Atta, Able, 9/11, Grey Lady. No Slick?

I gotta tell you, it takes shear genius (or twisted minds) to write an entire article regarding knowledge about Atta and cohorts being known about in 1999 without one mention of Clinton:

The Sept. 11 commission knew military intelligence officials had identified lead hijacker Mohamed Atta as a member of al-Qaida who might be part of U.S.-based terror cell more than a year before the terror attacks but decided not to include that in its final report, a spokesman acknowledged Thursday. (nope, no Bill there)

According to Weldon, a classified military intelligence unit called ”Able Danger” identified Atta and three other hijackers in 1999 as potential members of a terrorist cell in New York City. Weldon said Pentagon lawyers rejected the unit’s recommendation that the information be turned over to the FBI in 2000. (Bill, where are you?)

”Even if it were valid, it would’ve joined the lists of dozens of other instances where information was not shared,” Felzenberg said. ”There was a major problem with intelligence sharing.” (nothing about Slick in that one)

Granted, the article was about the 9/11 Commission blowing it, but, as of yet, every AP, NY Times, La Times, and Washington Post article I have seen has failed to mention that Clinton was President during that time period, and it was his rules, through Jamie Goerlich, that caused the information to not be shared. Will they ever mention that Clinton was president till Jan 20, 2001, or will they somehow blame this on Bush?

Air Deadbeat-Hello, Grey Lady

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hey, how about this? The New York Times has crawled out of Liberal World, and posted a story on the Air America Saga. As Michelle Malkin puts it:

After 15 days of silence, the New York Times has filed a thin little report on the Air Scamerica/Air Enron fiasco. But you need a magnifying glass to find it. Go the the NYTimes.com homepage. Nothing there. Click over the National section. Nothing there. Find your way to the NY/Region section. Scroll way down past the featured stories.

Aha! There it is:

Bronx Boys Club’s Finances Investigated

But, yes, it is a total rehash of what has happened, covered in more depth by folks whose only editorial staffs are their conciences, including edited quotes:

"I don’t know why he did it," Mr. Franken said, according to a transcript of the broadcast made by the Department of Investigation. "I don’t know where the money went. I don’t know if it was used for operations. I think he was borrowing from Peter to pay Paul."

The real one:

I don’t know why they did it, and I don’t know where the money went, I don’t know if it was used for operations [softer, especially fast], which I imagine it was. I think he was robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Michelle recomends Ombudsman Byron Calame (public@nytimes.com). Do it. And, I wonder how Melanie Sills at The Raleigh News and Observer will take this?

Another Blogging Related CANNEDature

In case you are one of the 5 4 people who haven’t read Michelle Malkin’s post on Cindy Sheehan, which includes some vile emails that she has recieved, it appears as if the person who wrote on of those vile emails, in standard complete moonbat fashion, has been terminated, fired, canned, that is, from his job at Ogletree Deakins, a legal firm in Los Angelos. Good to see Gray Geddie, the Managing Shareholder, do the right thing.

I myself wanted to send an email to protest the abusive language towards Michelle to Ogletree Deakins, but, oops, I properly adhered to my companies email policy. It wasn’t going to be anything nasty or abusive, but it would have been innapropriate to send it (much less exposing myself and my company. No access to external email at work, per the firewall). To Patrick Mitchell: buh bye! I wanted my chance to write that email. Damn!

But you just know this will end up somewhere in Moonbat Land, probably the DU, maybe the main vampire, Kosbat, and they will become hysterical (or, as Michelle’s book will say, unhinged), over the firing of Mitchell for expressing his "Free Speech" Rights. "Is Mr Mitchell rehirable?" "Not a chance."

Oh, and there is info on nutjob Cindy Sheehan. Almost forgot. My little buddy is back for Sheehan and Mitchell.

The 9/11 Concert

Seems as if Donald Rumsfeld is going it alone and planning on a concert for this September 11th, and the Moonbats do not like it.

The Pentagon will hold a massive march and country music concert to mark the fourth anniversary of Sept. 11, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said in an announcement tucked into an Iraq war briefing Tuesday.

"This year the Department of Defense will initiate an America Supports Your Freedom Walk," Rumsfeld said, adding that the march would remind people of "the sacrifices of this generation and of each previous generation."

Armando at the Daily Kosbat says "just tasteless." Thanks for that pithy discourse, Armando. Steve Gilliard at The News Blog entitles his piece "Is he fucking kidding?"

These people idea of America is alien to what I was raised to believe. They think this is appropriate? The shitstorm which is coming their way will be quite impressive. And there will be one. Once the NY papers pick up on this, the screeching will be quite loud.

Disgusted isn’t the word for this. Violated, maybe. Ashamed, another. Wow.

Oh yeah, Clint Black should roast in hell for participating in this monstrosity. Why not piss on some graves instead?

No, Steve, "these people" believe in celebrating America, rather then tearing it down. We like out country. We believe in turning a negative into a positive, you believe in making it more negative. We believe in showing support for our country, and telling its enemies to piss off, you believe in telling us that the USA is evil, and we should reason with the enemy. You are entitled to your Free Speech, but Clint Black isn’t entitled to his? Such tolerance. Not that that is unexpected from the Left.

