WE advised the Bush administration that any long term commitment would end precisely this way unless we were prepared to do a korea. IN other words remain in that country in force inperpetuity.
Neoconservativism was and is a failure. It is Democrat lites with a massive desire to peddle democracy around the world. As we saw in Vietnam. Democracy is a failed experiment. Even EU, Australia, Israel and other nations are not the same type of Democracy that the United States invented and has tried to perfect.
One only has to look at what happened in Vietnam when we spent a dozen years arming and training the ARVN forces to defend south Vietnam. They literally threw up their hands and ran at the first sight of communist Chinese troops from North Vietnam….The exact same thing we are seeing in Afghanistan.
Many would argue the real reason we were in Afghanistan is to put pressure on Russia and Iran. Many more of US would argue the reason Putin spends his nights and days fukin with the USA is precisely because we are in Afghanistan, literally on his doorstep.
There was a time when I would have said do you think the USA would have tolerated CHINA living in Mexico or Canada but that time is long past. Today the left would welcome it and in fact I believe 100 percent with all that I have read, seen and watched that goes on behind the scenes that the left is desperate for communism.
They have been deluded by the dream of equality for all, that never exists and certainly does not nor did it ever exist in China, Cuba or the USSR.
There was only one way Afghanistan was going to end and your looking at it right now.
