Your Fault: Global Boiling Causing More Home Runs

There’s nothing more American than mom, apple pie, and baseball, right? So, of course the climate cult has to dig its skeezy, cult fingers into America’s pastime

Climate change is causing more home runs. Here’s why

climate cowWhile most impacts of climate change tend to be negative, here’s one that most would agree is not. In fact it may be exciting!

According to a recent study, Major League Baseball now sees more homeruns than it used to because of a warmer, more humid climate. And as the climate continues to warm, home runs in outside parks will continue to spike.

Baseball season has warmed by a few degrees all across the US due to climate change. The Tampa Bay Area baseball season has warmed by 3 degrees. Moisture in the air has also increased – a feedback of a warmer climate.

As a result a study found we now see around 60 more home runs than we used to a couple of decades ago. That’s because warmer – more humid air is less dense, which creates less drag, and allows the ball to travel farther.

The world has warmed around 1.6F since 1850. Tampa Bay is certainly seeing more of the Urban Heat Island effect and land use to cause it to be warmer than the surround areas. Even so, that’s just proof of localized warming during a typical Holocene warm period, it fails to prove anthropogenic causation for the globe.

For every 10 degree increase in temperature, the ball can travel 3 feet further. The climate has warmed by a little over 3 degrees, so that means the balls are now traveling ~1 ft further than back in the 1970s and that does not include the extra moisture, which adds more.

But, um, couldn’t it be mostly due to bigger, stronger players with better conditioning using better training and bats in the same size parks? Because some of these guys have been crushing it.

In the future, as we continue to warm the Earth, it is estimated we will see hundreds more homeruns per season in the MLB by the 2nd half of the century. This applies – of course – to outside stadiums.

Still wouldn’t prove anthropogenic causation. But, this is a cult, they have to scaremonger everything

Bummer: BBB Set To Mess With Climate Cults Justice Drive

I guess this really isn’t about “fixing” the climate

‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Set to Slash Through U.S. Climate and Justice Drive

In the end, President Donald Trump’s giant tax and spending plan rocketed past both fiscal hawks and social moderates in the House with no changes on Thursday.

The $4 trillion One Big Beautiful Bill Act is now ready to reach across the U.S. economy, slicing into every aspect of the national effort to address climate change and environmental injustice.

The 887-page legislation largely erases the landmark investment in cleaner energy, jobs and communities that a Democratic-led Congress made only three years ago in the Inflation Reduction Act.

It stomps out incentives for purchasing electric vehicles and efficient appliances. It phases out tax credits for wind and solar energy. It opens up federal land and water for oil and gas drilling and increases its profitability, while creating new federal support for coal. It ends the historic investment in poor and minority communities that bear a disproportionate pollution burden—money that the Trump administration was already refusing to spend. It wipes out any spending on greening the federal government.

Certainly, the BBB isn’t the most fiscally responsible bill, but, I’m loving what I am reading about killing off the federal government climate scam crap.

The bill also rescinds the Inflation Reduction Act’s Environmental and Climate Justice Program, which provided grants for community-based initiatives in disadvantaged communities.

That was all a scam for liberal authoritarianism. Glad it’s going away. Now, if Warmist states want to do things in their own states, have at it. If Warmists want to practice what they preach, and spend their own money, have at it.

NY Times: Oh, Hey, Remember When We Said There Were No TDA Members In Colorado? Our Bad!

Remember this from the NY Times because they, and the rest of the Credentialed Media, say the opposite of Orange Man Bad? (via Hot Air)

How the False Story of a Gang ‘Takeover’ in Colorado Reached Trump

surprise surprise surpriseMike Coffman, the conservative Republican mayor of Aurora, Colo., said he was at home on Tuesday night watching the presidential debate and bracing for the worst.

And then there it was again, before tens of millions of viewers: former President Donald J. Trump, describing Mr. Coffman’s Aurora, a sprawling suburb just east of Denver, as a city under siege, terrorized by migrants.

“They’re taking over buildings,” Mr. Trump said. “They’re going in violently.”

Mr. Coffman was contrite on Thursday as he told that story. After all, he had helped create the tall tale now sullying his city’s reputation.

So, basically, a long, long article from September 2024 about how it was all a Trump lie. There weren’t any Tren de Aragua gang members. Oh, about that, 10 months late, with Let’s Go Brandon gone

Democrats Denied This City Had a Gang Problem. The Truth Is Complicated.”

(recitation of what happened originally)

Jurinsky and other Republicans pointed to the Romeros’ video as evidence that large numbers of Tren de Aragua members had come with the influx of migrants. Democratic politicians suggested they were crying wolf: “There is no gang takeover in any part of Aurora,” Representative Jason Crow, of Colorado, posted on X. A representative for Jared Polis, the governor of Colorado, said that the “purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky’s imagination,” condemning what he called “recent misinformation campaigns.” The Aurora Police Department did not say whether it had verified the authenticity of the video or if arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.