And the Left NEVER uses 9/11 for its nefarious purposes, eh? They never politicize it, eh?

This is a good way of telling the terrorists that we are not afraid of them, and they will not destroy us.

BTW, nice job of hotlinking that photo. Is that North Korea? Just for reference, it was the Left who supported Communism, not the right.

Air Deadbeat: who, us?

What’s happening in the Air Deadbeat scandal lately? Let’s see, they are still backpedaling and not fully repaying the "loan," and Exempt Media is still ignoring the story. Michelle Malkin links to a NY Post story (thank you for continuing to follow the story, Post), which shows that more people are quiting Gloria Wise

Just days after the executive director abruptly resigned following Post reports that the club had provided $875,000 in bizarre loans to Air America, two other top officials at the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club have quit.

Acting executive director Lorraine Corva — who took over after Charles Rosen suddenly resigned last week — will be leaving her job on Aug. 26, sources said.

Assistant executive director Jeff Aulenback also resigned, effective immediately, sources said.

What I find truly interesting is this

Corva made $181,000 a year, and Aulenback was taking home more than $150,000 annually, according to recent records.

The Boys & Girls Club is funded almost entirely from grants and government contracts.

That’s alot of money for a social services organization, eh?

Meanwhile, the Raleigh News and Observer is completely ignoring this story, despite the attempts of John In North Carolina. The N&O is THE paper for the Capital City, and is read from Raleigh to the Virginia border and all the way to the coast north of Jacksonville. I can understand how Melanie Sills can miss Air America. Despite Chapel Hill being a few miles down the road from Raleigh, you can barely get the wopping two hours of The Al Franken show within Chapel Hill. When I was working in Durham, I had trouble listening on the few occassions between 12-2 when I made the attempt. You darn sure won’t get it in Raleigh. But, you can get 680-WPTF, which has all 3 hours of Rush and 3 hours of Sean Hannity, among others, easily in Chapel Hill. Insert evil laugh here.

Confederate Yankee has more.

Also see Brian Mahoney at Radio Equalizer.

Cheney vs Hillary in 2008?

Sorry for the brief White Trash Wednesday interlude, but Jebediah is drunk.

Seems as if Bob Woodward has something to say:

Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination for president in 2008 and her Republican opponent will be none other than Dick Cheney, according to Watergate journalist Bob Woodward.

Speaking to a crowd in Aspen, Colo., on Tuesday, Woodward said there was a strong chance that President Bush would urge Cheney to seek the White House.

"He would be 67 if he ran and was elected," said Woodward. "Reagan was 69. Nixon was 68. Republicans always like the old warhorse … Both parties like to nominate vice presidents.

"Cheney would do it, and I think it’s highly likely."

If only he would. Dick "F-Bomb" Cheney would be a kick ass President, taking no prisoners. Would give the libs fits, especially Helen "I’ll kill myself if Cheney runs" Thomas. Remember this one from the Vice Presidential debates?

"Cheney, attempting to prove Edwards incapable of defending this country, shocked everyone with a startling revelation. "How do I know John Edwards can’t defend our country?" asked Cheney. "Because I abducted him from his home when he was a child and threw him down a flight of stairs, obviously causing permanent brain damage."

Cheney cracked his knuckles and added, "and I could do it again." Edwards was left in tears."

In reality, the VP debates showed that Cheney knows what he is talking about, and is cool and calm, until the point where he rips heads off.

Bill Clinton-Build Alliances

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hey, y’all, Jebediah here. Seems that that sex offender, Bill Clinton, wants the USA to be more friendly in winning the War on Terror:

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said on Tuesday the United States needed to build alliances rather than pursuing policies that might foster terrorism.

"We cannot isolate ourselves from the world behind walls. We cannot kill all our enemies," he said in an interview with France’s Le Monde newspaper.

"We need a strategy which will create more partners and fewer terrorists. Americans’ destiny is closely tied to that of other people."

"It is difficult to overcome the reflexes of national identity. But you will get there. The world needs Europe and a demonstration that intelligence, reason and goodwill are stronger than historical fate," he said.

Sure thing, Bill. Let’s just be friends with all the countries that support terrorism. Cause that worked so well while you were president, right? Talk about liberal to the max. "Don’t offend anybody, because the people who want to either convert us to radical Islam or kill us might get mad." Asshat. And perhaps it might be incumbent on Europe to cozy up to us, since we can, in reality, kick their asses, and our country keeps the world economy afloat.

Maybe you should have worried more about protecting the USA from terrorists, Bill, then being friends with other countries:

More than a year before the 9/11 attacks, Clinton administration intelligence officials had identified four of the 19 9/11 hijackers as a terrorist threat – including al-Qaida team leader Mohamed Atta and his partner Marwan al-Shehhi, whose planes destroyed the World Trade Center and killed over 2,700 people.

But the critical information was not acted on, at least in part, because of prohibitions against intelligence sharing implemented by former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick, who was reportedly installed in her post at the insistence of then-first lady Hillary Clinton.

See, Bill, you took an oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." Not a blessed thing in there about befriending other countries. You do what is best for the United States, irregardless of whether it hurts other countries. USA first. Here’s for you, Bill
