80% people want more govt action to fight climate change: UN poll

A global poll of 75,000 participants published Thursday revealed that every four out of five people want stronger national commitments to addressing climate change.

The survey by the U.N. Development Program, Oxford University and GeoPoll posed 15 questions by randomized telephone calls to people in 77 countries representing 87% of the world’s population.

The key finding was that 80% of respondents want their governments to increase efforts to fight against global warming.

Poorer countries beat this drum the loudest, with 89% in favor, though appetite is also high in the wealthy G-20 nations (76%), according to the survey.

China (73%) and the United States (66%) – the world’s biggest greenhouse gas emitters – also saw a majority of respondents in favor of climate action.

Interestingly, the UN, full of climahypocrites, failed to ask what these climate cultists are doing in their own lives. But, it’s no surprise those in 3rd world nations want action, because it means lots of redistributed money from countries that have prospered.

This is not surprising since those who stand the most to gain are the ones who were polled. We all know that these 77 countries all want the USA to PAY UP. I mean hell. We give every person on earth trillions while our own country is falling apart.

It makes no sense. So much so that two more billionaires just endorsed Trump from Silicon Valley.

    There statement reads……..

“This Administration’s actions have been nothing short of an unprecedented abuse of power wielded entirely for twisted political gain at the complete expense of innovation, the American taxpayer, and the American economy. There is nothing the Biden Administration can do or say at this point to pretend otherwise.”

There is nothing the Biden Administration can do or say at this point to pretend otherwise.”!!!!!

You’d think, if so huge a majority want government action, governments would be taking action, but we’ve seen that they mostly aren’t.

If this were the case, why isn’t Joe Biden at 80% in the polls?

Interesting, that in the USA out per capital green house emissions have declined by 20% over the last 20 years. Cars and appliances become more efficient every year. Industry has seen their bottom line improve by burning less fossil fuels.
Some people still weep at their personal loss of incandescent bulbs (Damn that Kenyan born Obama!) but most are happy with their davings

Yes, Carbon offset boy-mainly due to fracking for natural gas. Emissions worldwide still rising, if you’re scared of that kind of thing..

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Jill typed: mainly due to fracking for natural gas

for the reason that US CO2 emissions have decreased significantly (as have EU emissions).

Off course, that makes absolutely NO sense. Few autos run on natural gas.

        • Jl says:

The response was to “in the USA per capita gh emissions have declined by over 20%”. Nothing about automobiles were mentioned. Who said anything about cars and natural gas? Not me

      • david7134 says:

Most government and utility vehicles in my area run on nat gas. Add school buses. But the thing is carbon does nothing to the climate. Yes we have climate change, but all the fuss over carbon is a hoax.

amazing isnt it? the level of bs they will come up with to keep their grift going. equally amazing is the media parroting the request for more grift.

    Government By and For Billionaires

Billionaire George Soros (93) donated $60 million to Dem/Biden (81) SuperPac.

Billionaire Timothy Mellon (81) donated $50 million to Trump (78) SuperPac.

Earlier, Mellon donated $25 million to Trump and $25 million to Robert Kennedy Jr (70).

If elected, Mr Trump’s tax policies will be payback to Mr Mellon.

Recent poll has Trump as America’s worst person. Worse than Madoff, John Wayne Gacy, Nixon, Andrew Johnson, Kissinger, John Wilkes Booth, Rosenbergs, Newt, Rush, Reagan, Jefferson Davis, Rupert Murdoch…

My vote goes that Murdoch, Trump, Rush and Reagan have harmed the nation the most.