So, Democrats like the people at the NY Times who denied it? It’s an incredibly long piece, which they try and make complicated.

By that point, the department had suspected for many months that there might be Tren de Aragua members in the Denver area. According to The Denver Gazette, police officers concerned about recent shootings exchanged emails seeking information about the gang as early as September 2023. John Fabbricatore, a former ICE field-office director in Denver who was then running for Congress, publicly condemned what he saw as Morris’s failure to address Tren de Aragua. But in conversation he suggested to me, in her defense, that her predecessor, Art Acevedo, had also sat on the information, wanting to avoid alarms on the eve of his departure. “I believe that he left Heather with a bag of trash,” Fabbricatore said. (Acevedo called that characterization “ridiculous.” “Our department was understaffed,” he said, “but we started working on it right away.”)

So, basically, they all knew back a year before Orange Man Bad said anything that TDA was present in the greater Denver area. And all those trying to deny it to protect Biden and illegal aliens/migrants were lying. And the news media wonders why there is so little trust in them.

Time Is Super Excited To Explain How You Driving A Fossil Fueled Vehicle Has Changed July 4th

Things were vastly different in 1776, and, no one should be shocked that the cult is trotting this out, right? It’s not news, it’s doomsday cult fearmongering

How Has The Climate Changed Since America’s First 4th of July?

The Founding Fathers who gathered in Philadelphia to adopt the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 picked a nice day to do their work. It was a Thursday, and the temperature at 6:00 a.m. was 68°F, going up to a warmish but still pleasant 76°F at 1:00 p.m., according to daily records kept by Virginia’s Thomas Jefferson.

The planetary metabolism at the time was set more for such balmy days than it was for the increasingly suffocating summers we experience in the 21st century. It was in 1867 that scientists would first define the epoch that includes the late 1700s as the Holocene—a period that began 11,700 years ago and is still ongoing. The Holocene was originally temperate, with atmospheric carbon levels measuring about 280 parts per million (ppm)—enough to keep the Earth warm but not stifling. About a billion acres of North America—or 46% of the continent—were covered in carbon-absorbing trees, further helping to regulate the climate. If anything, the planet was calibrated for cold. The first Independence Day occurred during the period known as the Little Ice Age, which ran from 1300 to 1850 and saw temperatures in North America falling 1°C to 2°C (1.8° F to 3.6°F) below thousand-year averages.

Hmm, so, Time mentions that it was a Holocene cool period, and what comes after cool periods? Warm periods. This has happened all throughout Earth’s history, including the last 8,000 year

“It was quite a bit colder [than average] in the 17th century,” says Kyle Harper, professor of classics and letters at the University of Oklahoma and a faculty member at the Santa Fe Institute. “The 18th century is a little less extreme, but it’s still part of the Little Ice Age. The 19th century starts to get even colder for a little bit. And then, of course, it turns around.”

That turnaround—a wholesale reshaping of our world’s climate—has been attributable in large measure to humans, and it’s what makes today’s Independence Day so different from the one 249 years ago.

Of course it was, in cult world. I guess we could go down the road of “what caused previous Holocene warm periods”, but, you already know this, and the cult will never listen to reason. Or give up their own use of fossil fuels.

Nearly 250 years ago, a small group of men on a little patch of that planet raised the flag of a new country. Today, that country—and the 194 others around the globe—face an existential peril the American colonists could not have foreseen.

UK Guardian Makes Damning Admission In Piece On Trump DOJ Discussing Cancelling Citizenship

UK Guardian writer Jose Oliveres was so upset over the prospect of naturalized citizens being stripped of that status that he made an interesting admission

Trump seizes on ‘moral character’ loophole as way to revoke citizenship

A justice department memo directing the department’s civil division to target the denaturalization of US citizens around the country has opened up an new avenue for Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda, experts say.

In the US, when a person is denaturalized, they return to the status they held before becoming a citizen. If someone was previously a permanent resident, for example, they will be classified as such again, which can open the door to deportation efforts.

The memo, published on 11 June, instructed the justice department’s civil division to “prioritize and maximally pursue denaturalization proceedings in all cases permitted by law and supported by the evidence”. Immigration matters are civil matters, meaning that immigrants – whether they are naturalized citizens or not – do not have the right to an attorney in such cases.

Whoa, wait a minute, civil matters? No attorney necessary? So all that apoplexy about illegals getting due process was overblown? That they do not require legal representation, because crossing the border is, as they all say, a civil matter, so they can appear in court without a lawyer and be handed a judgement of a small fine and deportation? Huh. Cool!

Muzaffar Chishti from the Migration Policy Institute, a non-partisan thinktank, explained that much of immigration law was based on discretion by government officials. To revoke a person’s citizenship, US officials must demonstrate that they are not of “good moral character” – a subjective and broad term with little defined parameters.

