Thank Goodness, We Finally Have The Mom View Of ‘Climate Change’

We can now rest easy, as Cara Fleischer shares her view

Climate change – a mom’s view

As a mom of school-aged children in Tallahassee, I feel called to share my excitement for the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change and its message of hope. Finally, some good news!

Thirteen years ago my life changed when I became a mom, and I realized that my husband and I would do everything we could to protect that beautiful baby girl in our arms. One awful day, our baby daughter began gasping for breath, and we learned she was developing asthma. The doctor told us it was common because Atlanta’s smog could be as bad as Mexico City’s. Whoa. I started paying attention to the smog alerts on the radio, TV and highways, and fear crept in with every Code Red and Code Purple alert. What was causing it? I learned that it was too many cars, power plants and factories pumping carbon into the air.

Um, no. While cars, power plants, and factories are major contributors to smog, smog is not “carbon”, an unscientific way to refer to carbon dioxide. Hey, don’t believe me, believe the EPA

Cars and trucks that combust fuel also emit smog forming emissions, such as nitrogen oxide, non-methane organic gases, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, and formaldehyde.

The Cult of Climastrology is pushing un-scientific propaganda, and they’re all too brainwashed to know it. BTW, does Ms. Fleischer own a fossil fueled vehicle? Does she use energy? Purchase consumer goods? Then, according to her foolish talking point, she’s at fault.

We have moved back to our home town of Tallahassee and love sharing the beauty of this place with our children by playing outside under great live oaks, kayaking on our little lake in Killearn, and spending time on St. George Island. But I couldn’t unlearn what I knew about carbon and climate change.

All parents want to provide a safe place for our children to grow, live and to reach their God-given potential, but by no fault of their own, their future is threatened by the effects of climate change. We read stories about epic storms and their human toll, droughts that turn fertile land into deserts, and California water reserves drying up. We see images of skinny polar bears and melting arctic ice, bleached coral and dying oceans. And closer to home, we hear about sunny-day flooding in Miami Beach, experience record high temperatures and prepare for super storms. It’s no wonder busy parents just tune it all out and hope for the best – a feeling of helplessness has set in.

Maybe she should unlearn it all, because she was wrong about smog, and pretty much wrong on everything else. Of course, after learning all this (false propaganda) information, she immediate went out and changed her own life, right? Right?

I found a local nonpartisan group called Citizens’ Climate Lobby that focuses on solutions, and have been inspired to help. I invite you to have hope, tune in and stand up for our kids’ future. Come to a CCL meeting and learn how to encourage our leaders to move toward clean energy with a Carbon Fee Dividend program.

Nope. She wants to force Everyone Else to practice what she preaches. All based on lies. This is what Skeptics are fighting against. We would prefer to focus on the real problems. In the case of smog, yes, let’s look for ways to deal with this real environmental and health issue. Great strides have been made over the past 40 years. Warmists would throw it all away by focusing an dogmatic junk science.

Attacking a young mother for worrying about her child. “She called air pollution “carbon! Stupid girl!”

    Nice work.

This young mother knows more about global warming than you, or other Deniers, do. She recognizes that the actions we take today influences the world we leave others, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  2. Dana says:

Her biggest lie was when she wrote, “I found a local nonpartisan group called Citizens’ Climate Lobby . . . .” No, groups like that are not non-partisan, not non-partisan in the slightest!

They are like the old Women’s Christian Temperance Union of before Prohibition: they are not happy with doing things themselves to save Mother Gaia, any more than the WCTU was satisfied with not drinking alcohol themselves. They must, must! force others to comply.

  3. gitarcarver says:

    Nice work.

She is not being attacked for “caring about her children.” She took the time to bring her false views and opinions into the public space and those views are being examined.

It is typical of those on the left to misrepresent what is being said as Jeffery has done here. It is clear that people of his ilk believe that the cause is greater than the truth. Anyone who believes in the cause must not have their opinions examined. Anyone who comments on the falsity of those comments must be silenced.

Such is the liberal belief system.

  4. LIAR! On it’s worst day, Atlanta was never like Mexico City. Even when it was on fire in 1865.

  5. Jeffery says:

William didn’t identify mistruths from the young mother. He nit-picked (as conservatives are wont to do – remember clips vs magazines?) to demean her and her message. It’s just another ad hominem attack. Then he recycles his desperate and childish “she ain’t perfect, therefore she’s wrong” meme. If a young mother and her child don’t live in a cave, she’s not allowed to express her opinion.

