Excitable Democrats Send Articles Of Overturning 2016 Election To Senate

This is all so serious that Nancy Pelosi had commemorative pens and stuff

Nancy Pelosi Uses More than a Dozen Commemorative Pens to Sign ‘Sad’ Articles of Impeachment

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) declared herself “sad” as she used more than a dozen commemorative pens to sign the two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening.

The occasion was “so sad, so tragic for our country,” Pelosi told reporters, noting the “difficult time in our country’s history.” She then approached a table that had been prepared with the documents, and two dishes full of pens for her to use — about half a dozen pens in each.

Pelosi then sat and signed the articles, one for “abuse of power” and one for “obstruction of Congress.” She applied each pen, paused every few seconds, switched pens, and then continued.

The two dishes were swapped out and replaced with two new ones after the first article of impeachment had been signed — presumably, different pens for different articles.

Despite pronouncing herself “sad,” Pelosi smiled throughout the signing.

Well, really, we know this is all just a freakout from the Democrats, the next step in trying to overturn the results of the 2016 election which Hillary Clinton lost. They’ve been calling for impeachment ever since.

Here’s what Republicans should do: call their own witnesses, and not let Democrats call any of their own. Hey, it was fine for Democrats, right? They should call the whistleblower, since, according to the U.S. Constitution, all people are allowed to confront their accusers in a court of law. They should call Joe Biden and ask him about the video of him saying he told Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma or else the aid would be withheld. Heck, call Obama and ask if he was aware of Joe doing this. Call Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler.

They can dismiss the “obstruction of Congress” charge in about 3 seconds. If there was obstruction, it was of the House, not the Senate. And a defendant doesn’t have to cooperate. It’s up to the accusers to prove their case. And when it is purely political, there’s no need to cooperate in a sham. Why not call Matea Gold about her article “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun”, published on inauguration day. And Rep. Al Green, who said that the basis of impeachment started when he was running for office.”

Democrats are going to rue the day that they sent really dumb articles of impeachment over to the Mitch McConnell run Senate.

  1. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Impeachment is the Constitutional procedure for investigating and potentially removing a US President suspected of bribery, treason or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

The claim that impeachment is to “overturn” an election is ridiculous on its face, and is just TEACH repeating a GOP talking point.

TEACH is not interested in the truth, he is only interested in protecting Dear Leader. He wants the GOP Senate to whitewash the proceedings, ignoring what the American people have already seen and heard. The GOP will suffer for a cover-up. It’s no wonder that Trump has ordered his underlings not to cooperate. It’s no wonder that Trump wants Chief Justice Roberts to dismiss the entire proceedings.

The involvement of Trump, Giuliani, Pence, Barr, Manafort, Nunes and Parnas in the Ukraine scandal has been revealed during the time that Speaker Pelosi held the Articles of Impeachment.

Impeachment is Constitutional. The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

This is about as Constitutional as the Radical Republicans removing Andrew Johnson because he wouldn’t do their bidding.

The claim that impeachment is to “overturn” an election is ridiculous on its face, and is just TEACH repeating a GOP talking point.

Since we all know the whole thing was drummed up because Russia didn’t work, this “impeachment” is ridiculous on its face, and is just Hypocrite Hare repeating a Demo talking point.

Actually, it’s Cocaine Mitch who wants everything dismissed. Trump is the one who wants to call witnesses.

And what the American people have already seen and heard has told them this is a crock.

And the Demos now are in the position of covering up. Schiff For Brains and Fatty Nadless were afraid of the truth.

The involvement of Trump, Giuliani, Pence, Barr, Manafort, Nunes and Parnas in the Ukraine scandal has been revealed during the time that Speaker Pelosi held the Articles of Impeachment.

Manafort? he was in jail at the time?

Pence? Had nothing to do with it.

As always, Bolshevik Bunny just throws names in the air. The old Commie trick of let’s see if anything sticks.

