US Secretly Probes financial records to track terrorists

What is wrong with that headline? That is what was on Yahoo News.

 The US government has secretly monitored banking transactions around the globe since the September 11, 2001 attacks, top officials said, defending the program as a "lawful" part of the war on terror.

Well, it isn't secret anymore. Thanks, asshats. Or as Beth says, fucktards.

I wonder if the NY Times realizes that New York City is still a prime target for terrorism, and they are helping to increase the target rating?

If they thought about it, did they a. decide fuck it, anything to sell a paper and hurt the Bush admin, even if it harms the USA's security or b. not even consider the consequences?
