Big GOP Win In Caleeforneea

Ahnold says “Go GOP

A former Republican congressman narrowly beat his Democratic rival early Wednesday to fill the House seat once held by jailed Randy “Duke” Cunningham, one of several contests in eight states closely watched as a possible early barometer of next fall’s vote.

Republican Brian Bilbray emerged victorious after a costly and contentious special election race against Democrat Francine Busby, a local school board member.

“I think that we’re going back to Washington,” Bilbray told cheering supporters. He will serve out the remaining seven months of Cunningham’s term and get a boost for the November election.

What does this prove? Maybe nothing. Maybe alot. It could be that voters realize that, when push comes to shove, Republicans still have the best interests of the country at heart. Or, maybe that a couple bad apples do not spoil the cart. Or, maybe Bilbray had a better smile. Who knows. But this was supposed to be a bellweather election. And the GOP won.

Also, do liberals in Caleeforneea hate kids?

Hollywood director Rob Reiner was the leading backer of a measure in California to create a $2.4 billion universal preschool program, which went down to defeat by a 60-to-40-percent margin.

A State that votes primarily Democratic votes against preschooler’s. Certainly the program was very liberal, considering Reiner was backing it. Maybe it is another case of liberal “sshhh, those progressive indoctrination courses are good for other peoples kids, but not mine.”

Update: You have to love Al-Reuters headline: “Republicans dodge disaster with House win.”

All these nimrods in the media are acting like junkies waiting for their fix to show up in the biases need to see the Democrats win.

Maybe the headline should read “Democrats so bereft of popular policy that they cannot even win in district where GOP Congress Critter was sent to jail.”
