Everybody Panic: Hotcoldwetdry Is Making Waves Bigger In The People’s Republik of California

This is horrible!

Climate Change Is Making Waves Bigger in California

The weather is warming, ice caps are melting, and we’re all basically screwed.

That’s the basic, highly unscientific premise of climate change and global warming, right? Unless we can reverse a century and change worth of fossil fuel damage to the ozone, or find a way to move to Mars, humanity will die a slow, very hot death.

But perhaps there’s another side effect of climate change, as suggested by a new study.

Per NPR:

“The study, published Tuesday in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, looked at nearly a century’s worth of data, and found that the average height of winter waves have grown by about a foot since 1969. The number of storm events that produced waves greater than 13 feet in height has also increased, the study found.”

Um, this piece is in Surfer magazine, so, you’d think they’d be thrilled by this news. Of course, bigger waves do not generally mean better waves. A couple of the best surfing days I’ve ever had were on ones with a 2-4 foot faces, and were coming in perfectly, allowing for all sorts of tricks, including 360s and aerials (I almost blew out someone’s back, they were hiding behind the wave, I was getting off, spun back into a hanging aerial.) I’ve also had a blast on 10+ foot faces.

But, it’s always something with climate cult members, always finding the worst in every bit of news. It’s a shame that so many of these surfing magazines and organizations went cultist, rather than being concerned with the real issue of ocean pollution

“By the turn of this century, federal estimates warn nearly three-quarters of California’s picturesque beaches may be completely eroded by rising seas. A report by California’s nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office found that between $8 and $10 billion worth of existing property is likely to be underwater within the next few decades, with an additional $6 to $10 billion worth of property at risk during high tides.”

So, the waves might get bigger as we delve deeper into climate change, but the beaches might not be there to surf…or at least, they’ll be in different places, like inland.

New surf spot in the 909?

Sigh. There’s always erosion. Hence why beachside towns like Malibu are littered with boulders at the sea’s edge. And then other places build up. Geology changes.

there is no science known to man that can CONTROL THE WEATHER!!

Couldn’t possibly have anything to do with this.

    Or maybe Trump.

    Wild,
I have heard that given proper circumstances it is possible to induce rain. It has been noted that in the War Against Southern Independence and again in WW1, rain was stimulated after very heavy artillery bombardment. The army developed a system in Vietnam were they produced rain when needed. Of course that could all be bullshit.

One thing for sure, human are not causing climate changes. We are just seeing a periodic change as has occurred for the last several hundred years. This is being used by our great politicians to oppress us.

Humans do not now nor have they ever controlled the weather. We know that the impressionable and dullard minds of people like H and Elwood believe in all kinds of mystical crap and rain men are just one of the silly things they believe in. No different than the Indians who inhabited this great land before we got here and civilize them they believe in jumping around and rain dances and all this kind of stuff and that the acts of human beings alter the weather. As intelligent civilized people we know that’s not true. But the track invents people with a religious fervor for their nonsense is impossible. It’s like trying to convince them that there’s no way a senile old pedophile could have gotten 81 million votes in an election it was stolen.

It could be worse in the sense that the Elwood’s and the H’s could believe in other crazy non scientific things like masks for COVID or something really stupid like people changing their sexes. At least they’re not that crazy.(sarc)

The easily impressionable minds of leftists are the most dangerous things about them. History has shown us that they can be told that Jews are inferior and should be eliminated that kuklak’s should be killed by the millions and that men can have the menses. Usually most of their beliefs end up with millions of dead bodies that’s why liberals are definitely dangerous. You could always tell a radical leftist they are the ones screaming follow the science while they refuse to follow the science. In fact to listen to them they sound like blithering idiots.

States that masked and vaccinated had covid death rates much lower than those that did not
The difference in death rates is as much as 300% (Hawaii and Vermont vs Mississippi)
In addition, according to a Yale study involving FL and OH death rates of registered republicans were much higher than that of democrats AFTER vaccinations became available

The GOP may have lost about 500000 more voters than Dems from COVID.

If you ever bothered to check primary sources instead of just relying on the info you WANT to believe, you would know that Gore’s Santa Barber house is about 600′ above the current sea level.

Yes, it is highly unscientific. Good catch.

Carbon offset boy-from your article: “does this mean the differing vaccine uptake levels between Republicans and Democrats caused the mortality gap? Goldman-Pinkham says that doesn’t prove that’s the case”.
