K-4, 5-8 and 9-12, they’ve had some sort of climate education instruction that teaches the causes, impacts and solutions to climate change.

“They allow a lot of flexibility in terms of how it can be implemented, so it could either be through embedded instruction, which can be infused into required courses and subject areas, like science, math, social studies, etc.,” says Emily Fano, director of climate education at the National Wildlife Federation, who helped make this requirement a reality. “Or teachers can create a standalone course. It’s all about what schools have time for and what teachers have time to prep. It really also depends on how informed principals and superintendents are.”

Start them early, when they do not really know what’s going on, and they can be fully indoctrinated by the time they can vote.

Good News: Federal Agents Arresting Illegals At Airports

This has given the Credentialed Media a case of the sads

Reports of airport immigration arrests come amid increased TSA-ICE collaboration, sources say

Recent reports of immigration arrests at U.S. airports, some of them captured in videos that have gone viral, stem from increased collaboration between the Transportation Security Administration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE sources tell CBS News.

TSA has been sharing more information about noncitizen travelers with ICE, including on immigrants who lack criminal records but are suspected of civil immigration violations, like overstaying their visas, the sources say.

TSA agents are increasingly giving ICE “tips” or “leads” so that agency can arrest, detain and process for deportation individuals who are deemed deportable by the federal government. (snip)

Previously, ICE sources told CBS News, TSA and ICE worked closely together, but mainly on lower-profile and noncontroversial investigations and arrests involving federal criminal offenses or public safety concerns, like drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Now, the two federal agencies are collaborating more broadly on civil immigration enforcement. In May 2025, TSA and ICE signed an agreement to boost information sharing between the two agencies, according to a memo disclosed this week by the group American Oversight.

Isn’t this the way it’s supposed to work, with federal law enforcement agencies sharing data on law breakers?

One of the ICE sources said that people traveling at airports are “easy targets” who immigration agents can arrest in secured locations and while having information about their cases in advance. The source noted that doing immigration enforcement at airports is a relatively straightforward way to boost arrest levels, at a time when the White House has been pressuring ICE to record 2,000 daily arrests.

No guns, no knives, almost nothing that can be used to assault federal agents with. Illegals should really not be emboldened to simply travel around the U.S.

Surprise: Scientists Say Earth’s Population Needs To Be Cut In Half

Usually it’s just the climate cult/ecoloons in fringe publications who say this, or on Twitter or Facebook or something. Now we have something in a real news outlet from a big “science” outlet pushing this insanity

Scientists say we need to HALVE Earth’s population to just 4 billion to save the planet

It might sound like the evil plan of a nefarious villain, but scientists now say that we need to halve Earth’s population to save the planet.

Over the last 100 years, the world’s population has ballooned from less than two billion to 8.3 billion people.

However, researchers say our planet cannot sustain this explosive growth for much longer.

Now, in a proposal that will remind movie fans of Thanos’ plot in Avengers: Infinity War, scientists argue that the population needs to be ‘eased’ down to four billion by 2200.

However, rather than the instant destruction envisioned in that blockbuster hit, the scientists say that this could be managed as a gradual decline.

I suggest that the Warmists/ecoloons start with themselves

If the global population could be reduced in the next 200 years, this could help ease humanity’s burden on the environment and ensure there are enough resources to go round.

In their paper, published in the journal Sustainable Development, the researchers write: ‘Easing to a smaller and sustainable population would not deprive additional billions of life but instead ensure that when they do arrive conditions will be good.’

Have at it, nuts. No kids for you, make sure to off yourselves to save the planet. Especially the scientists involved

Conservative estimates suggest that the world’s population could hit 11.4 billion by 2100, leading to dire consequences.

Based on current trends, this would create a world with ‘nearly double the current CO2 emissions, energy and pesticide use, and quadrupled plastics waste’.

It’s a cult.

Democrats Super Worried Interview With DSA Member Will Hurt Them

The DSA is the natural progression of how wacko Democrats have become, and, come on, few are actually calling the DSA out

Democrats fear viral DSA interview on Fox News will leave a scar

Democrats are worried that widely circulated comments from a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) leader outlining the group’s priorities could become Republican attack fodder as the midterm elections draw closer.

The unease from moderate Democrats intensified after Megan Romer, DSA co-chair, was asked a lightning round of questions on Sunday during a Fox News interview about the organization’s platform, answering true to several proposals, including abolishing the Senate and — as a long-term goal — prisons.

If they don’t become GOP ads then some Republicans need to be fired for failing to play Politics 101

Now, on the heels of a string of primary victories by DSA candidates in states including New York and Colorado, some Democrats worry that it will have an impact on Democrats across the board.

“You now have to argue to voters that you aren’t insane when you want to talk about making groceries cheaper,” said Democratic strategist Steve Schale.

