She whines along this long for quite some time, but, let’s face it: if the House Democrats led by Pelosi had a case, Trump would have been booted out. They didn’t. The People’s House will continue to defend democracy for the American people. We will uphold and protect the checks and balances enshrined in the Constitution, both in the courts of law and in the court of public opinion to preserve our republic “if we can keep it,†to quote Benjamin Franklin.

We wish we could be as optimistic as you. When tRump was elected we thought he would be a figurehead surrounded by reasonable and experienced aides. We thought he might grow into the office, but no. He’s getting worse.

Nearly 60 percent of viewers had a very positive reaction to the speech, 17 percent were somewhat supportive of Trump’s address, according to a poll from independent research company SSRS. Roughly 23 percent of those polled had a negative reaction.
The thing that the democrats need to be concerned about is the overwhelming approval from the 30 percent of the people polled claiming to be independents who gave trump high marks.
CNN and CBS had similar results. 43 percent of the viewers were GOP and 30 percent were Independents. Of the independents, he got rally high marks and that should throw up a ton of red flags for the Democrats.
