CNN Seems Pretty Upset That States Are Relaxing Their COVID Rules

It’s easy for people who were considered essential workers and never missed a paycheck to complain, eh?

A top health official warned relaxing Covid-19 measures threatens progress. A day later, more states said they were easing restrictions

A top health official warned the US could see an “avoidable” Covid-19 surge if Americans let up on mitigation measures now. A day later, two more states unveiled plans to loosen restrictions.

“The continued relaxation of prevention measures while cases are still high and while concerning variants are spreading rapidly throughout the United States is a serious threat to the progress we have made as a nation,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Monday.

It wasn’t the first time Walensky brought up concerns about the easing of safety measures. And a chorus of other health experts have made a similar point: While vaccination numbers continue to climb, safety measures will be critical in the coming weeks to help curb another possible surge as a dangerous variant spreads across the country.

“It’s really very much a race,” Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, told CNN on Monday. “If we can continue to accelerate the number of people vaccinated in this country… I think we’ll be in a much better position. But you have unfortunately a lot of governors releasing restrictions, people are traveling… and this B.1.1.7 variant.”

It will always be something with these folks. Perhaps they should have been more forthright when the nation was mostly shutting down and mostly Democrat governors, along with those in charge of cities and counties, were going crazy with their restrictions. There really is little difference between those areas which put massive restrictions in place and those that didn’t. And you see those with massive restrictions, such as the UK and Italy, continuing to have big problems. There becomes a point where people are tired of this and thinking that the Elites are trying to over-scare us.

Since the start of the month, at least a dozen state leaders have eased Covid-19 restrictions. And a day after both experts’ remarks, two more governors announced plans to relax some measures.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Tuesday that starting April 6, the state’s face covering mandate will become a state mask advisory. Face masks will remain mandatory in state buildings and facilities as well as at Covid-19 testing and vaccination sites, the governor said.

In Virginia, Gov. Ralph Northam announced that starting April 1, both indoor and outdoor gathering limits will increase and certain sports and entertainment venues will be able to operate with additional capacity.

At some point, all the restrictions have to relax and go away, right? If not, why? Why try and scaremonger?

Many state leaders — including those who have opted to relax restrictions — have in recent weeks expressed optimism about inching closer to the end of the pandemic, citing lowered Covid-19 numbers in comparison to the winter surge and increasing vaccinations.

So far, more than 83.9 million Americans have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, according to data from the CDC. More than 45.5 million are fully vaccinated, according to the data. That’s roughly 13.7% of the US population.

So, over a quarter of Americans have been vaccinated, and you pair that with all those who have the antibodies after having COVID. As more become vaccinated, what rationale will the Elites use to keep restrictions in place?

“….what rationale will the Elites use to keep restrictions in place?”

Why Teach, have the election-stealing fascist taught you nothing?

The next “rational” for keeping the American citizens on lock down, wearing masks, staying at home, not socializing and going broke is “systemic White supremacy”. They’ve been working on that narrative since before Wuflu and are now ramping it up to deprive us of our gun rights. And more.

Remember their Big Lie for Wuflu: “We are all in this together”. Riiiiight. How many pro leftist lost their jobs compared to conservatives who lost their businesses?

I want to emphasize I’m not talking about the danger to democracy. I’m talking about the danger to the Freedom of People. After all, freedom begins inside you. If you are afraid to speak publicly about your views, you’re not a free person.

The new think that was once a Communist norm has become an American habit.

Freeborn American citizens are afraid to say and do anything that would upset a leftist in fear they’ll lose their livelihood, or more.

The government has over 400 people being prosecuted for “sedition” regarding the 1/6 Capitol riot. So now Freeborn Americans are being told in a not so nice way “Protests against the Leftist Junta will not be tolerated”. If you think the election was stolen you are now an official Enemy of the State. If you act on that belief by protesting you are a Traitor.

Interestingly, the people who burn the flag and kneel for the National Anthem are the heroes of this scenario while those who served the country, honor the flag and ask for an accounting are the “Seditionists”. And apparently can be murdered in cold blood by government operatives with impunity. Not even a week off w/o pay for the cop who murdered Ashli, let alone a murder investigation. They ignore murder like they ignore election fraud and they make sure there’s a lid on media and social media to quell the questions.

  2. Professor hale says:

The logical extension of all this is that there is no reason for anyone to work or pay taxes. China can deliver all of our manufactured goods. Mexico can feed us. Central americans can drive the delivery trucks and clean our toilets. Free pay hecks for everyone from the government using money they create out of thin inlimited air.