“It’s all just off message,” Schale said, adding that Democrats in competitive races will now “have to spend time and research dollars learning how it impacts the race, then you may have to spend limited campaign resources pushing back on the idea that you want to eliminate the presidency or close prisons when you need to be talking about how to make life more affordable.”

It’s the only message Democrats seem to have, other than Orange Man Bad. You had the serious rise of the DSA wackos in the Squad around 2018, and they kept rising because Democrats offered no real message, so, they filled the void and the Democrat base, unhinged wackos who cosplay as Marxist revolutionaries, ate it up, particularly the affluent ones.

Fox News’s Shannon Bream asked Romer a string of rapid-fire, true or false questions — including whether the DSA platform includes “abolishing the Senate,” to which Romer replied, “True.”

“Replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know them?” Bream asked on Sunday.

“Yep,” Romer replied.

Romer then proceeded to say a DSA government would “absolutely” abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. When asked if a DSA government would abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone who is in the U.S. illegally, Romer replied, “As a long-term plan, yep.”

They really do believe this stuff. They want to release everyone from jail, get rid of the cops (of course, they’ll all have their own private security), ban all guns, and so much more.

Democratic strategist Hyma Moore warned that the interview is “going to hurt DSA candidates first, but it will weigh down on Democrats writ large.”

“They’re talking about burning the whole thing down and that’s not where people are,” Moore said. “They don’t want to burn the whole thing down.”

“This is going to be an albatross Dems have got to watch out for,” he added.

These are your people. Most Democrats won’t call them out, because they’re more concerned with winning than anything else, just like with Graham “Nazi Tattoo” Platner. The complete wackos were elected because of Bush Derangement Syndrome, and then they started getting more and more extreme. Have fun!

The platform itself reads like a fever dream a committee wrote line by line. A 32-hour workweek with no reduction in pay and benefits, a federal jobs guarantee, canceling all student debt, and free college from pre-K through graduate school anchor the economic wish list, alongside healthcare that is universal, free, and includes gender-affirming care as a guaranteed right.

Unfortunately, a large number of Democrats who were indoctrinated in colleges think this is great.

The DSA is just as blunt about reimagining how the government works. The platform seeks statehood for Washington, D.C., self-determination for U.S. territories, and the abolition of both the Electoral College and the Senate, alongside an expanded House and a presidency and Supreme Court that answer to Congress instead of operating independently. The DSA wants to swap the two-party system for proportional representation and ranked-choice voting and pay for all of it through full public financing of every election.

Which would leave the Dems in charge permanently. Because Democracy or something.

Climate Yutes Not Giving Up On Their Climalawfare, Want Full 9th Circuit Hearing

I’d actually like to see the 9th Circuit take this up, and ask the kiddies one question “have you stopped using fossil fuels/petroleum in your own lives?”

Youth climate lawsuit seeks full Ninth Circuit hearing

A group of young plaintiffs, who sued the federal government alleging a series of executive orders threaten their constitutional right to life by exacerbating climate change, are still fighting their battle in court.

After a three-judge panel on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the lawsuit’s arguments in June over a lack of plausible link between their alleged injuries and the federal actions, the plaintiffs are asking the full Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear their case and “correct the three-judge panel’s abdication of law and duty,” according to a press release by law firm Our Children’s Trust.

Look, I’m not a lawyer, but, that kind of language would rather tick me off as a judge, and would cause one of two things: A: reject the plea outright, or B: hold the hearing, and utterly roast the little idiots and their lawyers in open court.

“The panel’s decision is the first in American history to deny courts the power to review an unconstitutional executive order. That is not a small mistake. That is constitutional corruption,” said Julia Olson, Chief Legal Counsel and Co-Executive Director of Our Children’s Trust. “No president should be able to direct a sweeping fossil fuel agenda that endangers children’s lives and face zero judicial review. The full Ninth Circuit has the opportunity and the obligation to correct that.”

Lighthiser v. Trump is one of a series of youth-led climate change lawsuits brought by Our Children’s Trust, an Oregon-based advocacy law firm, which also successfully litigated Held v. Montana in 2023. The plaintiffs include young people from Montana, Oregon, Hawaii, California, and Florida.

Really, all the yutes are simply human shields to support the big money groups behind all this. It’s pure astroturf.

Federal District Court Judge Dana Christensen said he had dismissed the case “reluctantly,” but the scope of the request from the 22 young people was “an unworkable request.”

The circuit court agreed, saying granting an injunction rolling back three Executive Orders would require “extensive judicial supervision of executive branch actions related to energy policy.” (big snip to the end)

The Constitution gave us the tools to hold our government to its promise,” lead plaintiffs Eva Lighthiser said. “We are 22 young people using exactly those tools, and we are asking the full Ninth Circuit to do its part. Two hundred and fifty years later, the promise still has to mean something.”

