German Leader Wants To Try Something New To Tackle Climate Crisis (scam)

Something about leading by example

German leader champions new tack on climate at Davos event

New German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Wednesday for a “paradigm shift” in the way the world approaches climate policy, saying his country would leverage its presidency of the Group of Seven industrial nations this year to push for standards to fight global warming. (snip)

In an address, Scholz focused on ambitions by Germany and the wider European Union to fight climate change.

“Europe has decided to become the first carbon-neutral continent by 2050; Germany wants to reach that goal in 2045 already … a monumental task, but a task that we can and will master,” he said.

Scholz added that Germany will use its G-7 presidency to “turn that group into the nucleus of an international climate club.”

Do the citizens who’ll be forced to pay for this and live the life have any say about involuntarily joining a cult?

“What we want to achieve is a paradigm shift in international climate policy. We will no longer wait for the slowest and least ambitious,” he said. “Instead, we will lead by example, and we will turn climate action from a cost factor into competitive advantage by agreeing on joint minimum standards.”

Scholz said the “climate club,” which he first announced months ago when he was finance minister, would be open to all countries.

How will they do this?

The targets Scholz suggested for the climate club — the 1.5-degree cap and climate neutrality by 2050 — are already part of or implied by the Paris accord. More significant, Scholz said the club could seek to achieve those goals “by pricing carbon and preventing carbon leakage.”

So, same old same old, which highly and negatively effects the middle and lower classes, not the Elites yammering at Davos. But, then, they aren’t worried, because they already made their money.

Did ya see junta joe the pervert’s 2 hour presentation of raw stupidity and dementia last night? It was fab!

The highlight was when he told Putin that he would be okay with an “incursion” into Ukraine but not an “invasion”. “It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do,” he told reporters. In other words, maybe an incursion is okay, but not an invasion. Got that?

Or as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) summed it up: “Joe Biden’s impotence emboldened Vladimir Putin and now he just green-lighted Putin to invade Ukraine . . .”

The fraud in the WH has to go. He’s an embarrassment to the US and a danger to our people and the world.

Let’s go Brandon, there’s a war to start!

Thanks, John, now fill us in how their lives and the lives of their children are allegedly in jeopardy.

Vladimir Vladimirovich has the hammer: he can cut off the natural gas shipments to the European democracies at a whim, and the Europeans know it.

Well, the Germans do have experience at submitting to authoritarian government, so there’s that.

Even in the democracies, Europeans aren’t really free. Their freedom of speech and of the press are far more restricted, and far-right political parties — odd that they don’t ban Communist parties! — are completely banned in some nations, including Deutschland. Saying politically incorrect things in the UK, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands can get you thrown in jail. Holocaust denial is criminally punished in some — not all — European countries. Criticizing the unchecked immigration from Muslim countries or rejecting the cockamamie notion that girls can be boys and boys can be girls qualifies as ‘hate speech’ in some European nations, including the UK, and is legally punishable. The right of the people to keep and bear arms is greatly restricted or completely non-existent throughout most of Europe.

In different terms, both our gracious host’s and my websites could be shut down by the authorities, and Mr Teach and myself thrown in the hoosegow for things we’ve written, were we living in an EU nation.

The United States is a truly unique nation, and we are lucky to live here!

The World Economic Forum is being held by teleconference this year. Ski resort owners at Davos hurt worst.
