Weekend Survey from Right Thinking Girl

Right Thinking Girl has her Weekend Survey #10 up, thought I would answer, it’s a good one.

1. If you were a writer, what kinds of books would you write? I would write Science Fiction novels set just a little bit in the future, like 10-30 years, kinda like Michael Marshall Smith does.

2. Do you expect to ever be famous in your lifetime? If yes, what do you expect to be famous for? I might possibly be famous, and, if so, it will probably be preceded by the words "Hey, y’all. Watch this." I’d like to be famous for being the one that pushes the GOP into taking Nancy Pelosi’s ass in front of the Ethics Committee, and taking her down.

3. Say something liberal. My viewpoints on the environment are actually rather liberal. I believe in conservation as well as wise use, and tend to agree on quite a bit of the Democrats stances on the environment. If you want something Demaloon, then I would say "Bush sucks." Cause that is all they have.

4. Say something conservative. Our elected officials should be telling us what to do after elected (that is truly Classical Conservative.)

5. What did you dream about last night? Sorry, I tend to write no more then R rated :) Actually, I remember a little bit about walking along a nice trail.

6. What have you read this week? Include everything: magazines, emails, blogs, books, etc. About 200 work and personal emails, 13 resumes and pre-screening forms, as well as the in person interview forms. Every blog on my blog rolls at least once, still reading "Crown of Slaves" by David Webber. Almost done, it’s a slow read. Lots of news sites and sports sites. Golf Magazine. Lots of work related documents, including on international roaming and wireless email. A bunch of contracts.

7. Tell me about your worst date ever. Let’s see. That would be meeting this girl one night, and inviting her to one of these huge parties at my apartment while at ECU. We went out and grabbed a nice dinner before hand. Things got kind, well, you know. And we kinda, well, you know. Then I found out she was dating one of my Fraternity pledges, who also happened to be the singer in the band I was in. I hadn’t ever met her or seen her till then. Yup.

8. Name three of your bad habits and three of your good habits. Smoking, sitting on my ass on the PC to long, leaving crap everywhere (not dirty stuff, just stuff). Rarely drink caffiene, get lots of sun, reading books.

9. Tell me something you’re very proud of. My ability to fix things. All sorts of things.

10. Give me a piece of wisdom that I should pass on to Parker Grace (who is now twelve weeks old). There is a time to act on feelings and a time to act on facts. The trick is to know when to act on the correct one. See the modern Democratic Party and it’s "leadership" to see how to do it wrong.

Nancy is still loony

"The president’s rationale for the invasion was discredited long ago. Iraq is still not safe," House Minority Leader wackjob Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said.

Gee, Nancy, perhaps you could have commented on the actual Bill that came out of the House. It is no mystery that comdenation and hatred for President Bush is all the Dem leadership has. I wonder where we stand on occupation with some of our other military adventures?

  • Iraq (Bush): 2 years  and counting
  • Kosovo (Clinton): 4 years and counting
  • Bosnia (Clinton): 8 years and counting
  • Haiti (Clinton): 2 years
  • Somalia (Bush/Clinton): 2 years
  • Japan (Roosevelt): 57 years and counting
  • Germany (Roosevelt): 57 years and counting

57 years? Bring our troops home! Bosnia? Ok, if we go by the Dems thinking, no military deaths. OF course, we aren’t actually doing much due to the UN leadership. And Bosnia sure isn’t safe.

I’m just wondering if anyone has read anything positive on any Moonbat sites, the Kos/DU/MoveOn style ones. I sure haven’t.

Continuing the Pelosi attack

I’m going to do something I rarely do. Just say, “go read this.” No excerpting and commenting. I think this persons commentary stands on it’s own.

What I will say, again, is that the GOP congress critters need to get off their duff’s and start nailing the Demorats to the wall, particularly the hypocritical ones. Like Nancy Pelosi. She should be called in front of the Ethics Committee the minute they are done exonerating Tom Delay. The old saying is that politics is a dirty business. We would probably like it not to be. That being said, it is what it is. There are times to take the high road, but the demaloonacy has gone on far to long without a serious response to what the leftazoids have been pulling since January, 2001. It is time to fight fire with fire. Period.

