Your Fault: Heatwaves To Make Places Unlivable

Yes, it’s that time of year to start really pimping the uber-doom, what with the next UN IPCC COP meeting in Egypt coming up in November

Heatwaves will make regions uninhabitable within decades: UN, Red Cross

Heatwaves will become so extreme in certain regions of the world within decades that human life there will be unsustainable, the United Nations and the Red Cross said Monday.

Heatwaves are predicted to “exceed human physiological and social limits” in the Sahel, the Horn of Africa and south and southwest Asia, with extreme events triggering “large-scale suffering and loss of life”, the organisations said.

Heatwave catastrophes this year in countries like Somalia and Pakistan foreshadow a future with deadlier, more frequent, and more intense heat-related humanitarian emergencies, they warned in a joint report.

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) released the report in advance of next month’s COP27 climate change summit in Egypt.

“We don’t want to dramatise it, but clearly the data shows that it does lead towards a very bleak future,” said IFRC secretary-general Jagan Chapagain.

Right, right, they don’t want to dramatise it. That’s all they do. And, what happens when this doesn’t occur? Who’s held responsible for the doomsaying? And, has this happened during previous Holocene warm periods? There needs to be a comparison for proper science. The Sahara used to be a lush rain forest 6,000 years ago. How dare you drive fossil fueled vehicles back then!

Then people in those areas should stop having kids now. Just to get ready.

The LEAD: Few schoolchildren know the word ‘entomophagy,’ but kids in Australia are becoming familiar with the fancy word that means human consumption of insects.News.com.au reported last week that 1,000 Australian schools have added chips containing crickets to their lunch menu. Manufactured by Circle Harvest, the chips are called Cricket Corn Chips.

The Biden administration and the state of California, normally steadfast allies on a range of environmental issues, will face off today in a Supreme Court case that will decide whether California has the right to impose tough animal-welfare standards on pork produced outside the state.

The RUB: Conspiracy theorists now think sustainability is the groundwork that elites will use to eventually micromanage the smallest aspects of our lives in a post-pandemic hellscape.

The REALITY: IN A WORLD FULL OF LIES THE TRUTH IS A CONSPIRACY.

Teach the change in the African monsoons which triggered the desertification if the Sahara were triggered not by a change in CO2 but in the change in the Earth’s orbit.

MAGA men now openly supporting Russia by flying Russian flags on their pickup trucks

    • Doom and Gloom says:

MAGA hats and flags that say “Make Russia Great Again”, “Make Ukraine Great Again”, “Make China Great Again”, etc

It’s obvious the left has a severe hard-on for Russia and Putin and has been so brainwashed that Trump and Russia/Putin are synonymous that they cannot even form a cohesive thought that is not forged in 6 years of lies.

People on the right admire PUTIN’S ANTI-WOKE stance. Not Putin. People on the right admire Putin’s anti-Globalist cabal, Not Putin.

The Ukrainian embassy in Ireland has reacted with horror to a Russian car convoy in support of the war that took place in Dublin, describing it as “disgusting disrespect”.

‘If you love your country, you’re probably on the right’: NY Times panned after suggesting US flag now represents conservatism

Sorry H, can’t find any proof of what you posted about Maga’s and Russian flags after searching using BING and NOT GOOGLE.

As usual there is zero room for descent among the leftards. Everyone must be fake vaccinated and everyone must support Ukraine. Why? WE, America, is not at war with Russia. At least that’s what the nazi loving left in America keeps saying even as it supports the nazis in Ukraine. Therefore, WE Americans are free to support Russia if we choose. And there’s no law saying one must be a MAGA supporter to support Russia. What if you’re a Russian by decent? Or a Russian immigrant? Should they support Ukraine?

You do realize the Ukraine has entire regiments of actual nazis don’t you?

      Idiot.

MAGA, ya filthy nazi lover. (makes sense since his junta is nazi too)

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Luther supports the invasion of a European Democracy by Russia, the bombing of civilian targets in Ukraine and believes that Ukraine is a Nazi country. Russia hates America, democracy and freedom, and so does Luther.

        dissent (n): difference of opinion
decent (adj): marked by moral integrity, kindness, and goodwill
descent (n): derivation from an ancestor

Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic congresswoman from Hawai’i and a National Guard officer who served in Iraq. She was awarded the Combat Medical Badge, which is only granted to those “performing medical duties while simultaneously being engaged by the enemy.” She is a combat veteran!

She has now left the Democratic Party, saying in part:

I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.

To the Democrats, doing something really radical like opposing making a nuclear war more probable is tantamount to supporting Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. To me, it’s just plain common sense.

She’s hardly a conservative: she supports prenatal infanticide and socialized medicine. What she does not support is the war mentality of Joe Biden. It shouldn’t take someone who has been in combat herself to realize that.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

According to her record Tulsi Williams is a progressive cum soft-MAGAt, adamantly opposed to US military adventurism.

I suspect her move at this time is to garner some MAGAt support for her next electoral move in 2024. Senator from Hawaii, or from some carpetbagger state, or even a GOP Presidential run!

        • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

We get it. Tulsi used to be a wonderful, caring, democommie woman now you call her a maggot. Look in the mirror bitch.

You are for US military adventurism and it seems lately you support a nuclear war cause your retarded pedo wants one.

          MAGA, bitch.

  5. My older daughter is celebrating: tomorrow’s forecast high in Camp Arifjan is only 99º F! Temperatures of over 130º F are not uncommon in mid-summer.

Daytime highs have been well over 100º F in Kuwait for months, but, you know what? People still live there! The entire Arabian peninsula is inhabited, albeit sparsely in places, but people have been living there for as long as we have records. Moses fled Egypt to escape the wrath of Pharoah, and even if the catholic but not Catholic Mr Dowd wants to call that a fable, he cannot deny that the biblical writers knew of the land of Midian, on the western side of the Arabian peninsula, and that it was inhabited, 1500 years before the birth of Jesus.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The Catholic Mr Dana points out that humans have lived and live in severe or extreme climates on Earth – north of the Arctic Circle, deserts, Mongolia, Siberia – places that almost all humans avoid.

      • Professor Hale says:

        – places that almost all humans avoid.

Except all the humans who don’t.

Kuwait: Population 4.2 million. 2/3rd of whom are from other countries and CHOOSE to go there and live.

Qatar: Population 2.8 million. 2/3rd of whom are from somewhere more hospitable.

Saudi Arabia: Population 34.8 million… and growing, even though many of them have the resources to go somewhere else, anywhere else with a better climate.

      • Dana says:

The atheistic Mr Dowd notes that most people avoid living in the Arctic and Siberia, but wouldn’t global warming climate change make those places more rather than less desirable?

Of course, there are plenty of other places that a lot of humans have avoided, albeit less than the Sahara Desert. Places like, oh, Kentucky and Missouri, places of rather temperate climate, not because the climate is unbearable, but because so many flock to the coasts. Wyoming and Montana are beautiful states, beautiful but mostly empty states. There are scads of places in which more people could live, in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, under the far more liberal government Mr Dowd seems to prefer. Further east, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia are very nice, and mostly empty for being east coast provinces.

It’s not like there won’t be anyplace to live!
