To put forth an analogy. The little guy buys a home for 200,000 dollars. Of which he pays taxes every year on said structure. The house is appraised almost every year to establish the annual tax rate of a city, county and state.
Now said 200,000 dollar house goes up to 225000 dollars. Not only did his local, state and county taxes just go up but NOW.
NOW…he/she has to pay taxes on the unrealized GAINS of 25,000 dollars at 20 percent. I had my house built 20 years ago for 121,400 dollars. Just 6 months ago I got my local tax bill and its estimated value is 355,000 dollars. Yes I have done many things to increase its value thus supporting my local Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart etc. I have employed concrete subs and carpenter subs and flooring subs and have contributed heavily to the local economy as best as a poor man can.
