Besides putting cyclists in danger, the protestors on that rural road in the Carron Valley did not even attract the publicity they craved. The only footage was of the riders and support vehicles coming to a halt, with an announcement on commentary: “We’ve got some kind of blockage.” The sight of the five people affixed to the road surface was never shown. So what purpose, if the power of the protest lay in its visual impact, were they fulfilling?

Au contraire! Of course correlation is evidence! Evidence is not necessarily proof. Recall that one condition of a scientific theory is predictability. In addition, that atmospheric CO2 slows the loss of infrared wavelengths to space makes scientific sense. It was shown a century ago that CO2 and other gases, e.g., water vapor and methane, absorb infrared radiation and re-emit it.
Does smoking “cause” cancer or is that “just a theory”?

Correlation rarely if ever leads to causation. The only time that it does lead to causation is when someone is lying for gain.
Which doesn’t refute the fact that because temp rise and CO2 rise happen at the same time, it doesn’t mean one causes the other.
In fact, at various times throughout history temps rose as CO2 decreased and temps dropped as CO2 went higher. A different version of CO2 back then?
“Predictability”-global temps cooled in the 1940s to 1970s time range as CO2 rose. Tom Karl, head of NOAA at the time, stated on record that global temps actually cooled from 1921 to 1979, but not surprisingly you won’t find a graph today that shows that. I wonder what happened…?

Incorrect. The amount of warming observed has been much less than predicted – i.e. the CO2 “theory” fails. More than likely, it’s just interglacial warming – over which man has no power.