Impeachment is Constitutional. The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Too bad they didn’t charge him with any High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

formwiz: this “impeachment” is ridiculous on its face

Withholding funds from Ukraine was illegal, even if we ignore the evidence of coercion for personal political purposes.

I’d be real careful taking anything from Commie News Net at face value, but, if you want to go that route, then Gropin’ Joe’s admission that he withheld $1B from Ukraine so they’d call off the investigation into his coke-addled son makes him a lawbreaker, too.

          • Zachriel says:

Biden didn’t withhold it, but threatened to withhold it. Nor was it a mandated congressional appropriation, but a discretionary loan guarantee in conjunction with the IMF. It was largely crafted by Joe Biden, and the Obama Administration had full authority over the matter.

The evidence is that Biden was working in furtherance of U.S. policy, not for any personal motive.

The distinguished Mr Dowd quoted the Constitution:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Note that bribery is specified, and that the Democrats are claiming that President Trump was attempting to bribe Ukraine into taking action to help discredit former Vice President Joe Biden, yet they never charged him with violation of bribery laws.

President Trump is being impeached for his one true crime: he defeated Hillary Clinton.

    • Kye says:

      One of Mr. Dowd’s comrads:

      https://www.azquotes.com/picture-quotes/quote-every-day-at-some-point-i-encounter-some-sort-of-anti-american-feeling-chelsea-clinton-97-69-21.jpg

I’ll bet that feeling doesn’t happen to the rest of us.

Trump 2020 Keep those anti-American feelings with the Traitors.

      • Zachriel says:

Kye: I’ll bet that feeling doesn’t happen to the rest of us.

The quote is taken out of context, and actually says quite the opposite of what is implied in the graphic.

“It’s hard to be abroad right now. Every day I encounter some sort of anti-American feeling. Sometimes it’s from other students, sometimes it’s from a newspaper columnist, sometimes it’s from ‘peace’ demonstrators,” she said.

“Over the summer I thought that I would seek out non-Americans as friends, just for diversity’s sake. Now I find that I want to be around Americans — people who I know are thinking about our country as much as I am.”

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Kye,

It’s not like you to intentionally mislead others.

You probably didn’t crop the quote to say the opposite of what Clinton intended, did you?

A source that you undoubtedly trust made you look foolish, and formwiz made himself look dishonest.

  3. Kye says:

Had the leftist Democrats NOT begun talking impeachment even BEFORE Trump took office then you would be correct to claim: “The claim that impeachment is to “overturn” an election is ridiculous on its face, and is just TEACH repeating a GOP talking point.” The problem is, the minute the Democrats lost (and even before if the “emergency plan is to be believed) they were screaming for impeachment which shows without a doubt that the Constitutional provision is being weaponized as a tool to overthrow a duly elected President. That, Mr. Dowd is the definition of Coup D’Etat. Treason!

“The involvement of Trump, Giuliani, Pence, Barr, Manafort, Nunes and Parnas in the Ukraine scandal has been revealed during the time that Speaker Pelosi held the Articles of Impeachment.” No, spouting off a list of opponents names is not proving anyone is involved in anything. It’s stage acting for the cameras and if you don’t know that then you shouldn’t comment about politics because you don’t know politics. They could just as easily read off the Republican voter registration list from Queens. It’s showmanship just like commies quoting the Constitution they ignore the other 364 days a year or quoting Thomas Paine or Longfellow. It’s all a sham put out by corrupt politicians to cover their asses.

I believe your hatred for Trump will not allow you to think straight and sadly it also won’t allow you to stand for justice just revenge. How Dare He, win an election when Hillary was ordained Queen!

Trump 2020 Give the bitches another four years of growth, security and pride in America.

    • Zachriel says:

Kye: Had the leftist Democrats NOT begun talking impeachment even BEFORE Trump took office then you would be correct to claim

Some Democrats thought Trump was hopelessly corrupt. So? Impeachment remains a constitutional option regardless.

As for overturning the election, that’s not how it works. The single federal officer that is impeached may be removed, but the rest of the government remains intact. In this case, Pence, who was also elected by the Electoral College, would become president.