She is right. You are wrong.

In fact, most of the molecules present in smog are carbon-based. Organic molecules, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide… all carbon-based. Of the listed constituents only the nitrogen oxides are not. So young mom was more right than wrong, as opposed to Deniers. And certainly these exacerbate her child’s asthma.

CO2 is also carbon-based and is from largely the same source as all the above, i.e., burning fossil fuels. CO2 is causing the Earth to warm and this threatens young mom’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

You must be reading a different version of the post than the rest of us. Of maybe you just continue your tradition of sticking your head in the ground when people say things with which you disagree.

    remember clips vs magazines?

Yes. How you think that someone trying to explain how and why guns are bad and misidentifying parts of weapons while trying to sound important and an expert is not relevant is beyond the scope of the logic of most people.

she’s not allowed to express her opinion.

Funny, that is usually the view of liberals. With you, it is always projection.

The strange thing is that no one has said the woman cannot offer her opinion. That’s just a lie made up by you. Yet you want to attack someone for commenting on her opinion.

In your warped world, an opinion with which you agree must be true. To write something contrary to that opinion must be banned and stopped.

Face it Jeffery, you hate freedom.

No, not at all. Jeffrey doesn’t hate his freedom, not in the slightest. Nor does he hate the freedom of people who agree with him. He only hates the freedom of those who don’t agree with him.

Remember: if it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.

  8. drowningpuppies says:

Cara Fleischer, misguided and uninformed as she is, is still a better mom than hillary.

  9. Jeffery says:

Is that your criteria? A tiny error invalidates an entire argument? Are YOU sure YOU want to go there? Every time one of your lies is corrected (by others, not by YOU), YOU run and hide for a few days, until William’s post-a-day buries it.

William was just using another ad hominem tactic and distraction.

She was right. You, William et al are wrong. The world knows it, only the American right doesn’t recognize this reality because it contradicts their cult’s world-view. When conservative’s beliefs are challenged by evidence, conservatives side with their beliefs.

Our burning of fossil-fuels is causing the Earth to warm. Cara Fleischer recognizes this and is worried for the future.

  10. gitarcarver says:

A tiny error invalidates an entire argument?

If that were the criteria, you would never say anything truthful as you screw up all the time and just attack people. Furthermore, anytime a conservative here makes a small mistake, you jump on it and condemn them. Between you and your buddy john, you make more lies and mistakes than the rest of us combined but yet you stay silent on those lies.

    I wonder why that is?

Every time one of your lies is corrected ….

Well, let’s go to the videotape, shall we?

In this thread, you accused me and drowning puppies of making up stories.

You didn’t attack the facts, you attacked the messengers. So when the facts came to light, your great response was

    You suck.

William was just using another ad hominem tactic and distraction.

If you want to start talking about people using ad hominem attacks, you should do two things. First, you should look up the definition of the term because the original post doesn’t come close to a ad hominem attack.

Secondly, you should hold yourself to the same standard you want from others. Your attacks on names and people is a characteristic of your so called “debating skills.” You won’t tone down the attacks you make on others and yet feel fine doing what you condemn.

    She was right.

    All facts to the contrary.

One of your favorite tricks it to say to people “what would convince you of AGW?” When you are shown evidence against AGW, you stick your lead in the ground. You can’t handle any facts that go against your system of cultish beliefs.

  12. Jeffery says:

close to a ad hominem attack

“a” ad hominem attack?? Sorry, nothing else you typed can be considered. You’ve made an error.

  13. drowningpuppies says:

Kinda like Reagan invading Panama, huh?

  14. Jeffery says:

Kinda like Reagan invading Panama, huh?

You keep claiming that Reagan invaded Panama. Why?

  15. drowningpuppies says:

That was your claim, little one. You’re losing it.

  16. gitarcarver says:

“a” ad hominem attack?? Sorry, nothing else you typed can be considered. You’ve made an error.

What a shocker. Jeffery is now a grammar Nazi.

Run away li’l boy. Run away.

  17. Jeffery says:

    gitarfluffer and puppycraver,

You two made the errors, not me. Live with them.

So you won’t forget: The Earth is warming because of the carbon pollution we keep adding to the atmosphere.
