Warmist Links Capitalism And Hotcoldwetdry

Is anyone surprised that a Warmists dislikes capitalism (for others, of course. They want money and stuff for themselves). In the Grist article, entitled How capitalism stacks the deck on disaster, New Climate Denier Steve Fraser tells us all about the Evils of Wall Street, the insurance industry, and capitalism while discussing Superstorm Sandy and other natural disasters (which, of course, he says aren’t natural). It’s full of typical Warmist/Progressive complaints, blaming fossil fuels while avoiding blaming all the Warmists who buy fossil fueled vehicles, lots and lots of ginned up racism, class envy, etc, and ends thusly

More Sandys are surely headed our way, more climate-driven disasters of all sorts than we can now fully imagine. And rest assured, they will be no more “natural” than the Chicago fire, the Johnstown flood, or the San Francisco earthquake. More than fire itself what we need to deal with now is the power of the finance, insurance, and real estate — or FIRE — sector whose leading corporations now effectively run our economy. Without doing that, the “nature” these interests have helped create will punish us all while providing a ghoulish boondoggle for a few.

So, we apparently need to Do Something about these industries, probably something like nationalizing them. Strange that the author forgot to tell us what we are Supposed To Do, surely because these far left Progressives don’t like to usually give away what their true goals are.

I’m sorry, but is it me? But I am having a real hard time understanding what he is trying to say.

And rest assured, they will be no more “natural” than the Chicago fire, the Johnstown flood, or the San Francisco earthquake.

First, wasnt the Johnstown flood like before 1900 and was because a dam failed? How was driving an SUV responsible for that?

    Which Chicago Fire?
Which San Fran Earthquake? And are we still trying to push the meme that breathing causes earthquakes? dear god! how far our schools have fallen. What’s next, sneezing causes Gibbous Moons?

More than fire itself what we need to deal with now is the power of the finance, insurance, and real estate — or FIRE — sector whose leading corporations now effectively run our economy.

Now that we have fire under control, let’s go after those people that protect you from the damages of fire. damn them. it’s almost like they set the fires on our earthquakes in order to force themselves to pay out payments.

and isn’t what he is saying is.. “More than fire itself what we need to deal with now is — FIRE” ? WTH!?!?!?!?

Without doing that, the “nature” these interests have helped create will punish us all

ok, I give up. Just shoot me. There are too many of them. they’ve invaded us, surrounded us and are now breeding.
    GOD help us all!

We need to stop real estate companies from creating fire that leads to earthquakes like the one that damaged everything.

(wasn’t this a scifi channel movie?)

  2. Let me get this straight : you’re trying to make sense of the ramblings of a Warmists?

    I… I was… I … I

    (sigh)

  4. Dana says:

I hope that the warmists don’t think that nationalizing industries would help; no one belched crap into the atmosphere and the water and the land more than the state-owned and run industries of the USSR and Communist China!

  5. gumball_brains says:

But that is ancient ancient history, Dana. And besides, it wasn’t THESE socialists that were running things. THESE socialists can do better.
