Quick Note On The Emoticons And Quick Tags

If you’ve enjoyed the special emoticons for the comments, well, you won’t be seeing anything other than the base ones you see right now. The plugin, called WP-Monalisa, will not allow for the uploading of the extra ones I added in, and believe me, I’ve tried. I can’t even deleted the plugin. Maybe things will change during the next update.

More: This update to WordPress has allowed the older quicktags (bold, link, italic, etc) to start working again. Only real big difference is allowing strikeouts, and the ability to use other HTML code to do things like changing the color of the font and such.

    Teach,

Does this have anything to do with having to login for every reply?

Been happening for the last several days (at least for me).

    Thanks,

    • Actually, it may have something to do with the new WordPress, if you’re actually logging in on the right sidebar. I thought I got rid of all the ability to login through Facebook, Google, etc. I see some backend stuff related to privacy policies from WordPress.

  2. Possibly. There was a problem getting it to upgrade to the latest WordPress, got forced through be Dreamhost on the backend.

How are you loging in initially? Just typing your name and email? Or clicking the login on the far right sidebar?

It no longer saves the username nor email and disappears after I hit submit comment.
It no longer auto fills after hitting first letter.
Has to be fully typed in again.
    Using Chrome on Android device…

    Teach,

Using chrome on desktop does autofill after typing first letter.

But won’t stay logged in after submit.

      • Gotta have something to do with the privacy rules and cookies for WP, due to EU rules. I might see about implementing something to allow login via facebook, Twitter, etc. The built in Jetpack one doesn’t seem to work. You can also login via a WordPress.com account.
