If All You See…

…is a big wall meant to stop sea rise, you might just be a Warmist

The blog of the day is Patterico’s Pontifications, with a post not all players being onboard with the Woke women’s national soccer team.

Wrapping up with a couple more photos of Ukrainian ladies, clean out the folder, so, check out The First Street Journal, with a post on high gas prices being exactly what the Elites want. And The Other McCain, with a post on crazy people being dangerous.

Had to have Milla.

The fossil fuel industry are getting record high profits. They traditionally have been donors to Republicans and are mainly based in red states.maybe the de.s do want high prices I for one who like to see high taxes and low profits. Fossil fuel companies are price gouging.

The wind and solar industries are getting record high profits ans well as record high government loans, grants and tax breaks. Billionaires are popping up all over from these industries as are they from the Big Pharma companies. NGO’s, 501/3 k entities are raking in trillions from government largess and public solicitation. They have been COMPLETELY donors to the Democrats/socialists and communist party apparatchiks since their inception with almost zero given to anyone else. They are mainly stationed in blue states to garner their $$$ then branch to red states to bust their competition. They buy politicians, businesspeople, celebrities and government employees, unions and even churches. They are totally beholden to the left and unlike fossil energy companies refuse to admit there is a place for all types of energy in America and the world.

There is no such thing ad “price gouging” in an open market. What you call price gouging we call “supply meeting demand” . Raising prices keeps the flow moving without it people hoard and we end up with empty shelves. Please learn some economics.

Lets go Brandon, pay off some more Russian oil companies and fill your pockets with cash all while telling everyone how horrible they are. Liar.

      John-have proof they’re price.gouging? Of course you don’t…

Russia’s second largest oil company has broken ranks with President Vladimir Putin.

Lukoil, which produces more than 2% of the world’s crude oil and employs over 100,000 people, has called for an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The company’s board of directors said in a statement to shareholders, staff and customers that it was “calling for the soonest termination of the armed conflict.”

Lukoil has franchises in the Eastern US, owned and operated by franchisees.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Russia’s second* largest oil company has not “broken ranks” with Putin. Their statement “calling for the soonest termination of the armed conflict” is an admirable desire for peace. They are still producing and selling their oil to the UNITED STATES since the fool in the oval office is too stupid to want his own people to benefit from US resources. So while Fuk Joe Biden finances Putin’s war on the Ukraine we pay higher and higher prices for oil we could get at a fraction of the cost if the dope would open up exploration and production of our own.

As alternative energy sources and EV’s are developed and improved our need for fossil fuels will diminish but that is sometime in the future. Right now a responsible leader (?) would outline a plan whose goal is equilibrium between our supply and our demand for oil. I realize basic economics like supply and demand eludes communists because they think everything must be forced on people but that really does not work. Hey Brandon, the USSR is calling you and want their failed economic system back.

Let’s go Brandon is determined to destroy the American economy beyond all repair. Why we don’t know and he ain’t saying. But somehow power is most likely behind his reasoning. So we’re fuked.

*LukOil is the 4th largest oil producer in Russia right behind Rosneft, Surgutneftegas, and Gazprom. The top three had no comment on the war so far.

Marl0n Brand0 is full of it. He understands naught about global oil.

The US will ban the import of Russia crude, just as the West will send materiel to Ukraine, including fighter jets (if they figure out how to get them there).

The jets are important, the crude is not, but a symbol is still a symbol. This step-by-step increase in sanctions has crippled the Russian economy.

Can (or should) the US try to block ALL exports of Russian oil and gas (mostly to Europe)? The US imports relatively little Russian crude.

Marl0n Brand0 typed: They are still producing and selling their oil to the UNITED STATES since the fool in the oval office is too stupid to want his own people to benefit from US resources.

As noted earlier, Mr Brand0 is full of it!!

Please examine the figure in this document where the relationship between petroleum production, consumption, exports and imports is shown. U.S. petroleum production started a rapid increase in about 2010 (likely in anticipation of trump’s presidency in 2016! That’s how powerful trump is!!). Exports increased and imports decreased during that period. Consumption rose until the pandemic hit. Note, that even in 2020 the U.S. imported 7.86 million bbls/day (and about 0.5 million bbls/day from Russia… about 6% of total petroleum imports). It’s almost as if Mr trump was lucky to be prezzy in 2020 as the decade long import-export curves touched!!

The United States is the seventh-largest oil exporter. As noted above, the country significantly increased its oil output between 2011 and 2020. In 2020, the U.S. produced 18.61 million barrels of oil per day, about 20% of the global total.

The U.S. imports about 0.2 million barrels a day from Russia. That is about 3% of all our crude oil imports.

In 2021 the U.S. exported more petroleum products than it imported!! Biden’s energy independence!!
