That is true! And when those legal efforts failed, he conspired with others to bugger the certification of the vote. He attempted to strongarm the Republican-led legislators in battleground states. He and his conspirators tried to enroll slates of fraudulent electors. He and his conspirators led the sacking of the US Capitol in an attempt obstruct or delay the Constitutionally-mandated certification of the vote.
He was not indicted for what he said, but for what he did.

A coup doesn’t have to involve weapons. (BTW, flagpoles with Old Glory were used as weapons to beat Capitol police officers). Over 100 police officers were injured “opening gates” for the peaceful protesters.
It’s one thing to legally question an election, as the Trump regime DID filing over 60 suits. It’s another to illegally ignore the results and to attempt to overturn an election by obstructing the lawful certification of the vote, by enlisting slates of “unelected” electors and by coercing states to ignore the will of the people and “give” Trump the win.
Court case after court case, recount after recount, exhaustively confirmed that President Trump lost the election by millions of votes and by a sizable EC margin.
Ridiculous-Before the Jan. 6th speech Trump called for National Guard re-enforcements at the Capital. Pelosi refused.
From his speech that day: “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capital building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
