His crime? Mr Burke is alleged to be a registered Republican and a Donald Trump supporter. Cue an internet meltdown and a demand by activists that Comer be prevented from working again.

Reading further in that article, we learn that a NASCAR driver lost sponsors because of something his father allegedly said, before the current driver was born.
But this isn’t new. The left tried to demonize the younger President Bush because his grandfather, Prescott Bush, had some business dealings with Nazi Germany. George W Bush wasn’t even born until 1946, after the war was over, and his father, the elder President Bush, was a fighter pilot in the Pacific during the war.
But multi-generational demonization — note that the Constitution prohibits the ‘corruption of blood’ — is necessary for the woke, because without it, all white Americans today cannot be held liable for some white Americans owning slaves 155 or more years ago.
They have to try and make ALL white people guilty or they must face the fact slavery was almost exclusively a Democrat institution in America. They can’t live with the sins of their ancestors so they tray and spread them among all whites to assuage their own personal guilt.
Funny thing is I don’t know one conservative that holds today’s Democrats guilty of yesterday’s Democrats propensity for owning slaves. Only Democrats think like that.
