Judge Sara thinks she runs the Executive Branch. She’s already required ICE and CBP to wear body cams (which they only have a limited supply of). She’s Demanded on several occasions that they restrict their use of force against people assaulting federal agents. As I wrote back on 11/7

As usual, moonbat judges are high on feelings and short on law. What will happen is that the Trump admin will appeal, and there’s about a 90% chance the appeals court will say that Judge Sara has vastly exceeded her authority.

A US appeals court has temporarily blocked an order curtailing federal immigration enforcement in Chicago, arguing the lower court judge overstepped when she imposed strict and wide-reaching restraints on how agents can interact with protesters and journalists.

A three-judge panel for the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to pause the order issued by US District Court Judge Sara Ellis earlier this month.

In an incremental victory for the Trump administration, the appeals panel concluded Ellis’s order was “too prescriptive,” writing in their decision that she is “impermissibly infringing” on the separation of powers between the executive branch and the courts. (snip)

The judge also ordered the government to turn over extensive use-of-force records and other internal records.

But the appeals panel criticized the scope of Ellis’ order, saying it is so detailed it “resembled federal regulation.” They wrote that the order is so sweeping, it applies to almost any law enforcement personnel within the executive branch.

Huh. Now, it’s a temporary pause on Judge Sara’s order to adjudicate it all, but, the appeals court is also noting that the Chicago operations are winding down, so, the plaintiffs might not have standing, and that Judge Sara is an activist idiot.

Sherman Potter Bull CookiesPsychoanalyst and clinical psychologist Orna Guralnik became one of America’s favorite couples therapists through her role on the Showtime docuseries “Couples Therapy.” Guralnik has said in press interviews that she thinks climate change is at the root of many pressing challenges today, from our governments to the “mini political systems” we build in our homes.

Yale Climate Connections sat down with Guralnik to dive deeper into how she sees climate change affecting romantic relationships, families, and communities.

Yale Climate Connections: How do you see the climate crisis affecting our relationships with one another?

Orna Guralnik: I happen to think that the climate crisis that we’re all facing is probably the most important factor that is influencing global politics, all the way to couples’ relationships, family planning, and the way people live within themselves. I think it’s definitely the biggest threat and challenge that humanity is facing, and even the biggest climate deniers are, on some level, very aware of the fact that we have caused irreparable damage to the Earth. I see a lot of what’s happening in the world on a large scale and on a more local scale as a response to that crisis and impending doom.

My head hurts from reading that, causing eye roll.

Yale Climate Connections: When people come to therapy, whether it’s couples therapy or individual therapy, how might they be aware that climate change may be coming up in the room? Or how might they bring it up themselves?

Guralnik: People are often referring to this kind of free-floating anxiety that is on the rise now, and they just make these vague reference points to it. “Well, you know what’s going on in the world? Dot, dot, dot.” So it would be good for people to repeatedly pause and say, “What do you mean? What are you referring to? There’s a lot of things going on in the world. Let’s get explicit about it. What are you anxious about?” Like, break through the fog of defense, you know? And then, if you ask people, they will pretty quickly talk about not only the political and polarization tensions, but climate. It’s right there. Both the fear of the future and the shame and guilt about all this destruction that we’re engaging with every day.

Kinda sounds like she’s leading them into this cult insanity, which would be malpractice. Sounds like she needs a competent mental health professional who is not a cult member for her own issues. Seriously, Yale is trotting out a TV show host for this?

Day 2 Of Immigration Enforcement In Raleigh Area

‘They’re operating in the shadows’: Gov. Josh Stein, NC lawmakers respond to federal agents in Raleigh

Gov. Josh Stein said he hasn’t gotten a response from the White House about why federal immigration agents are in Raleigh Tuesday.

During an unrelated event the same day, Stein said, “They haven’t sat down and explained to us why they’re here, how long they’re going to be here, what their purpose in being here is.

The governor and fellow Democrats added the agents aren’t needed in North Carolina, stating they are only creating confusion and panic.

“They’re operating in the shadows,” Stein said. “They’re driving around Charlotte in unmarked cars, wearing paramilitary garb and masks. Stopping people on the street randomly, based on the color of their skin.”

It’s pretty clear why they are in Raleigh…actually, mostly Durham. They’re detaining the large number of illegal aliens in the area, because these uber-liberal cities have long protected illegal aliens. As for stopping people randomly, that is just a Democrat talking point. For the most part, they know exactly who they’re going after, since a huge number of illegals gave their names during the Obama and Biden administration. They received money and housing and such from them. The illegals are often not hiding in the shadows, as they used to do. They are given driver’s licenses by the state of NC.

But Pare’s Democratic colleagues, including state Rep. Phil Rubin and state Rep. Julia Greenfield, say that’s now what’s happening.

“They are taking people with no reasonable suspicion that they’ve committed a crime,” Rubin said. “They’re driving around Charlotte in unmarked cars, wearing paramilitary garb and masks. They do not have the power to do that.”

