25 Worst Figures In American History

Happy Friday evening, folks!  If you haven’t seen it yet, Right Wing News has this years “Conservative Bloggers Select the 25 Worst Figures In American History.” And, yes, I was one of those surveyed.

Now, I usually do not announce my submissions in the RWN polls, but, I thought it would be interesting to list mine

In no order:

  • FDR
  • The Rosenberg’s
  • Aldrich Aimes
  • Jimmy Carter
  • Woodrow Wilson
  • John Walker Lindh
  • Tim McVeigh
  • Charles Coughlin
  • John Wilkes Booth
  • Nathan Forest
  • J. Edgar Hoover
  • Ramsey Clark
  • Noam Chomskey
  • Al Gore (which is a shame, since I used to be a big fan of his, and even voted for him in 2000. Unfortunately, he has done serious damage worldwide, IMO)
  • Lee Harvey Oswald
  • John Dillinger

And, yes, I left Obama off the list, as he is not history as of yet.

Who’s on your list?

Whoa! You have totally skipped Tojo, Il Duce & That German paper hanger with the crummy “stash”. if you meant Worst AMERICAN figures, well then I can see your point…but you still left out those responsible for and profiting from the 18th amendment.

    Oh yeah, McNamara too.

“even voted for him (Gore) in 2000” Confession is good for the soul, William!

  3. fozzy says:

No Benedict Arnold? The guy’s name is a pseudonym for treachery.

25 worst figures? Hmm. Oprah Winfrey, Rosie O’Donnell, Roseanne Barr…Oh, wait! Not that kind of figure! My bad!

  5. iron, yeah, Americans.

I really did like Gore, proof. He used to be sane, and believe in the environment, but, whew! He want bat guano crazy.

Good point, fozzy. Could only put so many folks on the list, though. I think most lists ended up being more contemporary. I thought about Arnold, but, one of the things is he did not have long lasting damage to the country, which was one of the things I was considering.

That’s okay, William! In my sordid, ignorant youth, I voted for McGovern!

  7. […] See, here’s what happened: John emailed and asked blogs to “email me back an unranked list of 1-20 of the worst figures in American history. The figures in question can be living or dead and keep in mind, you don’t have to send me 20 of them. If you can only come up with a few, that’s fine.” We all had our lists, they were compliled, and ranked according to the number of times they appear on a list, which is how people like Jane Fonda and Michael Moore make the list, and John Walker Lindh and Robert Hansenn did not make it into the finals (FYI, Lindh was on my list).
