Follow Up On The Thumb

If you’re interested, saw the doctor yesterday, confirmed there is a tiny chip out of the bottom of my thumb, the tip bone back near the joint. No need to cut it open to get it out, thankfully. Lots of bruising, ligaments a bit tight. Some swelling.

Healing pretty good. Needed lots of pain meds Friday and Saturday, only late day Sun and before sleep, one before sleep Monday and Tuesday, nothing Wednesday or today. Just acetaminophen. Don’t even need a splint, but, wearing a thin plastic one against bumping. Probably hurts more with it on than without.

Now the fun part to see if I can get my left contact out with my left thumb tonight. Looked like I had pink eye Saturday, as was so hard to get out with right hand Friday night.

Happy Halloween!

The best economy evah is percolating along below 2% growth. Almost as good as under President Obama!

Not quite the 6% growth rate that tRump predicted. But maybe he has another big tax cut for the rich ready to go. Or maybe another big boost in military spending to get the economy going again.

WASHINGTON—U.S. economic growth settled in at a lower gear in the third quarter, with consumer spending and housing investment increases offsetting a business investment drop.
Gross domestic product—the value of all goods and services produced in the U.S.—rose at an annual rate of 1.9% from July through September—adjusted for inflation and seasonality, the Commerce Department said Wednesday, compared with 2.0% in the second quarter.

Know Abu P. Dowd (aka Whimpering Littlet Sissybitch Abuser of Boys) who fancies himself as an economist misses the part about 3.5% unemployment?

      Not surprising.

      Jeff,
Your hate clearly makes you much more stupid than baseline. The liberal/communist now own this economy, at least the negative aspects. You see, the Fed massively increased interest rate at a critical time. Then you follow that with the childish actions of the Democrat party and just like that the idiot liberals have tanked all the good efforts of Trump. But don’t fear, we likely will not see many Dems in Washington on a year.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Got it, davey. Anything good is because of tRump, anything bad is someone else’s fault.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell was nominated by President Donald J. Trump and approved by a Republican Senate.

Trump unilaterally launched a disastrous trade war.

The Trump “revenue neutral” tax cuts are adding a trillion a year to the debt. Kudlow, Navarro and Mnuchin, oh my!

Trump promised to bring back manufacturing. Not happening.

Do you think we’ll reach 6% growth?

Disastrous only for the Red Chinese.

Too bad you never worried about the debt under Zippy.

          It’s happened.

Do you think we’ll reach 6% growth?

The day Trump sends MAGA, the Ranger wonder Dog, into Powell’s tunnel.

            MAGAt,

Your omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent god makes mistakes?? Sounds like blasphemy to us.

Now you even admit Preznit Punkinhead makes mistakes.

Yeah, and 88 million people aren’t out of work, either.

Not quite the 6% growth rate that tRump predicted. But maybe he has another big tax cut for the rich ready to go. Or maybe another big boost in military spending to get the economy going again.

The economy will bounce back after that moron, Powell, quits playing games.

And the economy hasn’t stalled, unlike it did under Dodd’s butt boy. I guess that’s the way it works.

Queer darkies stick together. With all the fecal matter on them, they haven’t got a choice.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Obama had 80 months of steady job growth and it continued at that same rate after Trump was inaugurated – but for only 25 months, so far. It’s safe to say trump has yet to crash the economy.

Your anal sex and feces fetishes are sick, but to each his own. Who are we to judge?

        Are you bragging or confessing?

Darkies? Why not be a man for once and say what you want to say? You’ve typed it here before. Why the cowardice now? What are you afraid of?

In what alternate space-time continuum was this?

Anybody who was out of work for more than 6 months was left out of his count of the workforce. That’s 88 million people.

You mean Negroes? Perfectly acceptable word, as is darkies. Used in many books and song titles such as Stephen Foster’s A Soldier In The Darky Brigade (Union man, y’know) to celebrate the men of the Corps D’Afrique.

You want me to say ni, as in, “Hedley, don’t you see that man is a ni?”? I’ve said it.

You like calling people names, but, oh, how sensitive you get when it comes back on you.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the 50s when people could be silenced by such an accusation.

            Earth, 21st century.

            https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Job_Growth_by_U.S.President-_v1.png

Unemployment rate ticked up to 3.6%. Manufacturing jobs decreased, restaurant and bar jobs increased.

You should drive some 35 mi north and courageously interview some Black men. “Boys, get over here a second. Do you prefer to be called ‘darkies’ or ‘n@ggers'”?

Aren’t you clever. You come up with that one all by yourself?

    No, I didn’t think so.

And, as I said, even God makes mistakes; all we have to do is look at you.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      MAGAt,

Interesting. What other mistakes has your god made?

Where do kids with cancer, kids starving to death, kids dying in burning houses, diabetes, suicide, heart disease, murder, torture, rape, wars, greed, envy fit into the plan? Are these more mistakes? It sounds like a powerless deity.

“Fear and worship me or you’ll be tormented for eternity!” What a deal.

