Woman Who Holds No Press Conferences Wants Press To “Hold Me Accountable”

Alternate headline: “Woman who attempted to hide all her communication with a private, non-sanctioned email server wants press to hold her accountable.” We could surely discuss things like her foundation, as well.

(The Hill) Hillary Clinton fielded questions from a group of black and Latino journalists on Friday, insisting that immigration reform will be a top priority if she’s elected president.

But the Democratic nominee warned that action on comprehensive immigration reform would depend on her political capital — which she said would only be as strong as her electoral mandate.

“We are hoping the outcome of the election will send a clear message to our Republican friends that it’s time to stop standing in the way,” Clinton told the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

“I want you to hold me accountable, because the stakes are as high as they’ve ever been in our lifetime,” she told the gathering, before taking questions.

This is a woman who hasn’t had a press conference yet this year, though her people quibble with that, saying that fielding questions from a whopping two journalists serving as moderators at the above even counted as a press conference. Of course, she sorta takes questions, mostly from friendly journalists, here and there, and in one on one interviews with, again, mostly friendly journalists.

But, being held accountable? If she wanted to be held accountable, she’d step down as the Dem Party presidential candidate. She knows she did wrong. She tried to obfuscate and stall inquiries into her server and what happened in Benghazi. She lied to the families of those killed in Benghazi.

Nor will the majority of the media hold her accountable. Most are voting for her. They want her to be president. Even if the GOP had a decent candidate, they’d still be voting Hillary. They themselves worked hard to cover up the email server and what happened in Benghazi. Few even bother with investigating her foundation. They are in the bag.

We get it. Black and Latino journalists do not count in conservaworld. Your hood is showing.

Yep, there’s not been enough media, Congressional or right-wing scrutiny of Secretary Clinton over the past few decades, LOL.

The American right controls the most successful cable news station in history, the House of Representatives, the Senate, a vast network of right-wing radio shows, “research” institutes, think tanks, papers and blogs, billions of dollars of right wing support and now have a comrade in the Russian dictator. Why hasn’t the right wing machine been able to dissuade the mass of Americans that former Senator and Secretary Clinton is unfit to be President? Why haven’t they, at long last, found that smoking gun?

Benghazi!! Emails!! You shout and few pay attention. Why? Because you nominated Donald J. Trump as your candidate. Blame your movement of crazies, not the media.

The voters will decide in November.

In her remarks on Friday, Clinton clarified that she had been referring only to the answers she gave to the FBI in their investigation.

Well now, that clears that up. R-rrrrright.

“Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain of the emails.”

That’s wrong and she knows it, which makes it a lie.

    from the Atlantic essay:

And yet, in my mind, the case against Clinton is not as disturbing as Trump’s mendacity, megalomania, intolerance, and intellectual slovenliness. With Clinton and Trump, the two most unpopular presidential candidates in the modern era, there is no equivalence.

I’m angry at Clinton because I expect better. The country needs better. I say again: If Trump becomes president, the world will have Clinton to blame.

That’s only partly correct. We must also blame those who put Trump in this position, i.e., the Trump voters.

Conservative reporter Ron Fournier (a Karl Rove cheerleader) has had a bone to pick with the Clintons (and Dems in general) since his Arkansas days.

Yet, even Fournier prefers Secretary Clinton over Trump.

    Why is that?

  7. Jeffery says:

Did you watch Trump’s “endorsements” of Ryan, McCain and Ayotte? He read them with all the enthusiasm of a POW forced to read a statement, LOL.

How long can The Donald keep up acting almost normal? Time will tell! Usually it’s one day at a time!

“Black and Latino journalists don’t count …your hood is showing.” We see J hasn’t given up on his Drama Queen routine. From the Huff and Puff article, it said there were 5 “pre-selected” journalists, and surprise, surprise represented only demographics that would vote her way. Hardly a press conference. But nice try, J.

The chairman of the American Nazi Party, Rocky Suhayda, declared on his radio program last month that a Donald Trump victory would present a great opportunity for white nationalists to build pro-white coalitions.

Trump has the American Nazis, Putin, David Duke, Kim Jung Un and the Klan.
