US Braces For Iranian Retaliation After Israel Wacked A Bunch Of Iranian Terrorists

If we had a strong president that person would be warning Iran not to f*ck with the U.S., it’s military, its citizens, or our allies in Israel. Instead, we have Biden, who’s in Delaware yet again this weekend, and seems to be taking the side of Iranian backed Hamas, a US State Department designated terrorist organization

‘The situation could escalate’: US braces for possible Iranian retaliation after Israeli strike

Joe Biden Ice Cream AfghanistanThe U.S. is bracing for a possible major Iranian attack on Israel or its forces in retaliation for an airstrike that killed several senior Iranian commanders this week, according to three U.S. officials and one Israeli official.

U.S. officials believe some kind of significant military action against Israeli forces could occur in the coming days, according to the officials, who were granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic. The Pentagon does not believe U.S. forces will be targeted, and is not repositioning its assets at this time, one of the officials said.

Still, the fear is that any Iranian retaliation on Israeli forces could escalate and spark a broader conflict, said the official.

“We’re in that window where we think they could respond at any time,” the official said. “The situation could escalate, then we get into what we are trying to avoid, which is a wider regional war.”

Top Iranian officials have vowed to respond after Israel’s airstrike on Iran’s consulate in Damascus, Syria, this week, which killed at least seven members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Among those killed was the top commander in Syria, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and his deputy, Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.

As the ancient Tibetan Philosophy states “Don’t start none, won’t be none!” If Iran wants to play by using their proxies or directly, well, they should be ready for a response. Yet, Biden and some of his unhinged Israel/Jew hating comrades want to deny Israel more arms

Israel has not taken responsibility for the strike, but Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh this week said the Defense Department had assessed that Israel was behind the attack.

Why would the idiots in the Biden regime even open their mouths? Unless they want a target on Israel

In the immediate aftermath, the Biden administration quickly conveyed to Iran that it had nothing to do with the attack, one of the U.S. officials said.

That is just so weak, and just will incentivize Iran to get frisky.

    Our distinguished host began:

If we had a strong president that person would be warning Iran not to f*ck with the U.S., it’s military, its citizens, or our allies in Israel. Instead, we have Biden,

The time for a strong American President was November 4, 1979, when Jimmy Carter hemmed and hawed, but when he should have made it clear to Iran that all of our people would be safely on a plane back to the United States within 72 hours, or we would count them among the unfortunate American casualties in the attacks which turned Tehran and Qom into radioactive black holes in the ground, and meant it.

Ever7 unfortunate incident in the Middle East since that time has stemmed from Mr Carter’s show of weakness.

  3. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Chest-beating warmongers like Mr Teach desire WWIII! Why don’t we nuke Russia for holding Americans hostage? Hamas has American hostages, so why won’t that coward Biden nuke Gaza, the West Bank and Qatar?

Forty-five years after the fact he wishes the US would have dropped atomic frigging bombs on Iran in 1979 killing the hostages and turning Iran into a sheet of glass. He imagines that that is strength.

In 1953 the United States, Britain and British Petroleum overthrew the democratically-elected secular Prime Minister of Iran, Mohammad Mossadegh, in a “coup” because he wanted Iran to control more of their own oil!! The horror!!

We installed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, as monarch, who arranged that Iran would share their oil with the oil companies. The Shah ruled Iran with an iron fist (his police force was trained by our CIA!) until he was overthrown in 1979 by Islamic terrorists who took the 53 American hostages that Mr Teach would willingly incinerate to teach the world a lesson for fooking around with America. Idiotic.

The hostages were released on Ronald Reagan’s first day in office, a “coincidence” arranged by Reagan campaign manager William Casey (without Reagan’s knowledge). They even offered PLO chief Yasir Arafat (who had close ties with the Iranian captors) an arms deal to hold the hostages until after the 1980 election!! Arafat said he refused. President Carter completed the negotiations for the hostage release on Jan 20, 1981.

