Twitter For iPhone

Just wondering, what do other people use to Tweet from their iPhone? I have tried 3 different free apps, TwitterFon, Twitterific, and the new TweetDeck.

TwitterFon:

Good: the easiest of all to see. New tweets are highlighted in light blue, mentions are highlighted in light yellow, the rest of the colors are bright, the font size is not too small, but allows one to see more tweets than the other programs. Mentions and DM’s are mentioned in the bottom bar. Easy to save, reply, and retweet.

Bad: no ability to shorten the URL. Looks like the paid version might do that, though. Not quite sure. Photo’s go right to YFrog, no choice of sending to TwitPic. No multiple accounts (nice for those who have a personal and a blogger/business account.)

Twitterific:

Good: Easy to read. Ability to shorten URL’s, do text compression. Save, retweet, DM, and reply is easy. Multiple account capability. Different font sizes. Trends. Can actually see a public timeline. Different themes, though boring.

Bad: new tweets not highlighted. Have to shift to another page to see any mentions or DM’s. Crashes a bit. Don’t see mentions or DM’s automatically, have to shift to a different page. With free version, see the ad at top a lot. Can’t tell which tweets are new.

TweetDeck:

Good: Great functionality, have sliding pages between tweets, mentions, and DM’s. URL shortening. Can choose between TwitPic and Yfrog. Can see new DM’s and mentions numbered at bottom. Can add columns. Shake to refresh. Multiple accounts. Auto corrections.

Bad: horrible, dark color scheme, no other choices. No shading for new tweets. No font size change.

So, overall, will have to give it up to TwitterFon for usability. If I need to input a link, I’ll bring up TweetDeck briefly and do it there. Of course, lots of links won’t work correctly, anyhow, because they are iPhone formatted websites
