Here’s a super great idea from the Washington Post’s uber-left wing Jonathan Alter: getting companies to boycott states that uphold the principles of the 2nd Amendment. Funny how he doesn’t recommend that companies boycott Democratic Party run cities/jurisdictions that have tons of gun restrictions yet have tons of gun violence, to go along with all the other violence and property crime
It’s time for companies to boycott gun-lax states
Even if Congress takes action on the bump stocks or other modifications used by the mass murderer in Las Vegas, Washington will not be the center of change on gun violence. The president and Congress are owned by the NRA, and public attention will soon shift away from the latest massacre, as it always does.
But there’s reason for hope in states that are hungry to keep and attract business, which means every state in the union. Gun safety advocates should take heart from the backlash against bathroom bills and other anti-gay laws in red states. The institutions that stood up in those fights — from Apple to the NCAA — offer a path forward.
Corporations have a moral and fiduciary duty to enhance the safety of their workplaces and other venues they use. When mass shootings were rare, they weren’t as much of a concern. Now that they’re a common occurrence, the calculus for locating businesses, conventions, sporting events and concerts must change. Companies cannot fully guarantee the safety of their employees and customers anywhere, but risks are clearly greater in “gun lax†states.
Interestingly, if you look at the graphic of where the shootings have occurred over the last 50 years, you see a pattern of them being in mostly Democratic Party run areas and/or done by a Democratic party supporter or Islamist.
And places that are gun free zones. It’s weird how criminals with murder on their minds do not follow the law, right?
Those states should now be faced with a choice: They can have assault weapons and gun show loopholes. Or they can have good jobs and events from responsible corporations. But they can’t have both.
And then they’ll look at the violent and property crimes rates, and realize that Democratic Party run areas are more dangerous.
Imagine if chief executives looking out for the safety of their employees and conference attendees announced that they would locate new facilities and hold conventions, concerts and other gatherings only in “gun responsible†states (which different companies could define differently). We might see activity overnight in several state legislatures.
Doubtful. The companies are in the business of making money, and the terms, cost of living, and so forth tend to be better in the areas that love the 2nd Amendment.
The NRA and its toadies say that no law could have definitively prevented this or any other massacre. This is a dodge: Traffic laws don’t prevent all car crashes or air bags all deaths in those accidents. But they help. If the carnage in Las Vegas prompts even a few more state experiments, something good may yet come from this evil.
The “toadies” would be the citizens of the United States who believe in the Bill Of Rights, and, let’s not forget that Senator Dianne Feinstein said that no gun laws would have stopped the Las Vegas shooter. And let’s not forget that, once again, this is all aimed at the law abiding gun owners, not the people who would use guns in a criminal manner.
Perhaps the right should consider boycotting Hollywood and MSM. Stop watching CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC. Stop buying left wing newspapers. Stop buying products that are advertised on those stations or sold in those papers.
I propose a new website be set up to inform all conservatives as to what is NEUTRAL. As in not political. I don’t care if liberals and conservatives purchase the same products as long as their is not a political agenda behind the sell of such products.
Stop Buying Apple Phones. Stop using Microsoft. Stop buying any computer that uses either windows or apple OS. Stop using cell phones which are run either by Apple or Microsoft or Google. Any conservative that uses Google or Amazon or Apple is not too bright. They are probably three of the biggest offenders on the planet of conservative values.
Now having said that. The above is an example and not meant to be taken seriously. I am opposed to this type of action but its basically what this clown at the Newspaper is proposing.
Because some one lives in Utah they are to be punished because a majority of the state believes x? Really is that what your constitution calls for? The pursuit of happiness now must be defined by the communists. Any activity must be condoned by a collective>? Does this sound familiar?
People really don’t understand communism since the USSR collapsed. They have forgotten how sinister it all is. The collapse of the USSR along with the rise of China industrially has actually increased the spread of communism throughout the world rather then contained or defeated it.
New Zealand for example threw America out of its country. New Zealand. Why? Because they would use the ports there that had nuclear weapons on board. Once an investigation into this was launched it was discovered that a very sinister third rail was underway in New Zealand to undermine its democracy. This was but the first step in a long and arduous journey into retooling the thinking of an entire population. Take your children and retrain them to believe that Democracy is bad. Capitalism is bad. Wester Culture is bad and your well on your way to taking over the world.

Currently in your own Senate there are 20 senators as well as 95 house of Representatives are part of either the communist party or the socialist party or affiliated and endorsed by them.
That is more then half your democrats and nearly half your democratic senators.
In the meantime the left is throwing fits, rioting in the streets and calling Trump Hitler because they lost the election. Why was the presidential election so important to them? The Supreme court as well as the president runs the government. He can put Bureaucrats into positions of power that have conservative ideals that would slow the pace of infiltration by communism.
Why are most of the radical colleges located in Blue states. Because the Deans and Chancellors are appointed by Liberal state governments. Why are all the truly radical newspapers located in Blue States? Ny Times, Washington Post, LA Times.
Why is the left so adamant about allowing all of these illegals from South America into the USA without so much as a how do you do? Because they all come from SOCIALIST SOUTH AMERICA. There is a plan afoot and a war being fought and the Right forgot to recruit for it or for that matter even show up.

I had a patient get mad because I told him he could only have a limited amount of pain pills as specified by his government. He said he was going to kill me and my family. I called my wife to warn her and she had already been called by the guy to establish our address. I called the police and they said that was tough luck as they could not do a thing until we were murdered. I thanked them but told them I was trying to save the life of the patient as he was clearly going to die, either by me or my wife, she does not fool around. So no matter what our idiot politicians do we will be well armed and supplied.

The current conservative Supreme Court refused to take two cases that appeared to limit the 2nd Amendment rights of patriots.
In one, San Diego required gun owners to justify their need to carry their firearms outside the home. In the other, gun owners in PA challenged laws keeping felons and some with misdemeanor convictions from possessing firearms.
And didn’t States v. Miller, 307 U.S. 174 (1939) conclude that states could regulate types of firearms?
That’s utter nonsense.
A rigorously enforced ban on all guns would have stopped him (we do not endorse such a ban). Granted he could throw knives from the hotel, but it is much less likely he would have killed as many.
A rigorously enforced ban on semi-automatic weapons would have reduced the carnage. A bolt-action Remington 700 with 4 shot magazines would have slowed him down, giving the innocent victims more time to flee. Oswalt only killed one with his mail order, bolt-action Carcano.