  3. Kye says:

That is the logical extension, Professor. At some point we Free Citizens must ask ourselves “Who are our People”? Are we with the pro-fascist/communist conspiracy trampling the rights of us because we’re White, Christian or Trump supporters? Or are we with the Ideas of our Founders?

The fascist/communist coalition that is driving America into dust and White Western culture into oblivion. White genocide can be accomplished the old fashion way through mass murder of the neofascist way, through cultural erasure. Every time an American says “black lives matter” he infers White lives don’t. Every time a Free Citizen is denied the Freedom to Speak on today’s soap box, Social Media, we are all diminished.

Fact is if you can’t answer “Who are my people?” then you have no people, only relationships and ideas. And this is why they’re being steamrolled by groups that do have a people.

You are not a conservative if you have no people. American conservatism is attempting to conserve ideas (freedom of speech, meritocracy, etc.), not a people. But ideas are expressed in words, and words are malleable and open to endless debate – especially by leftists. Trying to conserve ideas puts you permanently on the defensive. It’s also very vulnerable to propaganda.

But conserving and promoting a people is not open to such debates and gives you a simple, unassailable answer to almost any question.

Should we increase immigration? No, the immigrants aren’t my people and this land is for my people.

Is off-shoring jobs good or bad? It’s bad for my people, so it’s bad.

Is this organization diverse? Don’t care. I built this company for my family and my people. I hire my people.

When talking with my family and friends, I tell them that the difference between me and you is that I have a people and you don’t. The statement bothers them, which tells you that it’s hitting its mark.

I am a nationalist, an American Nationalist. Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and anybody else who claims that Americans are their People are my People. People who state black lives matter and not American lives matter can drop dead for all I care.

Your people aren’t the American people? Your race isn’t the human race?

Let me clear up Black Lives Matter for you. It doesn’t say or mean ONLY Black Lives Matter. It DOES mean that Black Lives Matter, also. The prevailing attitude in America is that only White Lives Matter.

It’s “convenient”, if not easy, to imagine that Caucasians in America are under threat and victims. It’s convenient in that American Caucasians as a group have privileges and entitlements that other Americans don’t.

      • david7134 says:

        Jeff,
If you are going to cheerlead for an organization, at least find out about the organization. And don’t lie, especially here, other than you and John, the commenters are intelligent. BLM was founded on a lie, establish lies as its mission statement and its “peaceful” protest seem to always incorporate loot and destruction. When you try to turn statements around you really appear dumb. As to privileges, those used to be earned, but now are given to non-whites, just to get votes. Mostly al you do is gaslight, seems you would get tired.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

davis: the other commenters are intelligent

LOL. Keep saying that. nuCons are not driven by intellect but by feelings, beliefs and conspiracies.

How is being born Caucasian an “earned privilege”?

      • Jl says:

Good-so if we said “white lives matter” it would be understood that all lives matter. Thanks

      • Dana says:

Are you sure it doesn’t mean that only black lives matter to these cretins?

From CBS News: Why saying “all lives matter” communicates to Black people that their lives don’t

From VOX: Why you should stop saying “all lives matter,” explained in 9 different ways

Including more than two links would send this comment into moderation, but if you Google saying all lives matter is hateful, you’ll get 307,000,000 returns.

Why is it that the left only notice the killings in mass murders? When it comes to individual murders in our city streets, we hear nothing but crickets

The left are appalled that an Islamic Pillsbury Doughboy killed ten people in Boulder, Colorado, but just as many people were killed over eight days in Philadelphia. As of midnight yesterday, 111 people were murdered in Philly so far this year, eleven times the Boulder total, and nobody says [insert slang term for feces here], because the vast majority of the victims were black — all ten of the Boulder dead were white — and the vast majority of their killers were black as well. But the left say nothing, because any real criticism could be taken as criticisms of Negroes, and we can’t have that! That would be raaaaacist.

So, no, there really isn’t any actual evidence that black lives matter, because the only time anyone objects is whan a black person is killed by a white police officer.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Mass murders reverberate throughout society more so than individual murders. Over 500,000 Americans died from Covid in 2020 alone, but 3000 killed on 9/11 was more impactful.

How does Mr Dana propose to stop the violence associated with impoverished Americans in metro areas?