I’m not calling for a blogburst, I am calling for a continued effort to get the Republican Congress critters to go on the offensive. Here is the plan. Go here, find your GOP Congress Critters for your State, and email them or mail them at least once a week telling them to get their butts in gear and go after the Dems. Here is what I have been sending.

Dear…..

As a loyal GOP supporter, I am dismayed by the lack of response to the vocal Democrats continuing attack on President Bush, his administration, Tom Delay, and everything Republican. It is high time that the GOP go on the offensive, and take it to the Democrats. You can start with the hypocritical ones, such as Nancy Pelosi, and take her to the Ethics Committee, as well as many of the others who have potential Ethics violations. The GOP must also be more vocal about the fact that all the Democrats have is complaints, but no plans. The GOP is not the minority party anymore, and needs to act like it is the one in power.

Thank you for you time.

What do you think about the Congressional Democrats, Professor?Image hosting by Photobucket

Runaway Bride: one and only post

This shall be my one and only post on the "Runaway Bride." To me, she did not appologize, what with having her lawyer read a statement, rather then her doing it. My 2 gold pieces, she needs to pay the costs of the search for her off, as well as do some community service, at the least. No pirate thong for her. She deserves granny panties. Burlap ones.

An interesting poll at the WRAL website shows that 77% of the respondents think she should be charged at the time of this post. OK, they say online is not scientific. However, consider that there were over 81000 respondents at this time, and, this area of North Carolina is typically Democratic leaning.

Now, I shall never mention her again. If she gets charged, just take it as written that I will go Mwhahahahahahahahahahaha!

Gee, Thanks for the lesson, Nancy

From the Desk of Nancy "clueless" Pelosi about Cinco de Mayo:

"On May 5, 1862, outnumbered and outgunned, Mexican forces successfully defended the town of Puebla against the French. Since that historic victory, Cinco de Mayo has come to represent freedom and self-determination for the people of Mexico, and it is a symbol of Hispanic unity, patriotism and pride.

"In the United States, Cinco de Mayo celebrates the rich cultural heritage Mexican Americans bring to this country and the contributions of all Hispanics in the United States.

"Hispanics are a driving force in our country — economically, socially and politically. Latinos are the largest and fastest growing minority group in the United States. They own a record number of small businesses — 1.2 million, with annual revenues of nearly $200 billion. The fastest-growing small business sector is Latina-owned firms.

"Hispanics want what all Americans want: an equal opportunity to succeed, a safe and prosperous America, a secure retirement, better health care access, and the best education for our children. Sadly, though, the Republican agenda leaves far too many Hispanics behind. One in three American Hispanics lacks health insurance, leading to delays in diagnosis and increased cost of treatment. Last week, Democrats unveiled a set of principles to ensure all Americans have equal access to health care. Our plan will expand health insurance and improve the quality of care to close the health care divide.

"All Americans — whether they have been here for generations or just arrived on our shores — deserve the opportunity to realize the American dream. This Cinco de Mayo, we honor the contributions Hispanic Americans make to our nation, and we recommit ourselves to extending the circle of opportunity for all Americans."

Yada, yada, yada. In the USA, Cinco de Mayo is another excuse to get drunk, especially on margaritta’s and tequila. Maybe some mezcal, to boot, for those that like the worm.

But, see, Nancy that one in three tends to be illegal immigrants. I understand that that phrase, illegal immigrant, is a difficult concept to wrap your warped mind around.

What a completely self serving wire release that was, wouldn’t you agree? There is political pandering, which is the norm, and then there is this patronizing piece of crap.

Meanwhile, have fun when the Ethics Committee gets around to you, Nancy. Along with a bunch of other Demorats.

Update: Blogoddess Beth is asking for open trackbacks. Can Do! We should all be thankfull that it is a post like this, rather then one of my photoshops :)

Why “God”?

Sorry, been in meetings since 8:30am, no access. However, wanted to share a little story.

On the way to the meetings, I passed a truck with a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. This truck also had another bumper sticker. It said

"God" Bless America

There was also smaller writing, but I was going to fast to try and read it, as well as being in another lane. What I want to know is why they felt it necessary to have God in quotes. I suspect that the writing underneath would have given some more clues. I also suspect that I wouldn’t have liked what it said. What sort of statement was this? There was no reason for the quotation marks.