“Punkinhead” was easy. Look at that giant orange head. A jack-o-lantern on the hoof.

      • formwiz says:

Not as many as your side.

In fact, some are even of the opinion Powell is coming over to Trump’s point of view. I shall, for the time being, maintain a tolerant skepticism.

No, God gives us intellect and free will to choose between right and wrong. Some, like your crowd, choose wrong. With faith, we can rise above our tribulations. Socialism, on the other hand, talks a good game, but accomplishes nothing. Witness LA.

        Or you.

“Fear and worship me or you’ll be tormented for eternity!” What a deal.

Sounds like living in San Fiasco.

“Punkinhead” was easy. Look at that giant orange head. A jack-o-lantern on the hoof.

Easy, but hardly original or even witty. And that giant orange head keeps outsmarting you.

And cloven hooves are more your thing. As always, in this world and the next, you will get yours.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Are you arguing that it’s children’s fault they get cancer and other diseases? Or die in a fire?

Commenter: As always, in this world and the next, you will get yours.

Our point exactly. Fundamentalists are driven by the schadenfreude of non-believers “getting theirs”. How Christ-like… Sad.

          • formwiz says:

Oh, this is about the chil’run. Well, how is it Trump’s fault?

We all get ours, some get their reward, some are punished, but there’s a lot of question where you end up. The Vestibule of Hell or which Circle – 5th, 6th, 8th, or 9th?

And it’s blasphemy to mock the Lord.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Diverting, commenter steals Rushbo’s line: this is about the chil’run

Yes. Why does your all-powerful god allow the suffering of innocent children? Is that part of the plan that mere humans can’t understand?

Fundamentalists allow their abject fears and hatreds to interfere with the “intellect and free will” supposedly given them by their god(s).

You delight in imagining the eternal punishment of those who don’t believe as you do. We’re all lucky that fundamentalist Christians believe this since it relieves the pressure to punish non-believers in real life. This differs from the violent Wahhabists.

  5. Professor Hale says:

Jeff’s complaints might carry more weight if he had supported Trump when the economy was at 4% growth. But since he has a long established pattern of complaining about Trump every day for three years, there is no reason to care what he has to say ion this.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

What part of “we have no interest in what you type” do you not understand? Oh well, if you insist.

The Perfesser believes the only reason to support or oppose a president is quarterly GDP growth? Seriously? One should support tRump 2Q18 but oppose him all the quarters when GDP growth was 2%? That makes no sense.

Trump in July (2018) touted the second quarter’s 4.1 percent growth and said that as “trade deals come in, one by one, we’re going to go a lot higher than these numbers.”

He boasted of coming 5% and 6% growth.

tRump’s tax cuts for the rich/corporations was supposed to increase business investment. It didn’t. But government spending is up. Debt is up. How conservative.

The lying and divisive hatemonger, tRump is Richard Nixon without Nixon’s “positive” qualities.

      • formwiz says:

He also didn’t know the Fed would try to undo the damage of the last Administration all at once.

And business investments have increased. Why do you think the market is so high? And thank the Demos for the spending. All that compassion, y’know.

And the only hatemongers are the Lefties.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

What did tRump’s Fed do to mess up tRump’s economy?

The President has to sign spending bills, y’know.

You think the market increase is relevant?

Under Obama’s leadership, the market more than doubled. Under tRump it’s increased less than 50%. And that’s before his recession.

      • You have no idea what I believe. Hint: I was talking about you, not to you.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

And we were pointing out your lack of reason and logic. We infer your beliefs from your illogical statements.

  6. John says:

    I blame Obama

  7. formwiz says:

Diverting, commenter steals Rushbo’s line: this is about the chil’run

Yes. Why does your all-powerful god allow the suffering of innocent children? Is that part of the plan that mere humans can’t understand?

As a matter of fact, it is. If you’re going to tell me how socialism just bleeds all over the floor for the chil’run, I’d ask why does socialism allow the gang-bangers and the drug pushers to run wild in all the socialist paradises like Detroit and Chiraq.

As I said, we have intellect and free will. We can control our lives. Some, like you, want to use yours for evil purposes. But, out of good people suffering, better things come. Society improves when good men see what bad men can do. That’s why the populist wave Trump inspired is sweeping the globe.

Fundamentalists allow their abject fears and hatreds to interfere with the “intellect and free will” supposedly given them by their god(s).

Actually, that’s you. The only fundamentalists you know believe in Lenin and Mao. They’re your gods.

    We have only one.

You delight in imagining the eternal punishment of those who don’t believe as you do. We’re all lucky that fundamentalist Christians believe this since it relieves the pressure to punish non-believers in real life. This differs from the violent Wahhabists.

Actually, I don’t give it a moment’s consideration. What happens to you is of no concern to me. You dealt your hand, I didn’t.

And the whole Uncle Saul thing is really over your head.

    Dow’s at 27,3.

Black unemployment is at an all-time low, 128,000 jobs added, 9 million more jobs added than Zippy.

And the GDP will go up.

  9. formwiz says:

My best guess is blithering idiot.