Do you not understand the threat when the state kills its citizens? The nuRight is beside itself because Ms Babbitt was shot while committing a crime, on video no less.

Always remember that the sole purpose of news organizations is to sell commercials. Anything they can do to sell air time is justified in their world. Trump did disrupt them but my feeling is that Trump angered the media as he did not follow the path to the presidency that has been in place for at least the last 100 years in which the media has the role of king maker. They had to get that back by destroying him.

  5. Kye says:

“Always remember that the sole purpose of news organizations is to sell commercials.”

I recall when that was true too, but no more. The current purpose of “news organizations” is to parrot the fascist/communist propaganda of the American left, cover the left’s ass every time they fuk up (almost daily) and promote ideas and policies more in common with the Chinese Communist Party than the US Constitution.

Case in point is at this very moment the demofascist brain trust of Schumer, Nazi Pelousey, Hussein and the rest of the usual “hate America firsters” is a way for a complete and total gun confiscation. That’s why the US Army is occupying DC. They are scared shitless of a revolt since the stolen election if they fart wrong.

Yet they will not stop eating beans because they don’t care how many Americans will die since the main idea is to eliminate those very Americans. Why else would they once again flood the country with foreigners even as we have over 30 million already here?

Remember, Xiden is the most loved and popular president of all times! Hell, he got 80 million votes, don’t ya know?

If you believe that then you’ll believe anything the Fake News feeds ya.

    • david7134 says:

      Kye,
Agree, the media has become more politically active. But they still remind me of Hearst and his starting the Spanish American war. I hope that is the spelling of Hearst, if not?

  6. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Teach: It will always be something with these folks.

Did the desire to control conservatives just appear with Covid?

    Conservatives invent conspiracies as needed.

Kye: Hell, he (Biden) got 80 million votes, don’t ya know?

Actually President Biden received 81 million votes to trump’s 74 million.

  7. Kye says:

No, he didn’t. And your “party’s” unwillingness to investigate the shenanigan’s of the fake election proves you know he didn’t. You’re an insurrectionist and a subversive and work wittingly or not for CCP. And Xiden is a fraud leader.

  8. Dana says:

    Our esteemed host wrote:

At some point, all the restrictions have to relax and go away, right?

Reichsstatthalter Andy Beshear (NSDAP-KY) has said that no, the mask mandates will not be dropped anytime soon, despite fairly low COVID rates.

The esteemed Mr Dowd said in a comment a few weeks ago that the COVID restrictions virtually eliminated the flu this past winter. If that’s the case, why wouldn’t these drunk-with-power Governors reimpose a mask and social distancing mandate this coming winter — assuming the COVID mandates have elapsed by then — because influenze can be fatal as well?

  9. Hairy says:

Itceas just a little over 1 year ago that Trump was yelling you and youveefe believing him that the virus was going to magically disappear in April when the weather got warmer
Did any of question that ? Why should anyone listen to what you say now when youso mistaken 1 year ago ?

    • Kye says:

First, Trump made no statement about the virus “magically” disappearing. He was guilty of assuming the Wuflu would disappear like the regular flu does seasonally. I did too. Most people did because most people are aware of the term “flu season” sadly you apparently are not.
And to answer your question “Why should anyone listen to what you say now when youso mistaken 1 year ago ?” , you are under no obligation to believe anything. But We could point out how you still believe the charlatan Fauci who has been wrong on almost everything for over a year. You ramble about since Trump’s prediction (which it was) proved incorrect nothing he ever says again should be believed. That is infantile. Especially it was Trump’s initiatives that brought us the vaccine within a year and facilitated the end of mask mandates (unless you’re a nut).

You don’t seem at all concerned about the estimated 30,000 Wuflu carriers that chairman Xiden the CCP puppet is allowing to cross our border monthly. Why is that? We know, doesn’t fit the narrative.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Perhaps one of the problems was the labeling of Covid-19 as just another flu for political reasons. Infectious disease experts noted early on that it was serious and potentially a pandemic. 550,000 dead Americans later proves who was correct. The previous administration and their supporters denied reality (again!) and tried to wish the pandemic away. The president was torn between what he knew to be true (from the experts) and his nuRight supporters who thought/think Covid was scam/hoax to overthrow him. He had to always be looking toward Nov 3, 2020 and his voting base.

It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear. — President Trump, 27 Feb 2020

Dr Fauci is still around as head of NIAiD.

        Mr trump is gone.