Yeah, well, we have a voting system to deal with this. If the kiddies do not like this they should convince people to support their cause.

Unhinged Rep Don Bacon Upset Over Opposition To His Cheap Foreigners Labor Bill

With allies like Don who needs enemies?

‘Hate,’ ‘Stupidity’: Rep. Bacon Slams Citizen Opposition to Visa Workforce Bill

Retiring GOP Rep. Don Bacon says “hate” and ‘stupidity” are motivating the citizens who oppose his support of a cheap labor bill for the rural economy– even as multiple other GOP representatives are quietly quitting the amnesty push.

“What polling shows us is that approx 35% HATE all immigrants … And they’re loud,” Bacon said in a July 22 tweet.

“It’s time we stand up to stupidity,” Bacon responded when the pro-investor bill was criticized by a former top official in President Donald Trump’s first administration.

Pennsylvania Rep. Glen Thompson’s Securing America’s Workforce Act (SAWA) would massively expand the number of wage-capped H-2A visa workers in the rural economy. The bill would also allow many U.S-based illegals to gain legal status by working for food companies.

“This is about replacing entire segments of American [agriculture workforcewith foreign serf labor,” Rosemary Jenks, founder of the Immigration Accountability Project, told Breitbart News. The resulting loss of rural jobs and spending power — and the resulting out-migration of young Americans — will wreck many local businesses, including those owned by the members of many Chamber of Commerce groups, said Jenks.

Look, I’ve long stated that I support getting back to the system where the US provides visas for things like agriculture and home building, where they come for a bit of time and then leave, with the visas typically lasting less that a year. They don’t bring their whole families. Back when this was the norm the biggest complaint was about money being sent out of the country, with some blowing off the visa requirements and not leaving.

At this point, though, it’s difficult because there are so many damned illegals/fake asylum seekers, all the Dreamers, etc, who refuse to assimilate, who fly their own flags, won’t learn the language, and demand that the US change to accommodate them, all while receiving tons of taxpayer funded largess.

And squishy Republicans like Bacon do not help when they slam Republican voter. Can you imagine Democrats blasting their own base in this manner?

So far, four of 47 GOP members have announced they are ending their support of the bill: Nebraska Rep. Mike Flood, plus North Carolina’s Rep. Tim Moore, R-N.C., Georgia’s Brian Jack, and Indiana’s Mark Messmer.

Go away.

You Know What Would Be Cool? If Polluters Had To Pay For Climate Doom

What if they had to pay?

What if polluters had to pay for the effects of climate change?

Megan Hall: Welcome to Possibly, where we take on huge problems like the future of our planet and break them down into small questions with unexpected answers. I’m Megan Hall.

This year, the Rhode Island General Assembly considered a type of bill that’s been popping up across the country: it aims to make fossil fuel emitters pay for the impacts of climate change.

Rhode Island didn’t end up passing the legislation this year, but Nat Hardy from our Possibly Team spoke with one of the bill’s sponsors about what comes next in Rhode Island.

Nat Hardy: Hi, Megan! Thanks for having me.

I guess PBS is able to operate without all that federal money

Nat Hardy: Yeah, it’s called a climate super fund bill. It’s a pretty new idea to address the impacts of climate change.

Jennifer Boylan: The concept is to make the polluters pay for the damages that they caused.

Nat Hardy: That’s Representative Jennifer Boylan, the lead sponsor in the House, for the Rhode Island Climate Superfund Act of 2026. She’s introduced this bill two years in a row with her colleague, Senator Linda Ujifusa,

Has anyone asked if Jen and Linda still use fossil fuels themselves?

Megan: Who would pay these costs?

In reality, that would be you, Megan. In Reality Land companies will pass those costs on. Or, just stop operating in the state.

Nat Hardy: The bill specifically targets the biggest polluters: companies responsible for more than one billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions. So we’re talking companies like Chevron, Exxon Mobil, B.P., Shell. And the companies would be charged proportionally, based on their emissions over the past few decades.

Megan Hall: Interesting! I didn’t realize states could do something like that.

Yeah, they really can’t, per multiple losses in federal court and multiple lawsuits

Nat Hardy: So climate superfund bills are trying to do the same thing. If you caused the damage, you pay to fix it. And the greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel companies are causing the more powerful storms, heatwaves, and other impacts we’re seeing from climate change.

This BS. Let’s, for the sake of argument, say that the products of these companies have a massive role in the (minor) temperature increase of the world, that are causing all sorts of Bad Weather: they aren’t doing it in a vacuum, there are people who use those products. Why don’t we make them pay? Why don’t we stick it to the citizens of Rhode Island? That’s where all this breaks down, all these people wanting Something Done, wanting That Guy taxed, but, refusing to pay themselves and refusing to stop doing the things and using the products they say is setting the world on fire.
