Whew! Holdren States “Climate Change” Holding Off Next Ice Age

Uh huh

(IBD) The president’s science czar, who once said there are too many people and advocated sterilizing people through drinking water, says at least human activity is preventing the ice age that we’d been warned about.

A tenet of global warming theology, now dubbed “climate change” to cover everything that used to be called weather, is that man is warming the Earth by manufacturing and exhaling carbon dioxide and that one of the consequences, and the theme of the science-fiction movie “Day After Tomorrow,” is that said warming could trigger a new ice age.

John Holdren, who holds the title of assistant to the president for science and technology, shares this view as well.

But in a recent online question-and-answer session in which he fielded queries from the public, he let slip the seeming contradiction that without the influence of man and his industrial activities, the Earth would probably be slipping into a cyclical ice age all on its own, just like the last one.

“While the climate of the Earth has changed over millennia as a result of natural factors — principally changes in the tilt and orientation of the Earth’s axis and rotation, and in the shape of its orbit around the sun — those changes occur far too gradually to have noticeable effects over a period of mere decades,” Holdren said on a video obtained by MRC-TV.

Anything to keep the cult alive.

  1. john says:

Teach when you use the word cult you insult all those who believe that the climate is changing: this would include all branches of the US military and the Pope. Is that really necessary for you to do?

    http://dailycaller.com/2014/05/22/republicans-can-change-the-debate-on-climate-change/
Most mainstream Republicans do not support your view
If the GOP nominates in 2016 someone who does hold a similar view b they will be toast

  2. john says:

looks like New York City will hit 50 today.
and it is still looking like we are going to hit a world record (again) for hottest year on record which will somehow “prove” that the PAUSE continues

  3. Jeffery says:

Indeed, the Republicans understand the truth about global warming, and will adjust their stance based on political expediency. When they return to their sensible pre-2008 stance, they’ll abandon their Denier followists.

And the pause continues in the Midwest with more record highs (58 in St. Louis right now).

  4. Jeffery says:

Either the editorial writers at IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease, oops, Investor’s Business Daily) are ignorant or just lying to you.

The Earth was in a very gradual cooling phase for the past 5000 yrs or so, dropping about 1C during that time. In the past 100 yrs we’ve rapidly warmed 1C and the trend continues up.

Based on the cyclical changes in the Earth’s orbit we would normally expect an ice age in a few 10s of thousands of years.

They’re lying to you when they claim it’s been cooling since 1998.

Deniers have no reason to worry or be happy, since global warming is a hoax, and no actions of humankind can change the trajectory of the Earth’s warming or cooling. Deniers claim the warming they Deny will now save us from an ice age. Deniers have no shame.

  5. Thanks a lot Johnfor the wonderful hint, possibly non-developers like us can pull this off: )This is absolutely necessary for some sort of multi-international site in terms of SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION.

  6. jl says:

John-“Teach when you use the word cult you insult all those who believe the climate is changing.” John, when you comment here you usually insult all those with a brain. We all believe in climate change, John, just not what’s causing it-he said, again, for about the hundredth time. Instead of “cult” would “hysteric” be ok?

  7. jl says:

J-“Deniers say the warming they deny will save us from an ice age.” No, it’s Holdren who said that, J, not us. It’s all in plain text above if you care to go over it again. I’ll re-phrase it for you how it actually should go: “Global warming hysterics, becoming more desperate every day to keep their hoax alive, quote John Holdren. Thereby illustrating why they’re thought hysterical and desperate.

  8. Jeffery says:

We all believe in climate change, John, just not what’s causing it

    What is causing it?

  9. Jeffery says:

America is suffering greatly right now from the tyranny of the super wealthy and their minions in Washington.

Do you see a 2nd Amendment solution? If not, why not?

  10. gitarcarver says:

    What is causing it?

And here again we see the hubris of the Warmist cuilt. Despite this question having been asked by Jeffery before and answered by many, he still refuses to either remember the answers or just deny the validity of the answers. Instead, he cultishly holds onto his beliefs despite the evidence against him.

Tell us all Jeffery, are you saying that we know everything there is to know about climate and the factors that impact it?

Do you see a 2nd Amendment solution? If not, why not?

I know the thought of people actually defending their rights scares the hell out of you Jeffery. You would rather keep people oppressed and not allow them to enjoy their God given freedoms and rights. You would rather hate blacks than love all races. You would rather hate people of other creeds than accept them. You would rather continue the left’s attack on the rights and freedoms of women.

You hate the Second Amendment because deep in your heart, you hate freedom.

  11. Jeffery says:

What is causing global warming? It’s a simple question with a simple answer, yet you refuse.

And whom do you shoot and when? It’s also a simple question with a simple answer, yet you refuse.

When is enough, enough, and we let fly at the tyrants? Should we have dragged war criminals Cheney and Bush out of the White House and shot them on the lawn? Or is that ignominy reserved for the current tyrant?

The Supreme Court has ruled that Americans have a right to arms without specification or limit to why and here we abide by the rule of law. You can use a pistol to shoot tyrants, shoot deer and squirrels and California condors, yourself in the head, hammer nails, collect, for nothing at all, shoot green bean cans, shoot tentacled alien invaders, shoot alien invaders who have shape-shifted to assume human form, defend yourself from criminals (but not criminal police), accidentally shoot your toddler, impress folks by walking downtown packin’ (if you’re white – Black folks get shot by the State if they carry even toy guns). (An aside – shouldn’t all young Black men carry to defend themselves from the tyranny of the State that seems intent on either shooting or incarcerating them? Or does the 2nd Amendment have limits based on melanin? Read your precious Cruikshank for the answer.)

Young Black men often have to make life or death decisions about shooting tyrants of the State intent on taking their most precious right, their life.

But how do you decide when you should shoot a tyrant? If the State tightens regulations on the import of caviar? Green bean cans have no rights, so we can shoot them willy-nilly. Tentacled aliens have no rights here (that I know of) so you can shoot them too. But even accused tyrants have rights, so how do you decide when to shoot them?

The far-right extremists are most concerned about government leftists taking their guns and subjugating them, making them work in iPhone factories without break like the Chinese, and making them wear motorcycle helmets and making them pay for roads and schools. Freedom! Putting limits on the times of the year to harvest fresh venison and bison for their families. Freedom! Vaccinating children. Freedom! Making them have photo IDs. Freedom!

We’re in favor of Americans having guns. We have about 20 here. There are 100s of millions of guns in the US and they are not going away.

All we’re asking is how do you know it’s time to shoot a tyrant?

    Jeff,
You really do need some help. It is obvious from your comments that you are not right with the world. It is also useless trying to educate you on the many issues of which you are lacking in knowledge as you will not listen or read.

  13. Jeffery says:

    dave,

Thank you for your concern. I wish someone here – Teach or a commenter would type something worth learning or knowing. Mostly just insults and regurgitated rightist talking points. Never making arguments.
