Cuomo, top aides hold press conference indoors without face coverings
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a battle plan Monday for the state to attack the coronavirus pandemic and while boasting to reporters his push for mask-wearing has helped curb the number of cases in the state, neither he nor his aides on the dais – including state Health Commissioner Howard Zucker – wore face masks.
“What worked in the spring, and the reason you’re wearing a mask today, is because we told the truth, and New Yorkers responded,’’ the governor said the Manhattan news conference.
Cuomo, who did most of the speaking at the session, was surrounded by state troopers, spokespeople, his photographer, reporters and other aides – all who wore masks. The news conference was attended by about two dozen people in total, the report said. (snip)
“I think they all should be wearing masks,†Queens Assemblyman Ron Kim, a Democrat, said.
“I think the governor — especially with his platform and recent popularity — he has a responsibility to lead by example,†he added.
But, see, he had to speak, and speaking with a mask is a pain in the butt, and he had to make sure people saw his Serious Face
The governor’s head of communications, Peter Ajemian, told The New York Post in an e-mail Monday, “We follow and exceed all health guidance to ensure the safety of our briefings – period.â€
“They all wore masks when entering and exiting the briefing room and couldn’t be socially distanced,†Ajemian added.
So, let’s say you own a bar in NY, and have the chairs separated by more than 6 feet, and people wear masks while circulating. Cuomo’s mask police will still shut you down. You just need to Obey, peons.
LA County supervisor dines outdoors just hours after voting to ban the practice
A Los Angeles County supervisor dined outdoors last Tuesday just hours after voting to ban the practice over COVID-19 concerns, a new report said.
Sheila Kuehl, one of five elected supervisors that govern the county, was seen eating outside Il Forno Trattoria, an Italian restaurant in Santa Monica, Fox 11 reported.
Earlier that day at a board of supervisors meeting, Kuehl called the outdoor dining “a most dangerous situation†with regard to the possible spread of COVID-19.
Kuehl and two other members of the Board of Supervisors voted to ban outdoor dining at Los Angeles County’s 31,000 restaurants, which began last Wednesday, the report said.
“The servers are not protected from us, and they’re not protected from their other tables that they’re serving at that particular time, plus all the hours in which they’re working,†Kuehl had said, according to the report.
She says she loves the restaurant and wanted to dine there one last time before lockdown, apparently not caring that she’s putting the servers in danger. Because she’s an Elite, and you peons need to just listen and Obey.

The recovery rate for people under 50 who catch the Red Commie Flu is something like 99.8%. The recovery rate for those over 50 is about 98.5%. That ain’t exactly the Black Death folks. There have been 42 deaths of kids under 17 attributed to the Red Commie Flu over the last 9 months. During that time 519 kids under 17 committed suicide.
Wearing a cloth or paper mask to stop a flu is ridiculous. It’s all been bullshit since day one and the fear and panic contrived by the Democommies is just what Trump was trying to avoid. But we couldn’t abide by reason because Trump.
When you’re pulling numbers directly from your fourth point of contact, they tend to be “off.” When you’ve lost all touch with objective reality, like the CDC, they tend to be off by large amounts. At first the CDC and the “experts” were just guessing, now they’re so deeply invested in the hoax they can’t admit their mistakes. So they close small businesses and lock everybody (non essential, that is) down then go out for dinner with a dozen friends because they know it’s a hoax.
The same group of “experts” haven’t gotten one thing right. They told us there would be two million dead by May. Yet the 2020 death rate is almost identical to the 2019 death rate. They told us that masks would save the world, then that they wouldn’t help, then went back to saying they’re essential. When anyone who understands viruses knows that a cotton mask is about as effective against a virus as a chain link fence is against gnats. They said if we locked down the whole country, we’d stop the spread in two weeks. Then two months. Their current projection is that it will be two years before people are allowed out of their houses. They told us not to panic, then they told us we’re all going to die, now they’ve gone directly to “obey or else.”
Why anyone is listening to these idiots is beyond me.

This pandemic is challenging and Mr Trump was not up to the job. Ignoring the pandemic didn’t work. Speeches didn’t work. Declaring the pandemic over didn’t work. Blaming others didn’t work. He has now checked out. When the going got tough, trump went.
The experts said 2 million deaths if we did nothing. State level actions (restrictions, masks, improved med care) has reduced that to (projected) 0.5 million dead. We currently are in a surge on top of a surge with record numbers of hospitalizations and over 1000 deaths a day, nationally.
If this is “a flu”, it’s more deadly than the seasonal flu which infects more and kills fewer than SARS-CoV-2.

I think that they will be very quick in giving the vaccine. Then, they will require you to carry proof of having received the vaccine to be able to go to the store, work or anywhere.
