Happy Sunday! A gorgeous day in America. The sun is shining, birds are singing, the Redskins will be destroyed by 4pm. This pinup is by Ren Wicks, with a wee bit of help.
What is happening in Ye Olde Blogosphere? The Fine 15 (16 today)
As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page. While we are on pinups, since it is that time of year, have you gotten your “Pinups for Vets†calendar yet? And don’t forget to check out what I declare to be our War on Women Rule 5 and linky luv posts and things that interest me
Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!
Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

I don’t know what we’d do without all the artists and musicians jetting around the world and using vast amounts of energy
(UK Guardian ) Björk, David Bowie and a host of musicians, actors, artists, novelists and leading figures in the creative industries have called on negotiators at next week’s climate summit in Paris to reach a deal that staves off dangerous global warming.
The letter to the French foreign minister and the UN climate chief in charge of the talks is signed by a selection of A-listers from the British cultural scene, including actors Steve Coogan and Emma Thompson, musicians Damon Albarn and Guy Garvey, and writers Ian McEwan and Philip Pullman.
The creative industry’s letter to Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister who will be president of the talks, reads: “We are deeply concerned that our global economic and industrial systems are accelerating rates of extinction, desertification and soil depletion, degrading ecosystems, acidifying and littering our rivers and oceans, and resulting in a relentless rise in greenhouse gas emissions driving irreversible climate change.
“In short, we are overwhelming the planet’s life support systems.â€
Interesting. They do realize that their lives and the way they make their money is, according to their talking points, evil, right? That they are exactly the people they are complaining about?

Some say that it will be impossible to stop ‘climate change’ unless we have a big worldwide carbon tax. Others say we can’t stop it without a $100 billion slush fund to give to 3rd world sh*tholes, er, developing nations. Then there’s this one, written by Goji Berry, Chief Happiness Officer.
(One Green Planet)Although I love hoomans, the fact is that they’re not the most subtle creatures on the planet. They take up more space than anybody else and they dictate what the rest of us do. It seems like everything people do has a massive impact on the planet – I mean, there are billions and billions of them and they all mostly like and do the same things … so it kind of figures that all that adds up. One of the HUGEST things that all people do that impacts the planets, though, is their eating habits.
Sure, I get having a nice snack every now and then … but humans LOVE their cheeseburgers, and steaks, and bacon. And all of that love for meat and dairy and other animal products equates to a massive strain on the environment. According to the smart people at the FAO, animal agriculture is responsible for 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gases – that’s more than all the emissions for cars, trains, and airplanes.
If you haven’t figured it out, Goji is a dog, hence the strange writing. Not complaining, it is interesting.
A new study from Chatham House, an international think-tank of smarties, came out pointing to the fact that the only way we can hope to curb climate change is to stop eating so much meat. Given the fact that meat production uses over 70 percent of the world’s water resources, around half of the planet’s land is dedicated to either growing animal food or grazing the animals themselves …
The Chatham House study went so far as to assert that if we don’t all make a concerted effort to but down on our meat consumption that it will be impossible to slow the progress of climate change. Seriously people, get with the program. You’re wasting precious natural resources and releasing more harmful chemicals into the environment than ever before … but still one in eight people go hungry.
Well, there you go, Warmists. You have your marching orders. Stop eating meat. Because if you don’t, the planet is doomed! Show us the way.
This is exactly the kind of nutty, over-the-top, bat guano crazy pronouncement from the Cult of Climastrology that makes the tepid believers in anthropogenic climate change tune out.

That is the headline featured at Red State, as written by Leon H. Wolf. He writes
As of the time I sat down to write this article, we know absolutely nothing about the shooter at the Planned Parenthood in Colorado. Much of what we learn in the next 24 hours will be a mixture of falsehood and half-truths, if the normal news cycle is any indication. And yet, already we have multiple emails blaming RedState (and blogs like RedState) for the very existence of this guy. Here are a couple:
And he highlights a few. He goes on
Welp. We never on this site have ever advocated violence of any kind against Planned Parenthood or anyone else, and at this point we don’t know that the guy read RedState or any other conservative publications.
But I tell you what, I find this kind of thinking from liberals refreshing. See, for months, we have been trying to say that the terrorists who go around chopping people’s heads off and screaming Allahu Akbar, or blowing up planes full of civilians in Egypt in the name of Islam, or who shoot hundreds of civilians in Paris in order to strike a blow for Allah in the name of Islam ought to be taken seriously.
We have said repeatedly, “Shouldn’t the fact that these people all claim to be acting in the name of Islam cause us all to ask some pointed questions of Muslims about the extent to which they are fostering this behavior?â€
To Leftists, never. They cannot conceive of the notion that all this terrorism and extremist behavior from Muslims could have anything to do with Islam, even when the Islamists tell us that it has everything to do with what is written in the Koran. Those few who can conceive the notion won’t admit to it verbally or in writing. It is a Disapproved Concept, utterly verboten within Leftism.
Leon goes on to note “we ought to cast a good, long hard look at the preachers of that ideology to determine whether they bear some responsibility for the violent acts of their extremists”, and that Red State can withstand the scrutiny, and wonders if Liberals have confidence that Islam can withstand that same scrutiny.
Twitchy has all sorts of tweets which blamestorm White Christians. And all Conservatives. The NRA is being blamed. Republicans as a whole are being blamed. At Think Progress we see
In a statement provided to ThinkProgress on Friday evening, Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains CEO Vicki Cowart said it wasn’t yet clear whether the women’s health organization was the target of the attack. Cowart did, however, say that anti-abortion “extremists†have created a “poisonous environment that feeds domestic terrorism in this country.â€
“We don’t yet know the full circumstances and motives behind this criminal action, and we don’t yet know if Planned Parenthood was in fact the target of this attack,†the statement read. “We share the concerns of many Americans that extremists are creating a poisonous environment that feeds domestic terrorism in this country. We will never back away from providing care in a safe, supportive environment that millions of people rely on and trust.â€
So, what we’ve learned is that Leftists will blame every single pro-life supporter for the actions of a person for which we have no information on their political beliefs or any beliefs. Being pro-life is apparently “poisonous”. Yet, when we have lots and lots of violence in the name of Allah and Mohammad, we’re told this has nothing to do with Islam in the least. Allahu Akbar? It means “God is the greatest”. It is consistently screamed by terrorists who practice Islam. Does this mean that all Muslims are extremists? No. Not in the least. But, there is a big problem within the so-called Religion of Peace.
We’re told that only 10% are radicals. Other polls show just 7%. Some want to claim just 1%, at least of those Muslims living in Europe. Do the math. There are roughly 1.6 billion Muslims. What were 19 Muslims able to do on 9/11? The radicalization is something that progresses, though, with more learning the extremist views, who then teach their kids and others.
If every single Christian, white person, pro-choice believer, Conservative, Tea Party, Republican can be blamed for the actions of one person or small group, despite having nothing to do with the more extremist views, why can’t we blame a small part of Islam for the actions of their extremists?
