WHO: Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic Could Maybe Be Over By End Of Year

But only if nations go full Woke

COVID-19 health emergency could be over this year, WHO says

The worst of the coronavirus pandemic — deaths, hospitalizations and lockdowns — could be over this year if huge inequities in vaccinations and medicines are addressed quickly, the head of emergencies at the World Health Organization said Tuesday.

Dr. Michael Ryan, speaking during a panel discussion on vaccine inequity hosted by the World Economic Forum, said “we may never end the virus” because such pandemic viruses “end up becoming part of the ecosystem.”

But “we have a chance to end the public health emergency this year if we do the things that we’ve been talking about,” he said.

WHO has slammed the imbalance in COVID-19 vaccinations between rich and poor countries as a catastrophic moral failure. Fewer than 10% of people in lower-income countries have received even one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Ryan told the virtual gathering of world and business leaders that if vaccines and other tools aren’t shared fairly, the tragedy of the virus, which has so far killed more than 5.5 million people worldwide, would continue.

See, it’s so easy. All these rich countries which spent oodles of money developing vaccines, and already give a lot of aid in money, goods, and services, should simply give up their vaccines (which are already being sent in quantity to 3rd world shitholes developing nations). Further, it’s mostly 1st world nations, and some 2nd world ones, that are getting nailed with Omicron right now, and the vaccines have been shown to not stop infections. The 3rd world is mostly safe.

Ryan also waded into the growing debate about whether COVID-19 should be considered endemic, a label some countries like Spain have called for to better help live with the virus, or still a pandemic — involving intensified measures that many countries have taken to fight the spread.

“Endemic malaria kills hundreds of thousands of people; endemic HIV; endemic violence in our inner cities. Endemic in itself does not mean good. Endemic just means it’s here forever,” he said.

But, being still in pandemic gives some in government more power to control citizens.

Fellow panelist Gabriela Bucher, executive director of the anti-poverty organization Oxfam International, cited the “enormous urgency” of fairer distribution of vaccines and the need for large-scale production. She said resources to fight the pandemic were being “hoarded by a few companies and a few shareholders.”

You know, it’s interesting that none of them are aiming any barbs at China, which released this virus, and is putting out completely BS reports on infections, hospitalizations, and deaths among their citizens.

In a separate press briefing Tuesday, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the omicron variant “continues to sweep the world,” adding there were 18 million new COVID-19 cases reported last week.

China is simply absolved. How about demanding China gives their vaccines to the developing world?

I’ve got to admit: I love how Dr Ryan has conceded that violence is an endemic feature of our inner cities, those bastions of long-term Democratic control and policies.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Why do you think street violence is so pronounced in inner cities?

Then, please explain why white collar crime is endemic in companies, corporations, boardrooms and Wall Street, those bastions of long-term Republican control and policies.

The FBI estimates the cost of white collar crime in the US is between 0.5-1.7 TRILLION USD every year, at least 10 times the cost of street crimes.

      • Dana says:

        The questioning Mr Dowd asked:

Why do you think street violence is so pronounced in inner cities?

You already know the answer: it’s the black inner city culture.

It ain’t gun control, because white people live under the same gun control laws, and aren’t killing each other at anywhere close to the same rates. I’ve already done the numbers for you: in your own home town, the homicide rate for black males is 205.48 per 100,000 population, while for whites, it’s, if not negligible, 8.54 per 100,000.

I lived in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, for 15 years. Carbon County, population 64,749 according to the 2020 census, which made it only 4.04% the population of Philadelphia. The county went eight entire years without a single homicide, 1996-2004, even though it was under the same gun control laws as Philadelphia, and everybody I knew had guns. One fellow with whom I worked had so many firearms that some were still in the boxes in which they came.

        Did I mention demographics?

The racial makeup of the county was 97.82% White, 0.60% Black or African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 1.46% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

        Numbers are numbers, Mr Dowd.

In 2020, Carbon Countians gave 65.37% of their votes to President Trump, and only 33.34% to Joe Biden. Philadelphians gave 81.44% of their votes to the Dummkopf from Delaware, and only 17.90% to Mr Trump, but I’m sure that had no relationship, no relationship at all, to Philadelphians killing 499 of themselves in 2020, and 562 in 2021.

I get it: you want to do ‘whataboutism,’ but your claim that it’s ‘endemic’ “in companies, corporations, boardrooms and Wall Street” is just that, a claim, without any backup. If the “cost of white collar crime” is “at least 10 times the cost of street crimes,” you still haven’t proven that there are ten times as many white-collar criminals as urban street thugs; the most that could be said, if that guesstimate by the FBI is accurate, is that each white-collar criminal manages to steal a lot more money than the average urban street thug.

It is, of course, raaaaacist to mention the problem, because the problem is that the huge murder rate in St Louis and Philadelphia and Chicago is a huge black murder rate, and to point that out, well it’s just wholly politically incorrect.

Dowd: “The FBI estimates the cost of white collar crime in the US is between 0.5-1.7 TRILLION USD every year, at least 10 times the cost of street crimes.”

That’s bullshit! If that’s the best the FBI can “estimate” then they should be disbanded just for that notwithstanding their deep corruption.

First of all white collar crime is by definition almost all money crimes. Now how many murders, rapes and other physical crimes does the FBI estimate are from white collar crime? 2? Maybe 3? But then one can’t put a price on 21,570 murders can one?

The knee-grows in the inner city Democrat plantations across America kill more people than the Taliban in an average year.