      • Nighthawk says:

But never mind that they were talking about impeaching Pence right after impeaching Trump years ago. In a speech in 2018 Maxipad even said “You knock one down, and we’ll be ready for Pence. We’ll get him too”. She also said the same back in 2017.

This whole farce is absolutely about overturning the 2016 election.

        • Zachriel says:

Nighthawk: But never mind that they were talking about impeaching Pence right after impeaching Trump years ago.

There’s no support for impeaching Pence. However, if he were to be implicated in criminal activity, then he could be removed. Again, it doesn’t matter if a single member of Congress thinks he is corrupt. It takes a majority in the House to impeach.

Again, impeachment and trial is part of the constitutional process.

          • formwiz says:

Oh, come on, you’ve been talking about impeaching Pence, too, from the beginning.

it doesn’t matter if a single member of Congress thinks he is corrupt.

So you agree this is a nothingburger.

            Angel of Doof, indeed.

          • Zachriel says:

formwiz: Oh, come on, you’ve been talking about impeaching Pence, too, from the beginning.

Uh, no. We’ve always assumed the Pence had sufficiently isolated himself.

      • Kye says:

Impeachment is a Constitutional option if the President commits an impeachable act while in office, not during his entire life! If we don’t like what he did BEFORE he was elected then we shouldn’t have elected him but that is no reason to overthrow the government. We are not a banana republic as much as you commies would want us to be. Yet!

I realize it’s harsh for you to hear the word because you all think you’re so righteous but like it or not you’re traitors. Why is it ALWAYS Democrats who pull this shit?:

“Another offspring of a domestic terrorist runs for Office
        By M. Dowling -January 16, 20200

We saw it first in San Francisco when Chesa Boudin ran for district attorney. He won and is the son of two domestic terrorists who were imprisoned. His father is still in prison. His mother turned him over to two other domestic terrorists to be raised — Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn. Now we see a similar thing in Illinois.

Ameena Matthews is the daughter of domestic terrorist Jeff Fort and is a Democratic candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Illinois’ 1st Congressional District. She is going up against Bobby Rush and others. She won’t win this one in all likelihood, but she has a big future in the Democrat Party, no doubt.

Jeff Fort AKA Abdul Malik Ka’bah, co-founder of the Black P. Stones gang and founder of its El Rukn faction. Fort was sentenced to 168 years in prison after conspiring with Libya to perform acts of domestic terrorism. He also trafficked drugs and was arrested on weapons charges.

According to Wiki, “Her father is Jeff Fort, a co-founder of the Black P. Stones gang and founder of El Rukn. He is serving 168 years in a supermax prison for agreeing to commit domestic terrorism in exchange for $2.5 million from Libya. Matthews, too, was a gang member. She has said publicly that her children and her Muslim faith pulled her off the streets and guided her toward her peace work.”

Communists, socialists, terrorist sympathizers, Nazi’s, this is what the Democrats have devolved into. They are running a presidential campaign and not one of their “candidates” will state that males cannot “become” females. They cannot state the truth by their own standards. How pathetic can they get?

Trump 2020 Keep the traitors out of government.

        • Zachriel says:

Kye: Impeachment is a Constitutional option if the President commits an impeachable act while in office, not during his entire life!

Trump was impeached for what he has done since he took office. Withholding funds from Ukraine was illegal, even if we ignore the evidence of coercion for personal political purposes.

Kye: We are not a banana republic

One of the checks on presidential power is impeachment, which is specifically included in the U.S. Constitution.

          • formwiz says:

Again, Jeffery, (that’s who is writing this, right? instead of Angel of Doom, maybe Angel of Doof) there is no such law as abuse of power or obstruction of Congress.

And it’s supposed to be used for actual crimes.

          • formwiz says:

By the way, the GAO cannot rule something legal or illegal, they can deliver an opinion and that’s it. They also have a long history of flip flops on such issues.

Sounds like one of Zippy’s trolls trying to grease the skids.

Second, OMB disagrees with the GAO, so you’ve got 2 agencies arguing with each other.

