Democrat House Passes Amnesty Bill For Dreamers, Other Illegals

This will go nowhere in the Senate, but it shows the priorities of the Democratic Party, which is to take care of those who are unlawfully present in the United States instead of taking care of U.S. citizens

HOUSE PASSES MASS AMNESTY BILL WHICH WOULD GIVE MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP

The House passed a vote Tuesday that would grant protection from deportation to illegal immigrants and give millions a path to permanent citizenship status.

The American Dream and Promise Act passed the House with a vote of 236-187. The legislation was brought forward by California Democratic Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard and will provide permanent status to illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as minors, as well as to those living in the U.S. under Temporary Protected Status, Newsweek reported.

This all comes as apprehensions of immigrants have increased every month since January. There have also been over 100,000 encounters at the southern border in both March and April, making it so the border crisis is on track to be the highest it has been in a decade.

The legislation would make it so 2.1 million immigrants “would be eligible under the measures for Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who arrived in the United States as children.”

Unsurprisingly, there are zero measures included meant to control the border or other methods of illegals showing up. This seems to be their version of a “clean bill”, which many Democrats have been calling for.

The House Judiciary Committee criticized Democrats for pushing the bill forward, listing a number of reasons why amnesty should not be granted to illegal immigrants.

“H.R. 6 would provide green cards to criminals, including gang members and people who committed potentially serious crimes as juveniles, with multiple DUI convictions and with misdemeanor firearms-related convictions. Dems are prioritizing mass amnesty over public safety,” The House Judiciary Committee also said in a tweet.

Trump has already threatened to veto the legislation, however, it’s doubtful that Mitch McConnell brings it to the Senate floor. Unless he wants to highlight during debate how unserious the Democrats are when it comes to stopping people from illegally coming to this country.

Dems really do want Trump re-elected in 2020. They are playing into his signature issue.

    • formwiz says:

They know they’re going to be fried next year.

The wit who said letting the Demos take the House was possibly Roger Stone’s dirtiest trick ever had it nailed.

  2. Kye says:

This is just another massive Democrat Socialist Party voter registration drive. Illegals, felons, rapists, pedophiles, murderers, fake ID and other fraudsters being ceremoniously welcome into the Party. Just think of all the new tax payer benefits they can receive and that the Dems for with votes!

Remember after the last amnesty where we were PROMISED it would be the LAST AMNESTY. See, the Dems don’t lie, they just change the name from “amnesty” to “dream and promise” and BINGO!, it’s not amnesty. .

Hell, many states like Californistan have “motor voter” registration where they give people here illegally the license to drive here legally and sign them up to vote Democrat illegally (psst, but there’s no voter fraud, wink, wink).

Nice way to spit in the face of all of those waiting and doing things the correct, LEGAL way.

    • Kye says:

Tell me about it, Nighthawk. My wife worked 12 years to become an American citizen and paid about $12k in legal fees. Bear in mind she arrived here 22 years ago as an executive on a work visa from a major Korean company with a college education and a fat bank account, not as some third world trash trying to get a dole off the American taxpayer. She hit the ground as a contributing, taxpaying, healthy American wannabe.

      • Nighthawk says:

My Daughter-In-Law is going through the process now. Came on a student Visa and just got her green card. No telling how much longer and how much money for her to get her citizenship.

        • Professor Hale says:

Nighthawks DiL and Kye’s wife must really be stupid. Coming to the USA is free. Just cross the border with a kid (doesn’t need to be yours) and claim asylum.

  4. Elwood P. Dowd says:

“The House on Tuesday passed a bill that would offer a path to citizenship to more than 2 million undocumented immigrants, including “dreamers” who were brought to the United States as children.

The vote was 237 to 187 for the American Dream and Promise Act of 2019, which would grant dreamers 10 years of legal residence status if they meet certain requirements. They would then receive permanent green cards after completing at least two years of higher education or military service, or after working for three years.”

Americans overwhelmingly favor protecting the “Dreamers”, giving them a path to citizenship.

“If Democrats were serious about immigration, they would do something about the humanitarian and national security crisis along our southern border, but Speaker Pelosi has chosen to spend the House’s time on H.R. 6, an expensive, partisan show vote,” House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) said in a statement.

      Which America is this?

Yours or the real one? The real one wants the illegals gone.

Besides, this will never make it past the Senate. This was put up just to make rubes like you keep beating the drum for a failed ideology.

If all this was so popular, why would you need to import instant welfare cases?

    • Dana says:

      Mr Dowd wrote:

Real Americans overwhelmingly oppose that. It is, I suppose, possible that liberals and homosexuals and welfare malingerers favor such, but their opinions are meaningless.

  5. Kye says:

“Americans overwhelmingly favor protecting the “Dreamers”, giving them a path to citizenship.”

It doesn’t matter what “Americans overwhelmingly favor” it matters what the LAW IS! If we don’t follow the law we have no country. Now I realize that’s exactly what you want but don’t try and use phony baloney push polls to ignore what is right for America. Illegal third world trash is not what’s good for America. Throw them all out!

It’s still okay to be white.

  6. Dana says:

Senator McConnell might well bring it to the floor for a vote . . . with an amendment which includes complete funding for the wall. That was the compromise President Trump wanted in the first place.

  7. formwiz says:

Just to keep the score, Mexico doesn’t want the 5% tariff and negotiations start Monday. Mexico will be expected to stop Dr Evil’s minions from using the country as a public transit system.

USA Today says Mexico has no idea how it will do it. This is the same Mexico that has some of the most Draconic immigration laws anywhere. Trump, meanwhile, is having a ball with Her Majesty in Blighty (as well as being reminded what happens to a country when the scum of the earth are allowed in en masse).

Further, ICE is going to start deporting families. Both real and all the fake ones.

That’s right, Operation Wetback II has begun!! Joy, joy!! Ring the church bells!

The original ran from 1954 – 62 and cleared the country of illegals. It had bipartisan support (notice Teddy Kennedy waited until his brother was dead to roll it back) and was an incredible success. Both Harry Truman and Herbert Hoover enacted similar policies, vetoed the McCarran-Walter Act to this end, to create more jobs for Americans (Democrats worried about jobs for Americans? whoda thunk?).

Whoever faces Trump next year is going to have to defend the illegals.

Using bunny suit’s worn out lies and soggy sob story cliches against Trump’s laying down the law to Mexico is going to make for delightful television.