Within a week, the Reagan administration made their secret arms deal with Iran.

My guess is that the Ayatollah Khoumeini would have realized, “O, poop! The US is going to end our Islamic Republic,” and send back the hostages, post haste! That would have demonstrated American strength, and saved us a lot of grief.

But, what if Iran called our not-bluff, and we did take out Tehran and Qom? Most if not all of the mad mullahs would have gone to their 72 virgins, and the Islamist government would be gone. There’d be no Hezbollah, no Marine embassy bombing, and no Iranian state-sponsored terrorism. There’d be no Iranian nuclear weapons program. There would (probably) have been no Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, and while there’d be some Palestinian terrorists, they’d be much weaker than today, without Iranian support. The Houthi would have no international support.

Other bad things would have occurred, no doubt; who can predict an alternate timeline with any real certainty. Jimmy Carter might have won re-election, which would certainly have been a bad thing. We might not have gotten Justices Scalia and Thomas, an awful thing. But the Middle East would have been much more stable.

No, you ignorant shithead. Learn the word DETERRENCE. The point is to make the Iranian lunatics believe you are going to without having any intention to do so.

Dana got it exactly right. Carter dithered in 1979 and all throughout 1980. This was clearly the wrong thing to do. Promising to turn their capital city into a smoking ruin if the hostages weren’t released in 72 hours would have achieved very different results.

We can expect no such display of strength and resolve from the current administration, run as it is by hacks and party operatives and headed by a shambling husk of a man who has been in on the take his whole life.

….unless we’re talking people protesting grooming in schools, then the administration is right on that shit.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      To whom it may concern:

And when they don’t acquiesce to your foolish braggadocio, and you don’t “bomb them back to the stone age”, then what?

The usually reasonable Mr Dana says we have to mean it when we make outrageous threats. Really? We should drop atom bombs, killing 53 Americans, to demonstrate how tough we are? Never mind that other nuclear actors would be watching. On the other hand he prostrates himself to Mr Putin over his invasion of Ukraine because he’s afraid of Russian nukes and WWIII. Actually, Putin entering Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania denotes the start of WWIII.

If Mr Reagan was a tough leader, after he won in a landslide, he should have told the Iranian militants “in charge” that they had 72 hours to release our people or at 12:00 PM Jan 20 1981 we would destroy Iran, including our hostages. Instead, the Reagan campaign, behind the scenes, promised arms to Iran against Iraq if they would keep the hostages until after the election.

Hamas is holding six American hostages. Do you recommend the United States teach the world’s terrorists a lesson and target Gaza and Qatar with tactical nuclear devices?

Talk is cheap when YOU have no skin in the game.

      • Brother John says:

Your selective stupidity knows no limits. It’s amazing.

We should drop atom bombs, killing 53 Americans, to demonstrate how tough we are?

You don’t do things like this to “demonstrate how tough we are.” You do it to smack down the barbarians, teach others considering the same course a lesson, and to mean things when we say them.

If, on November 5, 1979, such a threat was made and was treated with the appropriate seriousness — as in 1945 — we would be living in a very different world today.

Carter’s fecklessness aside, we were getting harder to take seriously after the Democrat party’s conduct during and after the Vietnam war, so there’s obviously that, but given that it is and always has been a party devoted almost entirely to securing power over Americans whatever the cost here or abroad, the context in history grows more obvious by the day.

he prostrates himself to Mr Putin over his invasion of Ukraine

Still haven’t bothered to work out what’s different from Finland joining NATO vs Ukraine joining it? Still mired in your pathetic ignorance, preferring instead to just spit up more fairy tales and parrot the stupid narrative betraying your aggressive lack of understanding?

If Mr Reagan was a tough leader, after he won in a landslide, he should have told the Iranian militants “in charge” that they had 72 hours to release our people or at 12:00 PM Jan 20 1981

Ever heard of a violation of the Logan Act?