Then there’s the issue that this is all for a court of law. Saying something doesn’t make it so, but it shows the public what a kangaroo court the Left wants to make this.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Again, Sibley (that’s really who is typing this, right?), breaking a law (committing a crime) is not necessary for impeachment, which is a process included in our Constitution to rein in a President.

          • gitarcarver says:

            formwiz,

It has been my experience that Zachriel is a different person than Jeffery. The styles are radically different and one can actually debate and discuss issues with Zach.

And it’s supposed to be used for actual crimes.

            That’s a misconception.

In Federalist 65, Hamilton explains: “A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments is an object not more to be desired than difficult to be obtained in a government wholly elective. The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. ”

While we think of impeachment for elected officials, it has been used more for appointments to the judiciary. In those cases, judges were impeached for such offenses as failure to hear cases, clear biases, rulings contrary to law, etc. None of those things are crimes, but they are grounds for impeachment.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

formwiz spanked twice in one comment from gitarcarver!

Can we all agree that committing a crime is not required for impeachment?

          • Zachriel says:

formwiz: no such law as abuse of power or obstruction of Congress.

Impeachment is not a criminal matter. It the person violates their oath of office, then that would be a valid reason for impeachment.

formwiz: By the way, the GAO cannot rule something legal or illegal, they can deliver an opinion and that’s it.

That’s right, it’s an official finding, but not a criminal conviction. However, it’s quite obvious the Trump administration violated the Impoundment Control Act, initially by not releasing the funds, then by not providing a valid reason for withholding the funds, for not informing Congress the funds had been withheld, and for blocking the investigation into why the funds were being withheld. The delay meant that some of the funds were not properly allocated per the law.

      • formwiz says:

Of course, that’s how it works.

Get rid of Trump, then Pence, and it’s President Pelosi Galore, who’s about as senile as Gropin’ Joe.

Try selling that one to the country.

  4. Kye says:

And these are Bernie supporters. Watch and listen what Elwood has us be:

    https://youtu.be/P3PWDNkLliE

Trump 2020 Don’t let the Elwood’s murder your families and our Country!

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      Kye,

It’s the right wingers who always threaten revolt and violence if they don’t get their way. Hate talk and “eliminationist rhetoric” tends to be right sided. Hispanics, Muslims, Blacks, LGBTQs, liberals, Jews, disabled… according to the right, if they could eliminate these groups from America, what a wonderful world it would be.

Have you read what’s happening in Virginia? The gov declared a state of emergency banning the carrying of firearms on the Capitol grounds next Monday because of violent threats from the alt-right/neoNazi base on a rally scheduled there.

Do you really feel the need to warn Americans about roving bands of liberals murdering Trump supporters, or is this hyperbole to frighten them?

      • Kye says:

The gov declared a state of emergency because he in his infinite commie leftist mind is trying to take away one of those Constitutional rights you keep saying you support.

Also, you guys keep repeating that impeachment isn’t a criminal act but a political one but you keep referring to “high crimes and misdemeanors” which the last I heard were crimes. And the object of impeachment stands trial and is punished, you know, like a criminal. Again you keep saying one thing and doing another.

“Withholding funds from Ukraine was illegal”. No it’s not. It is the Presidents job to negotiate his foreign policy. It was illegal to pay off Iran with taxpayers money though. It was illegal to give weapons to drug cartels in Mexico though. BTW, he didn’t “withhold funds from Ukraine”, he delayed them which is also his prerogative.

You are all just partisan pinkos dying to invalidate an election. Traitors one and all, not an honest man among you.

        Trump 2020 Time to separate.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Would any and all limits on personal firearms prompt you to rebel? What would be the proper extrajudicial punishment to inflict on Gov Northam and VA legislature to force them to accede to armed “protesters”?

Impeachment does not invalidate an election, but is a Constitutional process for investigating and possibly removing the President for not performing their duties.

Do you believe that the impeachment of President Clinton, who was elected overwhelmingly, was a coup? If not, why not?