Let’s go Brandon! Sen Kennedy lists his achievements:

The beautiful young Brianna Kupfer, murdered by an inner city knee-grow in a deep blue LA. Leftists as far as one could see and they all worry about the non-productive totally destructive underclass. Because, Power!

Here Dowd, look at what your policies have wrought!!!

Let’s go Brandon, more Ashli’s and Brianna’s for your supporters to murder. Of course as a crooked Democrat she can still vote.

          • Dana says:

The LAPD have identified a suspect in the senseless murder of Brianna Kupfer, though, last I heard, they had yet to apprehend him. The suspect, Shawn Leval Smith, was already out on $1,000 bail for a crime he allegedly committed in California. He shouldn’t have been out of jail to start with. He was out on a $50,000 bond from South Carolina for a 2019 shooting. His rap sheet goes back to at least April 2010. District Attorney George Gascon, yet another of the George Soros-funded stooges, will probably offer this miscreant a sweetheart plea deal, if not outright let him go.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Speaking of the senseless murder of a young woman by a nasty thug…

OXFORD, Miss. (WJTV) – A former Ole Miss student is expected to plead guilty for allegedly killing his classmate Alexandria “Ally” Kostial in 2019. Miss Kostial was from St. Louis, MO.

Investigators found Kostial’s body on July 20, 2019, in Harmontown near the Buford Ridge area. Two days later, Theesfeld was arrested at a gas station in South Memphis.

A Lafayette County Grand Jury indicted Theesfeld on a capital murder charge. According to a preliminary autopsy report, Kostial died from multiple gunshot wounds.

            Meanwhile in Kintucky…

A Kintucky man pardoned by the state’s former governor in a homicide case was convicted in federal court and sentenced to nearly 40 years in prison for killing a man inside his home during a robbery, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The vile thug Patrick Baker was sentenced to 42 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Claria Horn Boom.

Then-Gov. Matt Bevin (R-KY) pardoned Baker in 2019, claiming that the evidence of his crime was “sketchy at best.”

However, the pardon stirred accusations of corruption from state Democrats after information surfaced that Baker’s brother and sister-in-law had held a fundraiser for Bevin in 2018 and raised more than $21,000, according to the outlet.

Here, LG, look at what your policies have wrought!!!

Notice the overt racism of Jeff. All white collar jobs are white men. In his world blacks are not capable of having a white collar job. Now will come his meaningless stats from some web site. But in Jeff’s comments he always feels blacks are not capable.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The lady (Davie Porter) doth protest too much, methinks! I didn’t mention white men, but Davie did. I compared street crime to white collar crime. Does the overt racist Davie assume that only Black men commit violent crime?

Never, ever forget; With conservatives, it’s always PROJECTION.

Davie, do you not recall when you called all the Black folks you dealt with lazy and stupid, and caused all their own problems?

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

BOZEMAN – The man accused of shooting and killing two brothers early Saturday morning appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court Tuesday morning.

Zachary Eugene Norman, 24 of Three Forks, was arrested on two counts of felony deliberate homicide in connection with the shooting investigation on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.

Norman’s attorney noted that he has no criminal history and had requested bail of $10,000.

Judge Adams ordered Norman not to leave the state, with no possession of firearms or possession of alcohol. Norman’s next court appearance was set for Feb. 11 in district court.

Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer identified the victims as brothers Brendan Estabrook, 32 of Three Forks, and Chase Estabrook, 31 of Butte.

Incidentally do not buy KN-95 masks which are made in CHINA. Thus the KN designation rather than the N-95 masks that are made in other countries that are not in the business of killing people without remorse or recourse.

Look for the NIOSH certification when buying N-95 masks.

If a mask is advertised as N-95 but has fancy print on it, suggests they are made for kids, or has your favorite sports team emblazoned on the front of the mask then they are lying and are not NIOSH approved N-95 masks and most likely will not protect you from much of anything.

Cloth masks are essentially worthless. Despite having your favorite sports team emblazoned on the front of them. The old saying “better than nothing” is true. You will have almost no protection from the virus and might end up with a false sense of security by using a cloth mask. Surgical masks are better than cloth masks but are only about 30 percent effective in preventing the spreading of the virus.

I am only pointing this out to those at-risk individuals who believe the mask they are wearing is going to save them from the virus. It is not. Only an n-95 approved by NIOSH is going to offer real protection and still that is not a 100 percent guarantee to do so.

So if you are at risk, your best bet is to be vaccinated and continue to isolate yourself or at the very least be very careful when in public. Keep your distance, wash your hands, protect your eyes as well as your mouth and nose. If you are healthy, then live your life and stop being fearful of this virus. Omicron is a cold. The staggering truth is your own CDC director told Fox news a week or so ago that over 40 percent of all Covid admissions were from something else and coincidentally they had covid.

This is skewing the numbers. Additionally, the strong belief is that Omicron is giving YOU immunity from the virus. Still to be proven. I am not giving medical advice. I strongly urge you to personally consult your own doctor and do your own research. Just giving you some starting information.

    • CarolAnn says:

I do want to offer medical advice: Don’t take medical advice from bureaucrats, politicians, the media, celebrities, athletes, school teachers, unions, plumbers, lawyers, police, commenters on the internet or anyone without an MD after their name. And even then think about what they’re saying, if it makes sense and if they have a monetary interest in an outcome one way or another.

Then ignore them too. This whole thing has been a hoax from day one. Oh, not the Covid. The way it was politicized to alter the outcome of an election.

The CDC and other 3 letter agencies, Dem governors and politicians have worked overtime to assure higher mortality and morbidity.