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

          Bluster John,

Yes. Explain how the Logan Act kept President elect Reagan’s team from communicating to the Iranians that if the hostages weren’t released he would bomb them in 1981? After all his campaign manager communicated that it would be to the Iranians advantage to hold the hostages until Jan 20. How many Americans have been convicted of violating the Logan Act?

It’s you ignoring Putin’s humiliation over Finland (and Sweden) joining NATO. Why does he have a hard-on over Ukraine? It’s not because of NATO but because he wants to resurrect the Soviet Union.

Trump’s MAGAts such a you feel the need to make excuses for Trumputin.

      • Brother John says:

Hamas is holding six American hostages. Do you recommend the United States teach the world’s terrorists a lesson and target Gaza and Qatar with tactical nuclear devices?

Why? The smarter play here is to stand aside, shut our stupid pie-holes, and let the Israelis deal with the situation themselves. They would have done away with Hamas, Hezbollah, et al years and years ago had we not been fucking around with them over there.

        • Professor Hale says:

Hamas is holding six American hostages.

Correction. Hamas is holding 6 Israeli hostages who have American Passports. This is almost always the case. There are a few exceptions for when tourists are held and then there was the egregious example of Iran taking an entire embassy staff as hostage. But otherwise, the Americans around the world who are taken hostage are almost always foreigners from that country who just happen to also have American passports as if that should entitle them to some sort of immunity from bad things happening in far off lands.

What is much more important is the number of real Americans who are victims of crime HERE IN AMERICA as a result of Democratic party policies from unrestricted immigration to non-prosecution of criminals in cities, to deliberately undermining the concept of self defense and disarming non-criminal American citizens.

Six people who got into trouble on the other side of the planet, because they chose to be there, aren’t even on my radar. There are thousands of people suffering much worse, much closer to home.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

And yet, Mr Teach and some acolytes believe we should have dropped atomic bombs on Tehran in 1979.

Violent crime is on the decrease in the US and you are worried that there are not enough firearms in the populace?? Why change the subject?

So a US Passport does not make one an “American”?

  5. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Of course, don’t ignore the backstory. MAGAts NEED Americans to die in the middle east to fuel the brave Mr Trump’s campaign.

    • Brother John says:

How’s that, exactly, given that WE — the Trump supporting, America-first movement in the USA — are the ones OPPOSING all of this insanity?

      • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

The idiot Elwood doesn’t see us as “the Trump supporting, America-first movement in the USA”. It sees us as the white supremacist Christian nationalist anti black all Trump all the time party. Because his entire life revolves around his politics he thinks our does too. Because his politics is his religion he thinks ours is too. And because the only people he gets along with are fellow commies and Democrats living in a bubble he thinks that’s how we live too. No room for other opinions.

Thanks for another one of your farcical history lessons. I love how you touch on a grain of truth and then spinning complete yarn out of it. All because you absolutely refuse to give a conservative or Republican credit for doing anything good so it could not have been Reagan that did anything it had to be done “without Reagan’s knowledge” and by “coincidence”. You come up with arms deals and everything else all the kind of stuff that Reagan would have never done then you blame it on Reagan. I’m surprised you didn’t blame it on Trump.

You really are a fountain of disinformation.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      Brandon,

You can read all about it yourself.

Yes, even as a candidate Mr Reagan was hands-off. Would you prefer that candidate Reagan knew what the former spook William Casey was negotiating? In WWII Casey was the head of intelligence for the US OSS (precursor of the CIA) and was later the head of the CIA! He knew how to keep a secret.

The bulk of the history lesson was to illustrate how the American and British intelligence services fooked around in the middle east contributing to today’s mess!! And mostly to support the interests of multinational corporations!!

It was all true, but we understand how much easier it is for MAGAt to just deny the truth and facts rather than have to investigate.

Aren’t you in the Tampa area? Was there last week.