Greenfield said, “There’s no rhyme or reason to what ICE and CBP are doing. They are just targeting brown-skinned people who have an accent.”

Like I said, talking points.

Border Patrol presence leads to school absences, business closures across Triangle

The presence of Customs and Border Patrol agents in the Triangle on Tuesday created a ripple effect across the region, prompting families to keep children home from school and leading several businesses to close for the day out of caution.

“I think that more than anything else, they’re afraid,” said Anabel Rosa, a lawyer who volunteers with the nonprofit El Centro Hispano.

Several businesses across the Triangle chose not to open on Wednesday. Some shops along Chatham Street in Cary were shuttered, and others in downtown Raleigh, like El Toro Loco Taqueria, posted online that they were closing for the safety of the Latino community.

The restaurant’s post stated that their staff wanted customers to “feel safe, supported and protected during this time.”

If they want to feel safe, well, leave the US voluntarily. And it sure appears as if businesses are employing illegal aliens, which is a criminal violation.

Canada Receives Fossil Of The Day Award At COP30 Climate Summit

Canada received Tuesday’s Fossil of the Day award at the COP30 climate summit in Belém, Brazil. The award, bestowed by Climate Action Network International, recognizes the country deemed to have done the most each day to slow down global progress in response to climate change.

Adam Scott, executive director of Toronto-based Shift Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health, accepted the award on Canada’s behalf. Climate Action Network Canada (CAN-Rac) confirmed in an email Tuesday evening that the Canadian negotiation team had no advance notice that the country was under consideration for a fossil award.

CAN International chose Canada “with a heavy heart,” the network said in a release, “because the new government of Prime Minister Mark Carney has flushed years of climate policies down the drain, and is completely ‘Missing In Action’ at a COP where multilateralism needs to be saved. In addition to the backsliding on policies tackling Canada’s climate-destroying pollution, his Environment Minister Julie Dabrusin has chosen inaction and silence where leadership was urgently needed.”

I guess Canada was sort of coming back to their sense on the scam. Finding Reality Land

With this year’s COP heading into its final days, Canada “remains silent in the conversation” while other countries work actively to establish the Belém Action Mechanism, aimed at ensuring a just transition towards a low-carbon economy for workers, communities, and Indigenous peoples, CAN International states. “We see the G77+China, the European Union, and others propose ways forward for the Just Transition Work Programme, yet Canada remains vague. The country offers only sympathetic nods to domestic ‘sustainable jobs’, but no substantive commitment to the mechanism that could link global cooperation, justice, and climate ambition.”

The whole paragraph rather reinforces the scam. “Just Transition Work Programme”? Sounds like a good way to redistribute Other People’s money and get a piece of the slush fund.

On the domestic front, the release adds, the Carney government has “systematically dismantled a decade of progress” in climate policy, announcing new fossil fuel infrastructure in the last week as part of a major projects agenda that disrespects Indigenous rights, democratic process, and environmental assessment rules. “Meanwhile, as climate impacts intensify across Canada, the National Adaptation Strategy sits untouched, gathering dust—a stagnation mirrored here in Belém, where Canada has brought no ambition to the Global Goal on Adaptation negotiations.”

The award citation concludes: “Canada: we expected better. Your people deserve better. And the world cannot afford your retreat.”

Yeah, sorry, the cult is slowly dying out.

Elissa Slotkin, Fellow Dems Tell Military to Engage In Insurrection

Insubordination? Mutiny? This sounds pretty bad, and, I do not remember anyone on the Right telling the military to ignore Biden’s orders

(The Hill) A coalition of Democratic lawmakers with military and intelligence backgrounds urged servicemembers and those in the intelligence community to defy any illegal orders.

The video, which is edited to show multiple lawmakers reading one statement, comes as President Trump has carried out deadly boat strikes in the Caribbean, near Venezuela.

“We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now, Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution,” the lawmakers said in the video.

“Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear,” they added. “You can refuse illegal orders…you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”

What could possibly go wrong with this? I’m sure the DOJ can figure out a charge for these Democrat Senators if a service member is caught up following their advice. They are advising, at a minimum, for service members to commit insubordination, and you know most really do not have the knowledge to understand what is not a lawful order. At worse, they are calling for mutiny, for a coup.

(Newsmax) The lawmakers acknowledged they were asking troops to make difficult judgments during what they called a “hard” moment for public servants.

“But whether you serve in the CIA, the Army, the Navy, or the Air Force, your vigilance is critical,” they said. “The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.”

All this caterwauling primarily because the military is blowing up narco drug boats. These are same people who spent 4 years whining about J6.

Climate Cult Pope Sends Message To COP30: “Creation is crying out”

‘Creation is crying out,’ pope says in new message to COP30

While “creation is crying out” and millions of people suffer the effects of climate change and pollution, politicians are failing to act, Pope Leo XIV said.

As the U.N. Climate Conference, COP30, began its final week of meetings Nov. 17, the pope sent a video message to Christian representatives and activists from the global south who were holding a side event to the conference in Belem, Brazil.

