Just imagine a Republican did this (via Twitchy, and, yeah, I heard him say this on TV while I was walking through the breakroom at work)
QFE: “We grieve the loss of Ambassador Christopher Smith.” – Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), Ranking Member, House Oversight & Reform Committee
— Adam Baldwin (@adamsbaldwin) October 10, 2012
Google news shows no sources other than Twitchy. Nothing at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, or Politico at the time of this post. Think a Republican would have gotten away with this?
Meanwhile, Jackass Woods made more unicorn* statements
House Democrats opened Wednesday’s House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing by attacking Republicans for cuts to embassy security funding — cuts that only happened thanks to overwhelming support from House Democrats, including House Oversight Committee Ranking Democratic member Rep. Elijah Cummings. In fact, more House Democrats – 149 of them — voted for the cuts than did House Republicans, of which 147 voted for them.
Oops!
*fantasy world.
I’m going there, so scratch ur eyes out now. The combined IQ’s of Cummings, Waters, & Rangel would likely cause frostbite. It’s comforting to know that adding Reid’s & Pelosi’s would still cause hypothermia.
heh.
Too bad we lost Stevens. Sure would be nice to know where he went off to. Sucks to just lose people.
Also, there is a big difference between Embassy funding and providing military security and increased defenses.
There is a big difference in the funding of paperclips and sticky notes, and yelling at those requesting protection from heavily armed angry mobs for daring to even request protection.
I can’t say this enough: If you want the abuse, lies, and obfuscation by this media to stop, you have to disconnect yourselves from it. In other words, CANCEL YOUR CABLE TV. Then, throw your TV out. You DON’T need football. You’ll live. Spend time with your family. At the very least, cancel the cable. Otherwise, don’t complain.
COMMUNIST!!!!!!
Telling us red-blooded Americans to give up our football. GAHH!!!!
Don’t make me throw a Hail Mary on ya.
I have given up cable and satellite. But, I could never give up my ever faithful football. Besides, who needs family when you got football buddies a couple times a week?
Shame on the Daily Caller because later in the hearing both Charlene Lamb and Patrick Kennedy both said the funding or lack of funding had nothing to do with the State Department turning down the request for additional security. The commander in Iraq offered the station additional support but that wasn’t approved. Furtermore, a SST was pulled from the station at the time when the embassy was asking for more security.
The administration screwed the camel on the security issue and was too worried about Big Bird to admit they lied in the aftermath.
The best question of the day had to have been from a Representative from South Carolina (sorry, don’t remember his name) who asked Kennedy and Lamb “you had 231 acts of violence in ten months and you decided that number wasn’t a reason for listening to the people in Libya to increase security. What number of incidents would it have taken to increase security?”
The other devestating blow was Charlene Lamb saying the State Department was monitoring the situation through communication with the people in Libya in real time but 5 days later the administration was still saying the incident started over a video.
That didn’t pass the smell test either.
Wow Gummie sort of sounds like your life sucks so much that your family can’t stand to bround you. As far as the Dems voting for that bill it was written by the majority party AND it did contain things that the Dems thought were neeeded. It was sigas a compromise bill, something that Republicans seem to have forgotten how to do but which has served our national interests quite well in the past.
blah blah blah racist blah blah bigot blah blah antisemite blah blah blah racist blah blah incoherent blah willfully ignorant blah blah blah
Hmm, seems like it was a bipartisan bill. Both sides got almost 150 votes against.
