This kinda makes sense, but, Liberals will still blame the wrong people
(Patrice Hill, Washington Times Business) Attention American motorists: It is not ExxonMobil or Middle Eastern oil producers who are driving the price of gasoline you pay at the pump.
It is shortages of gas and other problems at aging refineries in your neighborhoods.
Don’t forget President Bush and his cabal of neocons, Patrice!
More plentiful gas is alleviating the pressure on pump prices seen earlier this summer when the need for maintenance and repairs at aging refineries left stockpiles at dangerously low levels.
"The refineries have finally gotten their act together," said Phil Flynn, an analyst at Alaron Trading Corp. "They’re back to normal, almost." The Energy Information Administration reported yesterday that refineries are operating at 93.6 percent of capacity, the highest in more than a year.
As the article, and conservatives have pointed out time and time again, it has been 30 years since a new refinery has been built. I suspect it was all some sort of BushCo plot he put together all those years ago, by passing the Clean Air Act, in order to reward his Big Oil friends. No?
Back to some reality, it doesn’t look like we are going to get any new refineries any time soon. And, with the constant whine fest about global warming as caused by Man and attempts to cut gas usage, along with increased demand, we could see gas prices jump up even more. We could end up buying our gas from China, where they don’t have the problems in building refineries. Wonderful, eh?
