Aww, Poor Little Climate Alarmists Are Concerned About Burnout

If they were intellectually honest and practiced real science, they wouldn’t have these “climate trauma” issues (hover over the permalink. It is different, and funnier, than the current stories headline)

……..I and many other people around the world are suffering from “Climate Trauma.” It’s my own term. I am not a mental health professional, but I can identify plain as day the symptoms I recognize in myself and in my colleagues traumatized by our work to tackle climate change. And these symptoms are of course different from, but related to, the much deeper trauma of those who are already being directly impacted by climate change, whether through dislocation, drought, or the death of a loved one:

And what are a few? The first two are “Anxiety and stress” and “Fear and hopelessness”, standard for those on the left, then we get

A parallel universe: We often feel like we are living in a parallel universe. Don’t people see that we are headed straight off a cliff? How could they possibly continue to argue that there is legitimate dispute about whether or not the planet is warming? How could the ones who know that it is warming leave all their incandescent bulbs on? Leave their SUV idling? Blast the heat and open the windows? Toss their water bottle in the trash? And sit out this fight of a lifetime, this fight for our lives? We are obsessed and alone and sometimes we or our loved ones literally have to ban the topic from conversation rather than repeat ourselves again. And again. And again.

Make sure you start raising your mental voice while reading the above excerpt, and throw in a few shrieks and screams to boot.

Depression, irritability, and anger: Flip sides of the same coin, we find ourselves alternately depressed, irritable, or angry. Who wouldn’t under the circumstances? But these symptoms only get in our way, and diminish our power to be the leaders we must be to confront the greatest challenge of our generation, and perhaps of all time in life on this precious planet we call home. We need each other — our colleagues, our teams, and the people who love us — to keep on keeping on.

Again, nothing abnormal from lefties. In fact, those seem to be standard issue for lefties.

  • Get out of doors as much as possible — connect with the forces that drive you and give yourself up to the beauty of nature in the present. Your energy to continue the battle will be rejuvenated. (um, as much as we like Star Wars, The Force is not real. Nor what happened in Avatar. Perhaps a little less THC in your diet, OK?)
  • Remember that you are not alone. There are lots of other people who may be just as traumatized as you are — they just aren’t talking about it. Some people are distracted by jobs that don’t constantly expose them to the realities. Unlike you, they can get away from it for a while. (in other words, bond with other raving nutjobs, rather than seeking out people who are stable.)

As much as I’d like to continue excerpting and laughing, Real Life calls. Check out the whole thing for your afternoon chuckle.

  1. David says:

I read the comments associted with the referenced article and actually found a solution that is on the web which would have a meaningful impact on global climate change. That is volutary human extinction. Imagine if all the liberals and intellectuals who believe in this junk science were to commit mass suicide. It would solve all the world’s problems. We would be left with fewer people, which if you believe in this science is the main problem and we would have naturally selected the more productive and intellectual of our population. They actually have a web site and it would be wise to refer all liberals and progressives to that concept.

  2. Otter says:

I love nature. I’ve got half the Appalachian Trail under my belt and hope to get the rest finished someday.

I spent seven years as a volunteer at the Otter Habitat in York Haven, PA. Working with the otters was a blast, they are my favorite creatures.

And I have a degree in Geology.

All of the above play a Huge role in wanting to see the hystericycsts NOT f**k over the world with geo-engineered fixes based on absolutely Worthless computer models which can’t even get the effect of water vapour and clouds, correctly figured into their calculations, let alone CO2.

I could go on like this for quite some time, but I have other articles to read this evening.

  3. One of the probs is that these climate alarmists have take every bit of environmentalism and subsumed it into their crazy, feelings base religion.