You’re right, the President does not need to have broken a law to be impeached.

          • formwiz says:

Would any and all limits on personal firearms prompt you to rebel? What would be the proper extrajudicial punishment to inflict on Gov Northam and VA legislature to force them to accede to armed “protesters”?

Retiring them to rivate life would seem the most sensible, but one must wonder what’s with the scare quotes?

Are you going to tell us armed citizens are inherently violent? That assumption would only be valid if they were urban, Democrat, and had excessive melanin.

As things are Gov Blackface and company have already incited a rebellion and, unless the VA SA decides to open fire at Go Blackface’s order, I see no reason to assume that it will be the VA government violating the 1st Amendment rights of the citizenry.

Impeachment does not invalidate an election, but is a Constitutional process for investigating and possibly removing the President for not performing their duties.

You’re still hoping to railroad Trump, then Pence, so President Botox will be a reality, but there would be nothing to prevent Trump from running for re-election this fall, now would there?

And it has nothing to do with non-performing of duties. It has to do with violation of the law.

And so far, you got zip.

Do you believe that the impeachment of President Clinton, who was elected overwhelmingly, was a coup? If not, why not?

Do you believe such a question shows what a moron you are? If not, why not?

And nobody was planning from Day 1 to impeach Willie.

            Ass.

You’re right, the President does not need to have broken a law to be impeached.

That’s right, you’re wrong, as somebody once said. A President or officer of the government does have to have broken the law. That’s what treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors means.

I know Mommy has to read all this stuff to you, but take your underpants out of your ears because you like the smell and listen once in a while.

        • Zachriel says:

Kye: And the object of impeachment stands trial and is punished, you know, like a criminal.

No. Per the U.S. Constitution, “Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States”. So no, it’s not like a criminal trial, which can result in imprisonment. However, the Constitution also says, “but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”

Kye: It is the Presidents job to negotiate his foreign policy.

He can negotiate foreign policy, but can’t break the law doing so. In this case, Trump was in clear violation of the Impoundment Control Act.

        • Zachriel says:

formwiz: It was illegal to pay off Iran with taxpayers money though.

          It wasn’t U.S. taxpayers’ money, but Iran’s.

Biden didn’t withhold it, but threatened to withhold it. Nor was it a mandated congressional appropriation, but a discretionary loan guarantee in conjunction with the IMF. It was largely crafted by Joe Biden, and the Obama Administration had full authority over the matter.

I’ll bet that said loan has been kept out of the public eye because using such things for personal gain is, in fact, illegal. The idea that, because Zippy was idiot enough to give him the job, means that he could abuse it any way he wanted makes it legal is risible in the extreme.

And it was still used to extort a decision from the Ukrainian government they did not wish to make. Last I looked, extortion is a felony, or high crime. So is conspiracy, which drags Zippy into it.

The evidence is that Biden was working in furtherance of U.S. policy, not for any personal motive.

That’s not what comes out in the CFR video.

Angel of Doof or Hypocrite Hare, he really is a fool if he expects anyone to buy this.

Anybody wanna bet monkeying around with a discretionary loan guarantee in conjunction with the IMF to cover your son’s misdeeds isn’t illegal? I’ll bet the IMF has made sure their money is protected.

    • Zachriel says:

formwiz: I’ll bet that said loan has been kept out of the public eye

Out of the public eye, as published in every news sources at the time:

      February 26, 2014
Time Magazine: Ukraine: $1 Billion in Loan Guarantees from U.S.
      March 4, 2014
USA Today: U.S. pledges $1 billion aid to Ukraine, condemns Russia
      April 14, 2014
The Hill: US gives Ukraine $1B loan guarantee

formwiz: And it was still used to extort a decision from the Ukrainian government they did not wish to make. Last I looked, extortion is a felony, or high crime.

It is not illegal to pressure foreign countries for your national benefit or for mutual benefit, as Biden did. That’s called foreign policy. It is illegal to use U.S. resources to pressure foreign countries for your own personal benefit, as Trump did.
