TDS: Dems Introduce Act To Stop Trump Name On Federal Projects

We’re still waiting on them to call for the removal of Robert Byrd’s name from projects, since he was a member of the KKK at one point, and they now hate monuments, including Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson, but, in the meantime, they just can’t MoveOn from Trump

House Democrats Introduce ‘No Glory for Hate Act’ to Prevent Trump Name from Being Displayed on Federal Projects

Move OnDemocrats in the House of Representatives have introduced legislation that would prevent former President Donald Trump from having his name displayed on federal projects, buildings, statues, lands, or other type of commemoration.

According to the bill’s text, which was provided late last month, the legislation would “prohibit the use of Federal funds for the commemoration of certain former Presidents.” While Trump is not mentioned by name in the proposed legislation, he is the only president to have been impeached twice by the House.

The bill, dubbed the “No Glory for Hate Act,” was introduced by California Democrat Rep. Linda Sanchez and has 13 cosponsors, all of whom are Democrats. (snip)

The bill specifically prevents federal funds from being used to “create or display any symbol, monument, or statue commemorating any former President that has been twice impeached by the House of Representatives,” including “any highway, park, subway, Federal building, military installation, street, or other Federal property.”

The bill also prevents Trump from being buried at Arlington National Cemetery. (snip)

In addition, the bill states that twice impeached presidents are “not entitled to receive any benefit, other than Secret Service protection, under such Act.”

This is the Democrats version of unity, you know. Will Pelosi allow a vote on this? If it makes it to the Senate it will never pass the 60 vote threshold for a final vote, so it won’t make it to China Joe’s table.

How is it possible to negotiate with people who are unhinged and so hateful, so deranged? How can we work with people who have made politics so personal that it’s not enough to beat someone politically, but have to destroy them personally?

They should have a special section at Arlington for Presidents that were Acquitted at not one but TWO impeachment show trials.

Last I checked he wasn’t impeached because the Senate did not convict. But I’m sure all the big brain cells in the Nadler & Schiff skulls have it all figured out…like they did their failed impeachments.

    • Dana says:

The impeachment is the indictment, so yes, President Trump was impeached, just as Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were. But every Presidential impeachment has turned out the same way: all resulted in acquittals.

The Republicans got over the acquittal of President Clinton fairly easily, but the Dems, no, they’ll never get over the acquittals of President Trump. Nancy Pelosi’s tombstone will probably say, “I impeached Donald Trump twice!”

  2. Dana says:

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are like the crazy ex-girlfriends: they just can’t let go of Donald Trump!

Of course, Mr Dowd and Cousin It are like the crazy homosexual ex-boyfriends; they can’t let him go either! https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The overcompensating and increasingly upset Ms Dana is still obsessed with “that former guy”, who was defeated bigly last November.

White, christian nationalists are motivated by the myth of resurrection, so too with “that former guy”.

They believe their former guy is lying low behind the stone to reveal his true glory at just the right time! Hallelujah!

It’s the nuRight that is obsessed with the former guy’s significant personality but insignificant presidency.

We all recognize that it’s difficult to extract oneself from a cult and “that former guy” had given you all so much hope. Now it’s time to start the tough climb back to reality. Good luck.

It has become harder and harder to treat Elwood and his gay lover with respect since they refuse to treat others that way. Yesterday Elwood made a comment about hoe he thought Rush was the worst person on earth till Trump came along. One must ask why anyone would say shit like that. I wasn’t aware that Elwood listened to Rush but that’s the only way he could develop that insight. And of all the Tyrants and mass murderers in the world (including our own Gov. Cuomo the Slayer) why would one think Trump more eveil than that? The answer is anyone diverting from Elwood’s political agenda is non-human and he’d rather see them dead (Or at least not buried in Arlington).

Petty and pitiful clowns all on the left. That’s why they see no evil in the stealing of a national election and the insertion of a corrupt, senile pretender.

As the Elwoods erase names (and refuse to bury people they don’t like in Arlington) damnatio memoriae comes to mind.

This malevolent process of boycotting and erasing is not new and indeed can be traced back at least two thousand years to the Egyptian pharaohs in the 13th and 14th centuries B.C. In the Roman era it was common for public offices or deposed rulers to be erased from public memory by removing their names and images from public statuary, inscriptions, and coins. Historians have named this damnatio memoriae, condemnation of memory.

    All they have is hate.

Teach: How is it possible to negotiate with people who are unhinged and so hateful, so deranged? How can we work with people who have made politics so personal that it’s not enough to beat someone politically, but have to destroy them personally?

But according to Teach et al, “that former guy” was not defeated politically at all, he was the victim of a media, federal, state, local government, state and federal courts conspiracy to deprive him of his rightful place of leader of the free world.

Is there any good reason to name state facilities after “that former guy”, a guy who never had an approval rating over 50%? A guy who has no significant accomplishments?

A landfill or nuclear waste dump seems appropriate!!! LOL

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

LOL. As if Kye treats any of his “enemies” with respect.

In fact, I used to listen to Limbaugh at lunchtime. He was on KMOX in St Louis. He was a hate-monger that fueled the devolution of once-respectable conservatism. And he made 100s of millions doing it.

He spawned the likes of Hannity, Levin, Carlson, Beck, Alex Jones, ‘Savage’ Weiner… actually he was the architect of an entire industry built on lies and hatred. And he made 100s of millions doing it.

No doubt he had favorable qualities, but kept them hidden for financial reasons.

      RIP, Rushbo.

  4. Hairy says:

    He was impeached twice
He left office with the lowest poll numbers in history
Trump has an excellent chance of being indicted in 2 states
I say name a landfill after him or a nuclear waste dump

  5. Elwood P. Dowd says:

How can we miss “that former guy” if he never leaves??

He is still the spiritual leader of the party that he transformed into a movement based on hatred, xenophobia and white/Christian nationalism. Actually he didn’t so much as “transform” as to enable the free expression of those “qualities”.

If you build statues, rename airports, battleships and office buildings, your children and your children’s children will surely reverse your efforts.

Maybe it’s time for the far-right to recognize the failure of “that guy’s” brief reign and put it behind you. America’s future awaits you.
