Waterboarding Torture And Necessary

So says one of the men who was directly involved with waterboarding Al Qaeda subjects.

No time to highlight some of the insanity from the Al Qaeda apologists on the left, so, just follow some of the links at Memeorandum, here and here.

You conveniently forgot to mention that the former CIA agent also believes “American’s are better than that” and we should not use this technique anymore.

If the best reason for using torture is that it COULD save lives, shouldn’t it be used on all P.O.W.s ?
Having lost the moral high ground by both using and defending our use of torture, how many lives has this COST ?

We aren’t using it anymore, Silke. You liberals keep forgetting that part. And, he is entitled to his opinion.

If there is a time we really need to use it, use it. Not on everyone, though, John.

Perhaps you two could offer up a better option that would get intel out of high profile al Qaeda members in a hurry? If you have no better option, then you are just whining for the sake of whining.

Teach, you keep forgetting it’s illegal. That’s not a minor point. And although we are not currently using it you are advocating its use at some point in the future. I disagree and so does the CIA agent who has practical experience with it.

As for what would I use to interrogate detainees – I recommend the current Army Field Manual (FM 2-22.3) Human Intelligence Collector Operations. If it’s good enough for those who actually deal with this dilemma on a daily basis it should be good enough for the CIA.

384 pages? Not really sure when I can squeeze that in.

I vote we go with the blaring music. Personally I can’t stand Ozzy. A couple hours of that set at 10? It’d make Carly Simon tell us who she wrote “You’re so Vain” about.

It’s a shame that Jihad Ryan wasn’t around
during WW II when the Waffen SS and Gestapo… waterboarded sunhumans …. in a shark tank! Ryan could have been FDR’s eyes and ears! – Saving Ayatollah Ryan 1942 & 2007 … And this guy actually believes what he distorts and spins? What a country!

… and subhumans and liberals and enemies of the state too! No ACLU in Hitler’s Fatherland back then… how come? Nor in Stalin’s RuSSia??

Torture is very good if what you are after is a confession.
It was VERY effective in eliminating the Satanic witches in Europe.
Darth seems to think that the Nazis should be used as our current role models, of course many on the right have views similar to many of theirs including that the end justifies the means.