The Paris Agreement adopted in 2015 at COP21 “has driven real progress and remains our strongest tool for protecting people and the planet,” Pope Leo said in the video.

“But we must be honest: it is not the agreement that is failing, we are failing in our response,” he said. “What is failing is the political will of some.”

On the bright side, Leo sent a video, rather than taking a long, fossil fueled trip to Brazil, like the other 40K+ in attendance. And he is 100% correct that Warmsits are failing to practice what they preach, though, what he means is that it is Bad that government is not taking everyone’s money and freedom for the scam. Not too mention Leo putting the climate god ahead of God.

Of course, Leo just had a whole bunch of actors and actresses fly to Rome for an event at the Vatican. What’s the carbon footprint?

California Sued By Trump Admin Over Mask Ban

Interesting: instead of simply saying “California has no authority over federal agents, they’ll continue protecting their identity and Gavin Newsom can pound sand”, we get a lawsuit

Trump admin sues to block California’s ICE mask ban

The Trump administration filed a lawsuit against the state of California on Monday, alleging its law banning federal immigration officers from wearing face masks is unconstitutional.

The lawsuit, filed in the Central District of California against California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D), says that the state does not have the authority to regulate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

Newsom signed the No Secret Police Act and No Vigilantes Act into law in September. The pair of measures, which take effect on Jan. 1, ban federal law enforcement officers from wearing masks while carrying out operations in the state and require non-uniformed officers to visibly display identification while performing their duties, respectively.

Before signing the acts into law, Newsom said that federal immigration officers would no longer be “hidden from accountability” while conducting operations in the Golden State.

There would be no reason for federal law enforcement to wear masks if the Democratic base wasn’t unhinged and would harass the agents and their families.

The suit also alleges that the California laws violate Article 5, Section 301 of the U.S. Code, which states that agency heads “may prescribe regulations for the government of his department [and] the conduct of its employees.”

In a Department of Justice (DOJ) press release on Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi said the California laws “discriminate against the federal government and are designed to create risk for our agents.”

I wonder if the Trump admin wants to take some shots at Newsom and Democrats for allowing everyone but federal law enforcement to wear masks. We see Antifa and others protesting and even getting violent wearing masks, but, no ban from California.

After Newsom signed the acts into law, the Trump administration instructed ICE officers to ignore their requirements. The Department of Homeland Security, citing an increase in threats towards ICE officers, said on the social platform X on Sept. 22, it will “NOT comply with Gavin Newsom’s unconstitutional mask ban.”

So, why the suit? To embarrass Gavin and Democrats.

Earth Has Tilted 31.5 Inches. That Shouldn’t Happen.

Water has power. So much power, in fact, that pumping Earth’s groundwater can change the planet’s tilt and rotation. It can also impact sea-level rise and other consequences of climate change.

Pumping groundwater appears to have a greater consequence than ever previously thought. But now—thanks to a study published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters—we can see that, in less than two decades, Earth has tilted 31.5 inches as a result of pumping groundwater. This equates to.24 inches of sea level rise.

“Earth’s rotational pole actually changes a lot,” Ki-Weon Seo, a geophysicist at Seoul National University and study lead, says in a statement. “Our study shows that among climate-related causes, the redistribution of groundwater actually has the largest impact on the drift of the rotational pole.”

Why did they have to drag the climate scam into this?

The study included data from 1993 through 2010, and showed that the pumping of as much as 2,150 gigatons of groundwater has caused a change in the Earth’s tilt of roughly 31.5 inches. The pumping is largely for irrigation and human use, with the groundwater eventually relocating to the oceans.

So, for irrigation, food production, and more. But, no, they had to jump in with the scam.

In the study, researchers modeled observed changes in the drift of Earth’s rotational pole and the movement of water. Across varying scenarios, the only model that matched the drift was one that included 2,150 gigatons of groundwater distribution.

That would be about 1/50 millionth of the globes circumference. That’s a lot smaller than a rounding error. Do we really have instrumentation that precise? But, wait, what was that about modeled? From the study

Climate model estimates show significant groundwater depletion during the 20th century, consistent with global mean sea level (GMSL) budget analysis. However, prior to the Argo float era, in the early 2000’s, there is little information about steric sea level contributions to GMSL, making the role of groundwater depletion in this period less certain. We show that a useful constraint is found in observed polar motion (PM). In the period 1993–2010, we find that predicted PM excitation trends estimated from various sources of surface mass loads and the estimated glacial isostatic adjustment agree very well with the observed. Among many contributors to the PM excitation trend, groundwater storage changes are estimated to be the second largest (4.36 cm/yr) toward 64.16°E. Neglecting groundwater effects, the predicted trend differs significantly from the observed. PM observations may also provide a tool for studying historical continental scale water storage variations.

So, not really data, just “we think”. This might have had more impact if they just stayed with environmental component, but, not, the media seems to be required to include the cult in everything.