Now, the recent memo lists a broad range of categories of people who should be stripped of their naturalized citizenship status, providing further guidance as to who is not of good “moral character”. This included “those with a nexus to terrorism” and espionage, war criminals and those who were found to have lied in their naturalization process. Officials still need to prove their case, Chisthi explained.

As for stripping citizenship, the laws are real, but, rarely used. Reportedly, only 107 have been stripped. There are no published numbers of those who denaturalized themselves and left, which would allow them to return to the U.S., at least for visits. The Biden admin even published info on this back in 2024.

Would the Trump admin actually do this? He might, after the shitstorm Democrats put him through after Biden took office in January 2021. Trump was freed up to just go pedal to the metal. And there are plenty to strip and deport. How about Ilhan Omar and all the other hardcore Islamist Somalis up in Little Somalia, ie, Minneapolis, who were brought in by the government in a large group and given citizenship. They didn’t earn it. There are many more who are in the same boat, being Islamic extremists and/or America haters. I doubt that people who earned US citizenship, going through the full process, will be part of this.

For Jorge Loweree, director of policy for the American Immigration Council, a new category in the memo stood out to him: individuals accused of being gang and cartel members.

Loweree is concerned “because of the way that the administration has treated people that it deems to be gang members”, he said. “ It wasn’t that long ago that the administration flew hundreds of people from the US to a prison in El Salvador on, in most instances, flimsy evidence.”

What if they go through the process, which would necessitate going in front of a federal judge, and it’s proven they are gang members? Does AIC really want to protect gang members? Really, most 1st World countries have the same thing available to them, and use it.

Did You Know That 90% Of Life Died Off 250 Million Years Ago?

That’s a heck of a thing, eh? This could be interesting

The ‘Great Dying’ wiped out 90% of life, then came 5 million years of lethal heat. New fossils explain why

Around 252 million years ago, life on Earth suffered its most catastrophic blow to date: a mass extinction event known as the “Great Dying” that wiped out around 90% of life.

What followed has long puzzled scientists. The planet became lethally hot and remained so for 5 million years.

A team of international researchers say they have now figured out why using a vast trove of fossils — and it all revolves around tropical forests.

Their findings, published Wednesday in the journal Nature Communications, may help solve a mystery, but they also spell out a dire warning for the future as humans continue to heat up the planet by burning fossil fuels.

Good grief. This could be a very interesting story on new scientific discoveries, but, no, CNN had to go climate cult by the 4th paragraph.

Michael Benton, a professor of paleontology at the University of Bristol, who was not involved in the study, said the research shows “the absence of forests really impacts the regular oxygen-carbon cycles and suppresses carbon burial and so high levels of CO2 remain in the atmosphere over prolonged periods,” he told CNN.

It highlights “a threshold effect,” he added, where the loss of forests becomes “irreversible on ecological time scales.” Global politics currently revolve around the idea that if carbon dioxide levels can be controlled, damage can be reversed. “But at the threshold, it then becomes hard for life to recover,” Benton said.

This is a key takeaway from the study, Mills said. It shows what might happen if rapid global warming causes the planet’s rainforests to collapse in the future — a tipping point scientists are very concerned about.

It just goes to show that the climate cult has taken over legitimate science.

Ron Desantis: Hey, If You Don’t Want To Be In Alligator Alcatraz, Self Deport

This is something that myself and others have been saying

Ron DeSantis: Illegal Aliens Have Opportunity to Self-Deport Before Entering Alligator Alcatraz

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis explained on Tuesday that illegal aliens who are going through intake at “Alligator Alcatraz” — a detention facility to house, process, and deport illegal aliens — have the option to voluntarily self-deport before entering the front door.

DeSantis said on Tuesday that when they do they intake of illegal immigrants, they explain the option of voluntarily departing.

“So right when you do the intake, they have the information about voluntary departure. They have the ability, obviously, you guys are funding that, because it’s a lot cheaper to do it that way,” DeSantis said.

“So, even if they get brought to the front doorstep here, they still have an opportunity to just go back voluntarily,” he explained.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also drove this point home while touring the facility on Tuesday.

“If they self-deport and go home, they can come back legally. We will let them come back,” she told reporters as President Donald Trump added, “And there is a lot of self-deportation.”

It really is that easy. Leave. Pick a destination and go.

Meanwhile

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi: “A rogue district court judge is already trying to circumvent the Supreme Court’s recent ruling against nationwide injunctions.

The American people see right through this. Our attorneys [at the DOJ] will fight this unconstitutional power grab as [President Trump] continues to secure our border.”

Ignore the ruling!

Based on the Supreme Court ruling, the Trump admin can, because Moss is a federal judge for D.C. The only way he can rule is for those entering the US in his district. He has no authority over the border.
